The manager was very rude. Food wasn’t prepared correctly definitely will not be coming back.

I’ve been to the café twice for dinner. the first time it took almost a half hour to get my steak dinner. the meat was chewy, had to spit out most of it out. the potatoes had gravy on them which I didn’t order. the owner came to my table and talked on and on and on. the other night I went in to support the guy and his café. it’s always empty. evidently the last customers had done something that made the owner angry. again he went on and on and on about them to the other customers. not professional. I had the turkey jack sandwich and a salad. the sandwich was the worst I’ve ever eaten. a small blob of cheese in the middle, limpy bacon, a tiny peace of avocado. it was so salty I could barely eat it. the salad was cut into huge strips and difficult to eat. I took home the sandwich and fed the meat to our feral cats. when I called to give them some constructive criticism the man wouldn’t let me finish what I was saying and then started asking me if I had a God in my life or if I believed in Ala and he would pray for me… seriously?

You would think that this would be a great location. If I were to put a restaurant somewhere, I’d think this would be the place. But for some reason no matter how good the menu is and this one is extensive, they seem to fail. I am hoping that this one makes it and stays around for a while. I have come a few times and really feel that the food is good and the atmosphere is better than a lot of places. I think that it would be a great place to come around dusk in the summer when the temp is just right to sit outside for dinner. You’ve got to try the clam chowder there! It is not the kind with minced clams, but actually real fresh ones in almost every bite! Like I said, really good food so I really hope they make it. I really liked the guy who either owns or manages it or just talks like he has some stake in the place. But I don’t know if he should be as open with his opinions. We were talking about Unilocal and he was very angry with someone. It just made me uncomfortable and was very inappropriate to be discussing a customer with another customer if you know what I mean. But at the risk of making him angry again, hopefully this review will help him tone it down a little. The last few times that we have gone there, one with my in-laws and one with another couple and one for lunch with my hubby, there has been someone that has waited on us that as I said I liked and really couldn’t put my finger on exactly what it is about him, but could probably rub others the wrong way. I am not sure that he gets that people are going out for dinner to be with each other and it is almost like he pulls up a chair to join you without actually doing it. You know what I mean? If you’ve ever wanted to say okay buddy too much information, we didn’t come here to just talk about your restaurant… we’ve kind of felt like that here. But the food is good and the service is actually great so we keep coming back. And hopefully this little place on the corner will make it. Because I do recommend it.

My food was so bad I could not eat it. I had fish & chips the fish was mushy & very grease. I will never go there again!

Stopped in here on our way thru town. We were pleasantly surprised. The salads are tasty and fresh. The Alfredo pastas were good. We had the shrimp Alfredo and the tri-tip alfredo. Huge portions. Good flavor. The service was very nice and attentive.

So my husband & I have been coming here once a week since they opened & I would consider us regulars. We’ve never had any issues… UNTILTODAY! Where do I begin… we showed up at 11:35am & sat at the bar like we always do. It took almost 10 mins to get acknowledged & when the waitress came over handed us menus, we had to mention we wanted waters. Then at 11:45 we ordered our food which was a cheeseburger with everything on the side & fries, my husband ordered the apple sausage & eggs, no toast. So then a guy walks in sits at bar, another guy walks in & sits behind us at a table. The guy at the table is asked what he wants to drink first & if he’s ready to order before the guy at the bar. Then the waitress asks the guy at the bar if he’s ready. He orders a salad & chicken fried steak sandwich. Mind you we STILLDON’T HAVEOURFOOD… And its now 12:20pm, SO35MINUTESLATER, THEN… the guy at the bar gets his salad and sandwich! WTF… AREYOUSERIOUSRIGHTNOW! is exactly what we were thinking!!! SO when we ask the manager where’s OUR food, he tells us, «your hash browns take longer to cook then his chicken fried steak.» AGAIN. WTF!!! we had been there 50 minutes and NOFOOD! So we got up from the bar ANDLEFT!!! NEVERTORETURN!

Good service. Good food, but limited menu; all the pasta is w Alfredo sauce, for example.

Great food and service for an even better price. I got a chicken sandwich and it came with a BIG salad. My boyfriend got a burger and he really liked it. I just wish it was grass fed. They said that they might have a grass fed option soon. Nice ambiance. Everything is neat and new perfect for a lunch date. They serve good local wine as well. Highly recommend this place.

Good sized breakfast, husband had the Mediterranean Omelet, said it us really good. I had the ham and cheese, good. 2 yr old had French toast and loved it, couldn’t stop eating it! The hashbrowns were bland but alot of salt and pepper helped. Buiscuits and Gravy bland also but overall good. Good service, a little pricey but worth it, lots of food. Would come again, I’ll try for dinner. They are certainly trying hard to please. Please come and try them!

First time in as this incarnation. We were promptly greeted and seated. There were only a few tables occupied. He ordered a regular burger with fries and asked for it dry with mayo and bbq on the side. I ordered the ranch burger with a salad(I was very pleased to have an option to something fried) we both drank water. The food came in a reasonable time frame. They did get our burgers mixed up in the kitchen but we sorted it out. They also forgot his side of may and bbq saice, but we’re quick to fix that. My salad was good. My only issue was the leave were either cut into long strips or seemingly not at all making eating it less than a dainty affair. The burgers were ok, perhaps a hair over cooked, but still tasty. All in all our waiter was nice and worked at fixing the few hiccups we had. The food was edible. we will come again though.

