It seems like most of the negative reviews come from delivery customers. IFYOUCOMETOTHEACTUALLOCATION, your experience should be phenomenal. I’ve been driving around 45 mins here for a while because I love the atmosphere, the pizza, and the beer. The pizza kitchen is right next to the bar and the bar is always playing great music. You can order your pizza and have a couple drinks while you wait or while you eat. It really is a great spot to stop by.

Very good pizza. Better than those chain pizzaria’s. Read other comments. DON’T AGREE, guess you have to understand, good pizzas can’t be hurried.

Crapy service and if you buy drinks from the street fair you can’t seat and eat even if you ordered to eat there. They even have a bouncer to tell you to grab your pizza and leave. The pizza was awful!!! Not NY!

Waiting for 45 minutes for a medium pizza? Unbelievable.

Damn. Sure wish i would have read the reviews first. It took FOREVER to get our food. On the bright side, the atmosphere was fun. There is a virtual wall«juke joint» with every kind of music you can purchase using cash or credit card. Music + Drinks = Always a good time. :)

This pizza was delish! Best in Palm Springs! Kudos to those who accomplish eating the XL pie! We had the pepperoni, sausage and mushroom. It was so tasty! Would highly recommend!

I liked my slice! I feel a bit sheepish admitting it as the staff here have clearly ruffled a lot of reviewers’ feathers. Perhaps it’s only the order-taking guy — who, yes, was quite surly — but perhaps that’s the«NY» aspect of the business name? I was impressed with their bread and would absolutely both try them again and refer others to them(though the multiple reports of tardiness are of concern). Am I allowed to say that I prefer the quality of the dough to Bill’s — because I’m going to.

Great pizza, best Gluten Free in Town and great people behind the counter. Love coming here!

Rude and doesn’t deliver during certain times. Hung up on me when I asked to have my pizza delivered. Worst customer service I’ve seen in a LONG time.

Love to get away to palm springs. Love the little spots within walking distance from the downtown hotels. NYPD is definitely a spot I come back to each time for the friendly and good service. Awesome food. Crowd of 50% locals 50% outta-towners… Someone to talk to.

We were still hungry from our horrible experience at dinner, so we decided to get some pizza. Their pizza was hot and the cheese was melted and fell off lol. We were satisfied customers, we got the pepperoni small size.

Phoned in order for pick up and the person(male) was so rude. He made me feel that I was bothering him… If I was not ordering for the gang at work I would have hung up and called some other place. The pizza was decent but definitely not the best… plus i still had a bad taste in my mouth from the terrible customer service. I will not eat here again and don’t recommend it.

EEK! Was wanting some pizza by the slice and friend said have you ever tried his place. I said No, and we went to try it out. So we dropped by for a slice of pizza and the guy who took the order looked as if he’d crawled out from underneath a rock! And… a real unpleasant demeanor. Must of been on a drunk from New Year’s. Had it not been for my buddy, I would of had no idea my order was ready as he plopped it on the counter and said nothing. This is one of those places where the patrons yell and scream at the TV, because whoever their watching must be able to hear them! Save your money.

Don’t order for delivery. Ordered pizza for delivery at 6:22pm. I was told delivery would be between 45 and 60 minutes. It is now 8:22pm and still no delivery. They are not equipped to deliver pizza. Do not order for delivery. God knows what the pie will be like when/if It ever gets here. Over two hours and counting. They are unable to follow through on a service they claim to offer.

I love pizza! I know a good pizza when I eat one. This place is cool I liked having a drink here. The atmosphere is cool, my Type of people. But I didn’t like the pizza. Disappointed. The dough was a little Cardboard-ish. This is nothing like New York. Sorry. I was even buzzed and was not feeling the pizza. But I recommend having a drink here. Nice people

This place had 3 people outside their doors asking for ID: one guy with a security outfit on right next to the door, another guy with a NYPD hat on, and then a random girl. When we started to show our ID, the 2 guys were looking at our ID along with the girl. Why the f do we need to show our ID to 3 people? The guy with the NYPD hat and the girl aren’t even at the front of the pizza place anymore. Multiple people try to look at your ID before you get past the doors. I don’t know if they are nosey or it’s a ploy to look at your driver’s license info. This place is shady. I won’t be surprised if my identity is stolen tomorrow. Pizza is ok, nothing too special. We finished our 2 slices and had to ask where our 16 hot wings were. They forgot about it. It was just sitting in the oven the whole time. We didn’t even feel like eating it anymore. This place gets most of their customers from people drinking next door at a bar type place. So randomly you might get a drunk encounter while you’re eating.

Really? 2 hours to deliver a pizza? F off! On a Sunday, the last day of Pride, you are this unprepared? Go out of business.

Ordered a large pizza with ½ homicide and ½ misdemeanor because homegirl wanted pineapple in our pizza and I wanted veggies. Once we picked up and returned to our place, we saw that there was no pineapple on our pizza. We called to let them know that there was a mistake, and the employee on the phone simply cut me off and said«well you can pick up a cup of pineapple.» «Excuse me? You’re saying to pick up a cup of pineapple chunks?» «Yeah, that’s what’s missing right? You’re claiming we didn’t give you pineapple?» «Yeah, but you’re not serious about picking up a cup of pineapple…» «Okay then.» And the guy hung up promptly. Just shocked. Gave the guy $ 26 for a $ 21 pizza for pick up, and we were treated rudely. I get that it may have been busy, but simply uncalled for.

Not being from the area and it being so hard to order pizza at 10 pm this was our only option. After a few drinks pizza always sounds amazing, well 2 pizza’s, 1 order of wings…1 hr later and $ 45 later we get these small pizza’s that tasted burnt and like cardboard. Luckily I don’t live in the area so I won’t ever have to order from here again, but be warned it sucks. The delivery guy was nice that’s about it.

Three stars for satisfying my hunger after a night out in Palm Springs. The pizza is New York style with crunchy crusts — tastes pretty good when you’re drunk and hungry. I was about to get pizza at Bar a couple doors down, but a local recommended NYPD instead, despite the poor Unilocal rating. I would have given a better rating if they didn’t take so long(I waited more than half an hour for 3 individual slices when the cashier told me it would be 20 minutes), and if they didn’t get my order wrong. I asked for two toppings(Hawaiian — pineapple and ham), and they gave me ham and pepperoni. My drunk self told me it’s ok because they’re both long words that start with«P». Since I waited so long, I just asked them to give me the pineapple on top without putting it back in the oven. They have a bar on the left side and some outdoor tables available. The inside ordering area is very small and not good if you’re claustrophobic. They only had 2 – 3 people working on a Friday night, so maybe that’s why everything took so long. I would venture out and say that delivery service might not be so great here either. Just a note: they only accept card if your minimum is $ 5. Individual slices start at $ 2.50 and you get one topping. Additional toppings are 50 cents. Also, they’re open late!
