I or! ered The Works large pizza on thick bread, a cheese calzone and soda through Eat24 last night. I could tell the ingredients of the pizza were good quality. However, an annoying thing was the toppings kept sliding off the dough as if they didnt put enough cheese or the dough was underbaked. The tomato chunks/paste was gross. The other toppings and seasoning on the pizza was tasty, just not the best execution. I’ll just say the calzone was definitely not up to par. Minimal cheese, the tomato chunks/paste here was also unappetizing and the dough was not fully baked. Just felt like I was eating a glob of lukewarm bread and tomato. All in all I definitely dont think this was worth $ 36. Mostly good toppings but bad execution and overpriced food. They get a 3 in my book for accepting PayPal and fast delivery, otherwise this would be a 2 lolz.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Numero Uno tonight. Most of the franchises near us have closed, but we found ourselves out and about in Pasadena at dinner time and dropped in. The service at this location was awesome. The happy hour specials went to 8p.m. We didn’t have pizza tonight, just salads and Romano bread puffs with some beers. It was just right. I would go four stars for food, but with the happy hour discounts and friendly staff, five stars it is.

First time here and already getting treated like family. Restaurant is very clean and service is awesome. Happy hour is great too ! The manager Bernardo even hooked us with garlic balls to try ! There thick dough pizza is the specialty so make sure to try it !

Officially my favorite pizza in Pasadena! Born and raised here I’ve tried all the pizza spots(mi piaci, blaze, domenicos, etc) and nothing beats the thick crust, fresh ingredients and sweetness of this pizza. It is more expensive than most pizza places but it’s worth it– the crust is so thick each slice is equivalent to two slices somewhere else. The staff are overall friendly and delivery usually comes relatively hot. Número Uno!

My first Chicago Deep Dish Experience. We ordered a supreme with garlic. The bottom of the dough is nice and crispy. The dough is airy and light, and the toppings taste fresh. The crushed red pepper is flavorful. The garlic flavor is subtle, and the crust is a bit on the thick side, but the flavor of the crust isn’t bad. We also ordered the pizza bread. It’s French Bread topped with a smear of pizza sauce, and topped with dollops of melted mozzarella. It is more pizza like than garlic bread or other bread of that nature. Overall, the food was good, the prices aren’t extravagant. A one topping is only $ 8.99 but the supreme was $ 16ish, so the prices are comparable to Papa John’s, which I don’t think has nearly the same quality or experience attached to it. I will be back.

So yesterday night I placed a phone order for pick up right before closing. I walked in and notice an employee standing at the front desk with her head down trying to run a credit card. With no one else there I waited but after 10 min, she never looked up or said anything. A family of three walk in behind me she asked them if they were dinning in or picking up now mind you I’m right in here face and still nothing. Finally she finishes the payment and gets my order. Not one time thank you for waiting it was here bye attitude. Love the pizza but I won’t be ordering on the night shift any more. When I come in the day the young man who helps me is great I have even left him a tip on a pick up order. If you don’t like your job or people of all colors quit.

Delicious! I think what really sets this place apart from other pizza places is the thick, deep dish crust that is just the right softness and slightly sweet. The pizza didn’t come out piping/steaming hot, but I didn’t mind it. I liked how the toppings you pick go in the middle of the pizza, above the sauce but under the cheese. My boyfriend and I got a medium pepperoni pizza and a pink sauce penne pasta. The pasta was delicious too; I finished every bite. The pink sauce was better than the last place that I tried, which was at Carmine’s restaurant. The employees are very friendly and were very attentive, asking multiple times if we needed anything(before they became really busy). The inside décor and seating is a little outdated, but the food and service definitely made up for it. I would definitely come back again.

I love love this pizza place but you have to eat the pizza right then and there to appreciate how good it is otherwise if you take it home two hours away your pizza would not be as good and neither is the anti pasta salad which is no fault of the restaurant I usually ordered the work thick crust with anchovies and garlic Their pizza is different, the crust is crunchy yet soft and sweet, haven’t found a pizza place near me that can duplicate that. Topping was just right This isn’t the place if you are watching carb and don’t like bread Over all I do crave for their pizza and I find every excuses to go and get one when ever I am in Pasadena and I would recommend eat it there and just take left over home otherwise the pizza wouldn’t be good and you need to heat it up in the oven to get it crunchy but however it’s still will not be the same as eating it fresh right out of the oven

Wow! Got delivery thin crust pepperoni and sausage pizza and it was so crispy and yummy! I’m visiting Pasadena but moving to Van Nuys and I’ll drive over just for this pizza. Also got a Caesar Salad and garlic knots and they were good too!

