We were drawn in to Bill’s after sampling their pizza on a street corner! It was great pizza. However when we returned at 6pm the next night we had a horrible experience. We waited to get a table, waited to place our order, then waited(45 minutes!) again for our pizza. It did not arrive at our table until after 7pm. Paying our bill took forever because our waitress disappeared again. We didn’t get out of the restaurant until 8pm and all we ordered was a small salad and 1 pizza. Ridiculous! The staff never apologized or even acknowledged how long the meal took. The pizza was good but I would never return due to the poor service.

Dude.. you gotta go here at least once in your life… Wait with everyone else outside(no reservations). Get led to your table through the crowded room of tables. Lots of noise and lots of people. Servers running like crazy from table to table. Also, lots of fun!!! Everyone is here. The salads are large and easily split between two people. The pizzas are awesome. I judge most pizzas by their crust, and Bill’s Pizza crust is exceptional. It’s not doughy, it’s not hard and crunchy, it’s perfect, and actually has flavor. I’m sold…

If I could rate 0 stars I would. The girl laughed at me because I asked for delivery and it was«too late». I was calling for information and she laughed as if I knew the times. I asked«do you just laugh at me?» And she replied«yes, we’re closed, don’t you know» wonderful service you guys have. Grade A talent. Serve me pizza. You have 1 job.

I do not understand all the rave reviews. Better than Pizza Hut, but still rather ordinary. Undercooked, crust. Floppy with no char. An average American pizza. Decent for Palm Springs and friendly service. I will go back to NYPD next time.

Pizza is good. Great Monday drink specials but WOW terrible service!!! If you want to come I suggest you come with plenty of time. Maybe even sit close to the cash register. That way they see you. Plenty of street parking around. It’s 2 hour parking which is good because you’ll need that time. Even when the server dropped off our food she didn’t give us refills. Other severs kept their heads down and avoided eye contact. Had to order beers by getting up and going to the counter. It’s not worth the wait. There are plenty of other good pizza places with ACTUAL service

Although I am from Chicago the place were some of the best pizza in the world is, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised I ordered chef Steve creation Everything was quite good the roasted garlic was fresh, the sausage was delicious, fresh basil and crust cooked to perfection which is not easy with thin crust and so manny toppings. Highly recommended if your craving pizza in Palm Springs.

Confession: I didn’t manage to eat here. But I tried! The pizza must be amazing. But funny story is how I tried. Me and my crew just finished riding and supporting this 100 mile bike ride. WEWEREHUNGRY! And mmmmm pizza. But we were all tired so we decided to ask for take out at Palm Springs’ #1 rated pizza joint. I call: do you do take out? Yes, they say. Please hold. And so I’m on hold for about 10 minutes. While on hold, my friend calls: do you do take out? Yes! He orders two large pizzas. They say sure thing $ 54 dollars please. He has questions about the order. Please hold. Now both of us were put on hold. While on hold ANOTHER friend calls Bill’s. He asks them, «do you do take out?» They said no. LOL! Pizza fail! We ended up with Domino’s that night. Beggers can’t be choosers I guess.

