I have been here over a dozen times to pick-up pizzas through orders that I put over the phone and I must say they have the best pizza I’ve ever had! I’ve never once had an issue of them messing up an order or having to wait to pick up my pizza from the estimated time they give me on the phone. Great customer service and great location! Highly recommended! We always go for the half Buffalo Chicken and half Brick Oven Special — yummy!

A big fan of thin pizza ever since traveling to Italy and Southern Switzerland… This by no means makes me an expert on pizza. But it does give me an appreciation for how thin slices pizza can be executed to taste great. Okay, on with the review… It’s fast food like décor on the inside with paper plates and plastic utensils — except that our salad came on a real plate… Go figure… The pizza — we ordered half Manhattan and half chicken pesto… Um it wasn’t all that great… Wasn’t bad but wasn’t great m… Just okay…

When you crave delicious New York style pizza, go East… East Pasadena that is. This place is what you expect. The pies are laid out in front. You choose your slices and they pop them in the oven a few minutes. Pepperoni, mushroom, brick oven, and sausage are great choices. The pastrami slice went over my head. I didn’t get it. It was you salty for my taste. Also has a great selection of beers on tap and bottles. The place is a little messy at times. But hey, that’s the New York attitude. Foggedaboutit.

Fine dining? With paper plates and plastic forks? Italian food was done with a homemade emphasis and was very good. There motto should be good Italian food in a casual setting

On a hunt for pizza to quiet four hungry toddlers we stumbled here with no expectations. And yet we left with satisfied tummies and already a craving to come back. Their pizza is NY style which means the crust is thin and the slices are BIG. We went the single slice route and tried a variety of their house combos. Our least favorite was the margarita variety, but their meat combos left is wanting another slice to try and stuff inside. The pastas are share worthy and include their addictive garlic knots. Favorites: — Garlic Knots — Meat combo pizzas. Will be back soon.

Wow… Beat Italian food I ever had and totally agree with their saying of «good quality with casual prices». We ordered the Manhattan and BBQ chicken. It was the best pizza I ever had. I’m in love with the BBQ chicken. Comes in large portions, u can have them cut it in smaller slices. We also had the ravioli and wow it was amazing. Casual sitting and small tables; outside setting is alot nicer than inside

This is seriously the best pizza in Southern California. I recommend the Mamma’s special pizza and the meatballs appetizer. You can also order slices; they are huge and very easy coast. Delivery is also very efficient. If you are ever in Pasadena, this is the spot. They offer gluten free crust as well.

12÷14÷15 Monday night I usually order a pizza and watch The Voice so I called and they already knew my address which was awesome and they offer more than just pizza. The girl who answered was patient although busy and she was kind enough to tell me the various sandwiches. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan sandwich, spaghetti marinara., garlic bread(because last time garlic knots were too soggy and uncooked in the center and I had ordered a lot if them), and a salad. Totally was $ 20.05 and she said it would take 45 minutes. Order came in time. Nice driver. And food was delicious!!! Omg thank God for Mammas Brick Oven Pizza I would be forced to suffer from a boring selection of pizza choices in my neighborhood if it weren’t for this food haven!!! Definitely ordering from them next Monday !!! My baby loved their spaghetti marinara and I loved the eggplant Parmesan !!! I was so full the salad is still in my fridge !!! Healthy portions too!!! Thank God they don’t skimp!!! Great job guys!!! From one Happy customer ! Prior review: Okay I would’ve given this place 4 stars because their garlic knots were undercooked although the pizza was delicious I ordered a medium size half pastrami half barbecue chicken pizza it was yummy and a very good size I usually love the garlic knots but they were under cooked & very doughy. But the reason I’m giving this place five stars is because they have excellent customer service and a very nice delivery guy named Joshua who was willing to wait for me while I looked for my lost credit card. Whoever took my order was extremely nice and friendly and I was so happy when he said they would deliver to my house as a busy single mom with a toddler it’s very hard to go out and drive to get a quality pizza I hate having to choose from just dominoes or Pizza Hut so I was so happy to hear that this place delivers to my address So five stars for good food and great customer service including their delivery drivers that makes a huge difference! Thank you for feeding me and my baby boy!

12÷06÷156:10 pm South Pasadena location I just call, and this lady she ask me if she can put me on hold, I told her okay is fine. But she hang up on me, so I’m calling back and she ask me the same thing, so I told her is ok but you need to know that I calll and you ask me to hold, and you hang up on me, are you sure that will not happen again? well she didn’t even apologizes she just keep ignoring me and say I put you on hold, and just repeating the same thing, she don’t show interest to the client. Ok this was my first time trying this place, you lose a client Mama’s sorry

A solid four stars for friendly staff, quick service, and very good pizza. This is my go place to for an affordable night of chesse-y decadence. When you’re craving junk food I strongly recommend the margherita pizza. It’s amazing once you get it home and really crisp the bottom on a griddle or large pan. That’s my only gripe; they never make the crust crispy enough.

The pizza is too thin. If you get 2 slices it will cost you $ 7.80 Somewhat long lines. Could be 10 – 15 minutes before you get your food. They do have some outdoor seating.