Bernardo was super nice. Quick stop in for a takeout order. Medium pepperoni with tomatoes and it was about $ 13. I love Numero Uno to this day, over 20 yrs later. It’s a childhood favorite. Never grew up on a major chain pizza joint. Numero Uno pizza dough is definitely unique and delicious. Limited locations these days as OC’s El Toro location closed years ago as did the Lake location, I learned. This one is a familiar spot and easy to find off the 210 freeway between Rosemead and Madre exits on Foothill Blvd. Just next to a Del Taco. Décor hasn’t changed much. Clean and bright. Friendly staff.

If you ever want to leave a restaurant feeling like 300 lb cause you can’t stop stuffing your face this is the place. Looks like your average everyday pizza spot. Wings are perfectly deep fried, pizza is so thick with real tomato and their balls are to die for, literally you’ll have a hard attack with all the butter. You only live once and if you live like me once is enough.

I went here for lunch the other day with a friend of mine and I will not be going back. This review is for the pastas. I don’t know how the pizza is. I got Penne past with marinara and a side of Italian sausage and meatballs. Not good at all. The marinara sauce was horrible. It was like tomato paste. No flavor at all. The sausage was no good either. The meatballs were ok at best. They were not tender at all and the flavor was ok. Honestly the best thing I had was the side salad with Italian dressing. Woohoo! I thought I would try this place because the guy that used to own it actually owns Ecco’s pizza in long beach. Ecco’s pasta is very good. I guess the new owner changed the recipes… for the worst

Searching for good pizza in Pasadena, sad to say this was not it. We ordered out and the clerk was great very good customer service and that is why this is a three and not a two. Pizza was Blah! The dough was not cooked enough and it had to much of a yeast flavor for my taste. Sauce was like pizza sauce from a can. Dough Balls too greasy! It’s really hard to go by some peoples views because everyone has different taste.

Excellent service, but not so great pizza. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3 since Unilocal doesn’t allow half-star ratings. Pros: + Service was friendly and attentive. Our drinks were never empty. + The dining room was very clean, although they need to change the blueish LED lights over the tables to a warmer color. The table light was far too«operating room» for my taste. + Prices are fair. + Bathrooms were clean. Cons: — The dough tasted all too sweet and like it had been prepared in advance. Also, the sauce was too sweet. — The meatball pieces(a topping option) had way too much anise and tasted more like sausage. — The deep dish pizza seemed a little undercooked. The crust was pale, and the toppings didn’t seem cooked all the way. The service was good, but there are better options. I will probably not be back.

Gave Numero Uno a chance because they had a Groupon Deal. Parking lot is small. Restaurant is pretty big. Service was quick and friendly, but we were the only people eating inside. Romano Bread Puffs — $ 5.95 — Puffs were dry on the outside and doughy on the inside. I do not think they were fried correctly. Sat in olive oil and coated with parmesan cheese. Inferno Chicken Wings — $ 7.95 — Holy hot hell! These were some of the spiciest wings I have had anywhere. I got the breaded wings and I liked the seasonings. I could only do 3 wings and was dying after. SUPERSPICY! Large Thick Crust Pizza, Half Works and Half Hawaiian — $ 19.95 — The works has your typical supreme pizza ingredients. Hawaiian has Canadian Bacon and tomatoes. Toppings all tasted like you would expect. I was expecting a more deep dish style pizza but it was more like a pizza you would get a Dominoes. The highlights was the crispy dough and gooey cheese, Decent pizza for the price of the Groupon.

Place is so nearby work had to stop in and try. Ordered a pepperoni, mushroom calzone. Didn’t expect much for $ 6 something. It’s 7 inches of mostly cheese which I like. Could have used a little more sauce but otherwise I was pleased. Place is never busy. Guess they get mostly take out or delivery. Minimal parking. Not much else to say.