Came in around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. The place was packed so we had to wait about two to three minutes for a table. It’s a bit confusing at first but turns out, it is seat yourself. It was busy but after about five minutes of sitting there with no menus I had to walk up and grab two for ourselves. We then waited for about five more minutes for our drink order then another five or so minutes to place our order. Once we ordered, it took about twenty minutes for our two small pizzas to arrive. Granted, it is busy and you could see the staff was working tirelessly, however, the wait times were unacceptable. I’m not in the restaurant business, but I think they would benefit by adding one or two more staff members. The décor is pretty standard pizza fare, very casual and there seemed to be a lot of families and bigger groups. I heard about this place as it was on a cnn list for the top 10 pizza parlours in the United States. Criteria for the list was #s of reviews on tripadvisor and the mention of «best pizza» in the review. Sad to say but, it’s hard for me to imagine that this place is a true top 10 in the US. Maybe in California but even that might be stretching. Seems that the Top10 list was biased towards those that had a lot of tripadvisor reviews(maybe places visited by tourists?) because Bill’s Pizza isn’t on many other lists that I could find. With that said, it is very solid pizza. Top 10 in the US is pretty up there, but taken for what it is, it is very solid. I really enjoyed the creativity with their pizza selection and their uniqueness. Their pesto sauce and garlic olive oil are really nice touches and set them apart. I was looking forward to their sourdough crust, but unfortunately that was just average. It is definitely better than most, but not up there with some of the best crusts I’ve had from places in Portland or NY. We ordered the Sickle & Hammer and the Bacon Me Crazy and both were really fantastic. The pizza was well cooked and the ingredients were fresh. The creativity in the pizza’s was fantastic. Two thumbs up. We also thought the prices were reasonable, $ 12 for each small. Their price to quality ratio was very fair. Unfortunately, I think this place had a lot of hype to live up to and it didn’t quite make it there. However, it is a very fine pizza in it’s own right. It is a place that I would come to if I am back in the area again. Easily. Pros: creative pizza’s, cool atmosphere, cost/quality ratio is good. Cons: wait times were a little long, parking seems like it can be a hassle, bathrooms are outside. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and I would recommend it to anyone in the area. I would go 4.5 stars if I could, but have to say 4 because I felt the service could have been a bit better.

Nice place to catch a slice. The pizza is typical American: thick chewy dough, thick cheese, some melted grease, and great toppings. A tad slow in the service area. Three solid stars.

I got the 18inch half and half Elton John and Bills. The pizza was delicious and just overall great first time experience. We went when it was not as busy so this review may not be as helpful to some. So the service we got was excellent. Just a few tips. –You can’t get the gluten free on an 18 inch. Wish they can make it available for it. –And a 10inch is typically for just one person. –and yes you can order«half and half». I suggest doing half and half cuz you can definitely get tired of eating the same pizza over and over. –if you get the Elton John, ask for some balsamic vinegar and eat it with the crust. Tasted great

I’ve seen an article that mentioned Bill’s Pizza as one of the best pizzas around. So on my recent trip to Palm Springs I decided to stop for a couple of slices. I went with the pepperoni pizza and an iced tea. The pizza here is on the thin crust side. The crust was so excellent. I loved it. Enough sauce and cheese. I’ll definitely come back for more. Service was friendly and attentive.

Walked by one night after dinner somewhere else and loved the fact that it was so crowded inside that people were standing outside next to giant heaters eating pizza out of the box. We had a beautiful Autumn salad and a pizza with sausage, pepperoni and mushroom. Oh. My. God. Thin, tasty crust, loaded with toppings. And the salad was so, we attempted to make it ourselves when we got back home. Only not-so-wonderful part is having to go outside and through a veritable maze to find the single seater restroom.

I know Bill’s Pizza is one of the top 10 pizzas in the US, but I strongly disagree. They really lucked out with a reputation like that, because their pizza certainly doesn’t warrant a spot on that list. We ordered an 18″ — half Elton John and half Bill’s Favorite. The Elton John pizza has garlic infused olive oil sauce, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, cooked spinach, red onions and four cheeses(including feta!). Bill’s Favorite has Bill’s sauce(a mix of pesto and classic red tomato sauce), pepperoni, salami, sicilian sausage, onion and tomato. Both came highly recommended but fell flatter than the pizza itself. The sourdough didn’t have the wonderfully yeasty flavor I was looking for. I love sourdough bread, and this crust didn’t seem wildly different from the generic crusts at every other pizza parlor. The toppings were unique — especially on the Elton John, but it wasn’t as impressionable as the name of the pizza. So fitting it would be the most popular choice in Palm Springs! The diner is fairly sized with red and white checkered tablecloths on every table. It’s a very casual vibe. Prepare for a line if you come on a busy night. The tables are usually filled, so we took ours to go. You can order by the slice or a whole pizza. If you opt for two flavors like we did, you’ll pay for the more expensive choice. There was about a 20 minute wait, perhaps because we didn’t order ahead and ordered a half-and-half. There is street parking outside.

