I will start by saying we didn’t roll in until 11pm on a Saturday night so our expectations weren’t too high. The nobo sushi appetizer was nothing special. Hubby and I both got pizza. I had the Prosciutto pizza and it was really good. Hubby got the meatball pizza but it was bland. Probably won’t return.

I went with a group and we ordered beer and wine during happy hour. the regular beers were half the price of my Non alcoholic which was $ 6.00 a bottle and barely cold and it took over five more minutes to get a cold glass. the happy hour Sliders were Cold when delivered and 20 minutes passed before they got them picked up. when they got back to us they appeared to have been nuked I happened to discuss this with a person who knows they are behind in paying their suppliers!!!

I came here for a girlfriend’s Bachelorette party in Palm Springs and it was amazing! Their service was spot on and the food was unique and delicious. Our menu was pre-set since we had a large group and it included: crispy coconut tiger shrimp, Thai grilled chicken satay, spicy Korean style skirt steak skewers, Vietnamese spring rolls, and Jack Daniel’s BBQd baby back ribs. Everything was to die for and the spices were fabulous. I also tried the peach sangria and it was YUM! I loved the fresh fruit in it. If you are in the Palm Springs area and looking for a fun place to dine with a group, I would highly recommend The Tropicale. It was PACKED so I would make a reservation if you plan to go!

Mahi mahi– just do it!!! Our experience was a delight. We enjoyed some cocktails and loved the ambiance. The food though was delectable. Tropicale is a must if you are in Palms Springs!

The food was very tasty and it looks nice inside. The seats are a bit close together so you get to hear all your neighbors chisme. This can be good or bad depending on your disposition. The BBQ chicken pizza was great, the beef skewers were almost great but could have been a bit more tender. The calamari is different than your standard style but it was still very good. I took a star away because a glass of wine should not cost $ 11. They have Corona Light on tap so bonus points to them for that.

This is THE place to go in Palm Springs! I’ve been here many times, and the food is always great, the staff is super fun and sweet, and the design is gorgeous. Every time I visit Palm Springs, this is my favorite place to visit(other than the hotel pool, of course.) ;)

My favorite place to eat. Their regular menu is great and they have weekly specials to offer some variety to the usual favorites. The drinks are great also. I recommend everything on the menu but some of my absolute favorites are the Buttermilk Southern Fried Chicken, The Works Pizza, the Lemongrass Mojito, the Lobster Wedge Salad and you must try the Firecracker Shrimp as your app. And the cookies… Omg the cookies. The complimentary bread served with oil and vinegar is some of the best I’ve ever had. They also have a Sushi Sunday menu which is just another added bonus. The staff is always top notch. I don’t know what else you could ask for out of a casual dining experience. Whether you drop in for happy hour and apps or the full course meal, you won’t be disappointed.

Tropicale is one of my favorite restaurants in the Valley. They don’t only have amazing food but also their meat is Organic. They are famous for their fried chicken, mashed patatoes and gravy, and collard greens. Once you try this dish you will see why because it is delicious. Everything on the menu is great and the interior designing screams vintage Palm Springs. I eat there almost every weekend to get my fix. Make sure to make reservations because I’m not the only one that loves their food.

Well, what can I say about Tropicale? You just have to experience it for yourself. This was the second time my wife and I had been here. The first time was probably about two years ago for my birthday and it was about 120 outside. Needless to say, we were able to sit outside this time since it was a beautiful January day. In fact, without the heat, I don’t know how to act! lol When we arrived, we were seated promptly. I had to go use the restroom so my wife took care of ordering drinks. When I arrived back at the table, my wife said she ordered a diet coke for me. As she said that, Mark, our server arrived with my signature Maker’s Mark Manhattan. As we enjoyed our drinks, it was nice to be able to sit outside in Palm Springs and not break a sweat. lol For lunch, I had the Brie Burger. It was cooked perfectly, but not the kind of burger you could pick up and eat. It came with onion rings on the side that were the best. My wife had the Imported Prosciutto and Fontina Cheese pizza. She said the Prosciutto was nice and crisp. It beats those nasty anchovies she like putting on her pizza. lol The décor inside is very old school supper club. Large booths with pastel colors. So if you want a great dining experience, check out the Tropicale.

Cool hip, fun place to be seen scene. At first our group of(gay) ladies were seated in the back corner but NOONE puts bay in the corner! Our friends, who had been there many times before spoke with manager and got us upgraded to a cool table right away. Food and drinks were totally on point. Next time I would dress more appropriately, though. And by that, I mean I would wear a much cuter outfit and more makeup, lol.