You should come here if you like your pasta swimming in a plate of tomato-y water. Bland pasta. Chunks of tomatoes in a watery sauce. Disappointing. Maybe the pizza is better. Pasta, sauce, and meatballs were clearly all pre-cooked because our food came out in 2 – 3 minutes. Do I want to take the rest home? No, I want to blast it out of cannon as far away from me as I can. I’ll never come back again. Bring a snorkel so you can dig into the watery pasta. Try not to drown. Watch as your meatball develops wrinkles from sitting in this gross red pink water all day. The employees were really nice though. Bye.

The Rosemead location sucks. Never coming here again. Bland pasta. They messed up an order so bad that they gave a refund and promised free food to come out– which never came. Staff needs to get their shit together. We gave them a chance to fix it by complaining so it’s not like they were unaware. South Pasadena location is far superior.

OMG biggest pizza ever! I feel like this would be a pizza on an episode of Man vs Food and man would definitely lose! We ordered food from here on Halloween, which is apparently their most busy night of the year. My sister called around 5 and they said delivery would take over an hour, so we placed an order for pick up. They said it’d take about 30 minutes but when I got there they said it’d be another 10 minutes. 15 minutes later they brought out this ginormous pizza and the guy helped me put it in my car. It was too big to fit in the back seat so we put it in the trunk. Pizza was not only big but delicious. We also ordered a large for the kids, but totally could have shared the mega on its own. Also got wings and a salad. Overall a good place with good(huge) pizza! Be prepared to wait on Halloween or special occasions.

Second location of MaMa’s pizza. Prob as New York that you will get in the San Gabriel valley. Great crust and sauce. A great pie! And they also sell by the slice all their different pizzas so it makes it also a great snack or lunch place! The service here and at their south Pasadena location is always super friendly paisano family style service. They are quick casual which keep the prices low and an easy casual meal especially for families with little ones. Order at the counter then get your own drink and they bring your food to you. Super fast as they are always well staffed. They have their bread knots which are really good(I think the chain papa johns copied them!). All their pizzas are really good and thin crust. The shrimp scampi was a great pleasant surprise and for under $ 14! You can’t beat that! Plenty of pastas to also choose from. Go in hungry as the portions are generous as is their friendly service. P We have also catered from them with their super large party pizza which are the best deal in town for parties and events. I hope they continue to expand. I only wish that they pumped some funky Italian music onto their patio to help cover the noise of Rosemead blvd. but all good here still. plus plenty of beer, appetizers and wings to go along with the meal.

After a great vacation on Carnival cruises and amazing food on and off the ship. My wife and I were craving for pizza, I told my wife«I’m tired of eating pizza in our area and let’s try a different pizzeria in a different location.» I looked at my Unilocal to see what pizzeria there was in Pasadena. Unilocal recommended Mama’s Brick oven pizza and pasta in Pasadena. My wife and I got in our” little red«aka our Red Ford Focus. And headed to Mama’s Brick oven pizza and pasta. When we arrive to the restaurant it was barely empty but we can smell the pizza cooking in their ovens. We didn’t what to order or any special but cashier refer their lunch deal, she say purchase two slice of pizza and receive a free medium size drink. We decided to order two special one for me and the other one for my wife and also we order knots and salad. We got two slice of pizza each, we pick our style of topping in our pizza. First the pizza is amazing it feel like, you eating a slice of pizza in New York. My wife and I enjoy our pizza. The salad is good and knot comes with marinara sauce really good. Overall we enjoy the pizza at Mama’s pizza. We will go back again. I recommend Mama’s pizza to my family and friends and including my Unilocal friends.

I was in the area and craving pizza so Unilocal lead me here. It looks like the restaurant is in an renovated fast food building. It’s New York style pizza so expect thin crust. I went with my S.O. and we tried a slice of the white, buffalo chicken, and the brick oven. We also got an order of the garlic knots served with marinara sauce. I wasn’t expecting much from the garlic knots despite the rave reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. They were very good. When the white is described as having sweetened ricotta, they aren’t lying. I definitely tasted the sweetness but I liked it with red chili flakes. The buffalo chicken was ok. I feel like they may use frozen buffalo chicken for the topping but I can’t be certain. My S.O. had the brick oven slice and he said it was decent. Our order came out to be around ~$ 14. The slices of pizza range from $ 3.25-$ 3.50 and the 6 piece of garlic knots were $ 1.75 I liked the thin crust it had the right chewiness but as far as authentic NY pizza I can’t say. It was good though.

3.5 stars for now. Stopped by here with a friend for dinner after running 5K. I just had pizza for lunch the same day so I wasn’t gonna eat pizza a second time. So I decided to get a calzone instead…(essentially a rolled up pizza –_-). The BBQ Chicken calzone was good, quite large for only $ 7.99. It also comes with a side of marinara sauce to dip with. Might be a good place to stop for lunch. They have individual slices of pizza at the front counter that you can order and they’ll heat them up right then for you. Buy 2 slices of pizza and get a free drink(only lunchtime, I believe). Next time I’ll try the pizza or pasta and the garlic knots. Decently sized lot on the premises; I’ve never seen it get full so I don’t think parking is a problem here.