So, you say you are one of the Top 10 restaurants in the good olé USA on Trip Advisor, eh? I’ll be the judge of that! I was headed out to Los Angeles for my buddies bachelor party. Whenever we head out to CA, it is usually to San Diego first so we always take the 8 and stop in Yuma for lunch. Well, this trip out, I would be taking the 10 most of the way out. I had heard about this pizza joint a few months back, and I knew I had to stop to check it out. I browsed the menu online and decided that I would go with the Chef Steve’s Creation(Bill’s sauce(more on that later), roasted garlic, spinach, sausage, red onion, mushroom, basil, mozzarella and asiago cheese). I called in and placed my order for a small one, to be picked up at 2pm. I drove down, found parking about a block down, walked in, paid the lady my money($ 13.00 something) and took my pizza to go. I drove to a gas station to fill up, get a drink, and then busted open my pizza there in the parking lot. Here is how it was… Chef Steve’s Creation– Sounded delicious. That IS why I got it in the first place ;-). I opened the box and noticed a few things. 1. There was a huge pile of grease just pooled in the corner of the pizza box. WTF? 2. The toppings were not that uniform. Seemed like a bulk of the toppings were on one side of the pizza. 3. This pizza was pretty small for $ 13.00! I broke off a slice, and noticed right away that this dough was a bit droopy. Not Neapolitan style droopy, but more like greasy/wet droopy. I went to pick up a slice and it folded in half and the toppings went flying! I picked up the toppings that slid off and put them back on. Almost needed a knife and fork for this pizza. First bite in, I wasn’t that impressed. The«Bill’s Sauce» consists of half red/half pesto. I’m not the biggest fan of pesto, and never order it on purpose. My bad for not looking at the description of «Bill’s Sauce». Anyways… I did get a bite of the sausage which was excellent! They use a hot Italian sausage, and it was the best part of this pizza. I got a few bits of roasted garlic, too. The other toppings were kind of sparse, and just meh… they didn’t add anything special to the pizza to elevate it to another flavor profile. A plain sausage and garlic pie might be the way to go. Anyways… the pesto sauce left a lingering taste in my mouth the whole way through the pizza. I ate the whole thing, because as my friend Rizz would say, «I’m no pussy»! but I wasn’t that impressed. The crust was decent. At least it wasn’t wet like the dough. A bit more«bready» than I thought it would be, but it had decent flavor at least. When I was done, I was wanting more. I was going through different pizza combinations in my head wondering if another choice might have been better? Honestly, I don’t know if it would have. Even their«slices» in the display case, didn’t look that great. Overall, I’m glad I stopped. Far from the worst pizza I have ever had, but this isn’t cracking anywhere near my top 20 – 30. Not sure how it got«Top 10» status on Trip Advisor. If I lived in Palm Springs, I would probably come back. If I’m on the 10 and have to drive 8 miles off the freeway to get this pizza, I’m going to pass. I wish it was better than it was!

FINALLY! I see my friends check in to Bill’s all the time, when I am not in Palm Springs. I almost felt as if I was not worthy enough but my lovely friends finally brought us here for a drunken dinner during Pride weekend. OMG I think we ordered just about everything on the menu. But it was ALL amazing. We will for sure be back. Oh Oh Oh & wonderful service. Very friendly & attentive, despite being extremely busy.