We dint wait long to be seated, this place is huge and was packed. Outdoor seating was pretty nice. The butter milk fried chicken was well seasoned and juicy — the best I’ve had. Try the coconut martini.

To start, after being sat I waited about 8 minutes before I saw my server. Obviously I’d decided what I wanted by time she came. Sea Bass is usually an excellent dish, so figured I couldn’t go wrong… bad assumption. After waiting an additional 25 minutes or so, I received my meal on a burning hot plate(usually a sign that it sat in the window for a while before being delivered). I honestly don’t understand how a person messes up the flavor of Sea Bass, but they managed to do so. While it wasn’t horrible, it definitely wasn’t what I was expecting when I ordered it. After a mediocre meal, I requested my check, and waited another 10 minutes or so. Maybe it was a bad night for the restaurant, or maybe I’m overly critical since I used to wait tables, either way, I won’t waste money here again.

ORDERTHIS: buttermilk fried chicken and cioppino del mare The buttermilk fried chicken was really something. I know it’s a favorite on Unilocal but I was still skeptical, especially with so many other incredible choices on the menu. But I’m definitely glad to have ordered it. The chicken was perfectly crispy and tender inside, served atop a bed of mashed potatoes. The cioppino del mare was off their special menu and very worth the 32 dollars for the huge bowl! The lobster broth was delicious. There were a handful of clams and two of everything else — alaskan cod(incredible!), scallops(also incredible!) and shrimp(a little less incredible but still pretty incredible). Overall it was pretty — you guessed it! — incredible. This restaurant/bar was packed when we went there. We chose a table outside which brought the noise level down for a nice dinner out. The service was great especially as my boyfriend and I were dining with his parents who are regulars of the place. Multiple servers came over to say hi, which was very thoughtful and says a lot about the place!

The Tropicale is a lovely restaurant. As soon as you walk in, the ambience and lighting really set the mood and tone. It has a great patio area where we ended up dining. Our server, Laura was amazing and really knowledgable about the menu and offered great suggestions. She also told us that 98% of all the food was made in house and they use hormone free, organic ingredients. She was so sweet and took really good care of us. We ate the crab cakes which I loved because it was a large cake which consisted of big chunks of crab meat and easy breading so you really got to taste the sweet crab meet. It was paired with a delicious sauce and arugula salad. Next was the fried goat cheese, beet, and butter lettuce salad with delicious candied walnuts and tangerines. The appetizer portion was perfect to share. For the main course we had Hawaiian pork chops with sticky rice and a mole sauce. It was 14 oz and more than enough to share. The meat was juicy and paired really well with the sauce and rice. Their menu changes seasonally so this dish probably won’t be there for much longer. Lastly, we ended with some puffed pastry ice cream and sprinkles and a cup of their STRONG organic coffee. A perfect way to end the night. We will def be back!

Happy hour every day 4 – 7, and on Wednesdays until closing. We absolutely love this place and enjoy the outside patio with the outside patio bar. We have met so many nice people around the outside bar area. Their cocktails are so sophisticated and they carry good Belgian beers. The presentation of the food is always appetizing and the food has never disappointed us. We get a kick out of all the servers who genuinely are having a good time while they’re working and have a great Sense of humor. Now I have a sweet tooth so, don’t even order the homemade cookies if I’m nearby. Located right across the street from the post office right next door to the Copa. Love to come hang out here on a Sunday afternoon because the atmosphere is very relaxing. Great Bloody Marys too.

Not sure what the hype is about this place as the food was very mediocre. Seems to be a place for older folks(saw a lot of seniors here), though the place is quite loud and really crowded. We had reservations but came 30 minutes late, so our table had already been given away, but we were still seated immediately at small table in the bar area. Place reminded me of a flashback from the 80s(but in a good way) — décor is old style. We ordered: –Fried Ahi Roll — The roll had basically no ahi in the end cut pieces — only in the middle. :( –Bacon Crab Cake — This sounded delicious but was way too salty. We should have returned it, but we stuck with it. Every bit got saltier and saltier, so we couldn’t finish it. It’s a large crab cake, though, with some tasty greens on top. Bacon is cut into pieces and cooked into the crab cake. –Wagyu Steak($ 29) — This was very tender and came with collared greens. Good dish — better than the other two for sure. Came with a couple of different sauces that were good. We also had two drinks each. I had the Basil & Orange Martini, which I didn’t like too much. I thought it would be a little sweeter, I guess. I also got the Passionfruit Martini, but strangely enough, it did not taste like Passionfruit. Drinks are about $ 12 each. The bill was over $ 100 for two, which was more on the expensive side considering the food. Service was good, though.