Best pizza in town I hear online and in person, from Beverly Hills to Palm Springs. Well, it was pretty darn good! And seeing as it was the ONLY pizza I tried, I can’t say if it’s the best in town. Just the facts: Conveniently located in the middle of downtown, complete with free and close parking. Get there early or get it to go. They only take cash or debit. A beer while I waited all of 10 minutes for my order, was $ 3.75. Okay, so it was a hard decision on the pizza selection. Everybody, including employees I met prior, said«Elton John». But I realized this was not a red sauce. I wanted red sauce. I went with the«Mooselini»: Red sauce, mozzarella cheese, custom made Sicilian sausage & chorizo, pepperoni & asiago cheese. $ 11 for a personal(10″) that I devoured like a starving man rescued from a desert island. It was everything I’d hoped for, everything I needed. Bill’s was a delicious experience I would highly recommend. Cheers!

Since I’m not from Palm Springs, I usually defer to my friends when it comes to food in Palm Springs. It is kinda tough when I make a suggestion and they don’t have a perfect answer. But there is one thing they are unanimous on… if you want pizza, order from Bill’s. I’ve sat down here once and taken to go once. Not saying Bill’s is the best I’ve personally ever had, but I would certainly agree with my friends that this pizza is bomb AF! The variety offered on the menu in terms of specialty pizzas is awesome, probably have tried like 6 or 7 different types. And yes, they let you split a pizza half and half any kind of way you want to as long as it’s a large. Definitely worth, and it’s good to know that if I ever need something decent from Palm Springs that I get something from here.

First things first: NOCREDITCARDS. Cash or debit only.(Mark my words: one day, Unilocal will put a special symbol or something on each business’ page if credit cards aren’t accepted. It’s that important.) Bill’s recently received a spot in a 10 Best Pizza ranking. Not 10 Best in the desert. 10 Best in the U.S. of A. Lord knows(as does my cardiologist) that I’ve had my fair share of pizza. So is Bill’s really one of the precious Top 10 in these United States? No, sorry. But it’s still really good stuff. We got a large pie, half Bill’s Special(basically a meat lover’s with Bill’s pesto-y sauce) and half Elton John(vegetarian with huge chunks of artichoke hearts and lots of cheese). Elton won, hands down. Although I’m a committed carnivore, and the meaty toppings on Bill’s were plentiful, it definitely could have used some more of Bill’s sauce(insert joke here). Don’t get me wrong, it was still delicious. But just a tad dry. But Elton. Oh, Elton. It was clean tasting, juicy and scrumptious. Trust me – this pizza could turn a sabre-toothed cat into a vegetarian. Big-time drink specials on Mondays. I had two draft Goose Islands for $ 2 each. Beat that. Waits can be long so fair warning. I wouldn’t wait 40 minutes but I might wait 25. Everyone has their limit. Leftovers were great the next day, too.

Eep was the pizza here awesome!!! Seating inside and an outside patio. Decorated in a cool old school pizza joint. A busy pizza place and for good reason. They sell it by the slice, individual(10′) and large(18′) they also have a few salad options and that is about it, food wise. Ordered a Mooselini and an Elton John pizza. A Caesar salad and some adult bevies. Beer and wine a must on this hot day. The pizza was so good. Made fresh and piping hot. So glad I went with the«must try» Elton John pizza. A veggies dream. Made with a white sauce, spinach, artichokes, onions, garlic and tomatoes. Really good. Can’t comment on the other pizza since I didn’t try it, but my husband assured me it was great. He ate it all!!! So glad I didn’t finish it all and was able to get the rest packed to go to enjoy the next day. Only wish this place had dessert!!! Some pie or even a cold ice cream treat would have made this place 10+. If you have a pizza fix, this is the place to go. Pricing was reasonable and best thing the food was great. This Canadian will be back and very soon. Most likely one more time before I fly home!

Hatte Rosies Pizza& Cesars Salad. Eindeutige Empfehlung, auch mit Kindern: Ehrliche amerikanische Pizza mit Qualität, ohne Brimborium. Keine Credit Cards, aber ATM im Restaurant vorhanden.