So been here a few times, and have not been disappointed. The burgers are AWESOME! Juicy flavorful and absolutely delicious! And the onion rings are light crispy and perfect. The way they should be. Just had the chicken fried steak and could eat it with a fork. Tender, moist and perfect! Mashed potatoes are homemade better than Mom’s! Have had their omelet for breakfast. Best omelet I have had in a long time! Next time will have the fettuccine as its made to order and have good reviews from it. Great beer selection. Love the Black Bavarian beer. Flavorful but easy drinking. If you haven’t been in, you need to get in before the secrets out.

Our service was fine. My wife loved her salmon sandwich and her side salad was big enough all on its own. Biggest side salad I have seen served with a sandwich. The salmon on the French roll was huge and cooked well. My chili burger and fries was good and the best way to describe it is it was like something you would get at a dinner. Nothing fancy. I will try something different next time. The thing that stood out the most was the reasonable prices for lunch. Each dish was $ 10.50. Not much more money than fast food but much better. Great price for what we had. We will try again. Hope this place can stick around. It’s worth it.

Dave was our server and he seemed really eager to work hard. The clam chowder was amazing! Super chunky, I ate it with a fork. Even my son loved it(he stole my spoon) .I had a Ruben sandwich that was amazing. Hunt had tri tip and was empresses. Kids had pasta and a burger. The kids burger was freaking amazing and juicy! Overall great experience, even tho we had to leave early due to a meltdown. The beer selection was good too! We will be back.

This restaurant has the misfortune of being in one of those seemingly jinxed locations where no on can make a very long run of it: Italian, BBQ, and Mediterranean all came and went pretty fast. Having someone succeed here would be nice because of the relative lack of good restaurants east of the 101. Unfortunately Paniny isn’t getting off to a strong start. We went in about 7:00. The place was about half full but had a strangely dead feel to it. We looked at the menu before sitting. The selection was a bit odd but we decided to try it. Eclectic selections are fantastic, but this one just doesn’t seem to piece together — pasta, Indian, burgers, traditional beef and chicken entrees, teriyaki chicken, and salads. Well, maybe they do variety well? Doesn’t seem that way. As a big fan of chicken curry, I had high hopes but was disappointed. Tasted a bit like what curry would taste like served in a high school cafeteria. It was definitely on the bland side. And Indian food is served with French bread? Would ordering a bit of naan to serve with the Indian menu be too much? My son had a burger. The boy loves burgers, almost all burgers. He finished his but it took a bit of effort and he wasn’t impressed. I didn’t sample from the drink menu but the selection looked pretty good. The service was acceptable but not enough to overcome the lack of atmosphere and mediocre food. Unless others go and the place seems to be improving this place is probably a one timer for me.

Walked in no one greeted us. Sat down and ordered. I got the turkey jack. which was missing bacon. Not to mention the avacado wasnt even ripe. Hard as a rock. Other than that it was decent food. The only thing that really peeved me was none of the staff knows about any of the beers. Everything is a «lager»

I don’t often write reviews but I feel compelled to after our meal tonight. Let me start by saying I’m giving this restaurant 5 stars for their exceptional service and patience in the face of some incredibly difficult customers. Our food was very good, we had the blue cheese burger, a kids burger and the steak teriyaki stir fry. We enjoyed everything and are excited to go try more from the menu. What really put a damper on the meal was the incredibly obnoxious people at the table next to us. They started off by switching tables because they were too cold and whining about the fans overhead, the waitress assisted by turning off the fans for them. Next came their appetizers, apparently they were shocked by the fact that the hot wings were spicy! Who would have thought? One of the women ordered a Caesar side salad with her meal, apparently there was a miscommunication with the waitress who thought she wanted Caesar dressing on the side salad and not a «Caesar salad as a side» which I’m pretty sure wasn’t actually an offered option. When they complained the waitress apologized and had the kitchen make her up the salad she wanted. When their entrees came apparently the fettuccine wasn’t sufficiently garlicky enough for them and the boys burger was accidentally sent without grilled onions. They of course sent the plates back and this time decided they didn’t want the kitchen to remake the meals. The waitress brought them a bill removing the unwanted items and charging only for the side salads that they consumed. Apparently this was not enough for them and they spent the next 15 minutes attempting to school the waitress on the particulars of how a Caesar salad should be made and how they shouldn’t be charged for the items that they did eat because they would have been included with the entrees. Then they giggled as their boy ran around the restaurant erasing the specials board. Through all of this the waitress calmly and patiently listened and did everything she possibly could to placate the diners who were obviously just out to get a free meal. Props to the staff at this restaurant, we were very impressed by them plan on visiting again soon.

Everything is home made. The chicken noodle soup is awesome as we as the clam chowder. Chicken curry was outstanding as well as the beef kabobs. We need to fill this place so they stay. We’ll come again soon. Decent beer and wine list.

I went there for lunch today and had the special which was a Sirloin Steak Sandwich. The sandwich was very good. Grilled to perfection. The place was very clean and organized. There was a full bar if you wanted a cocktail, wine or beer. Charlie the waitress took good care of us and kept our water glass filled. They serve Lunch and Dinner weekdays. They serve Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday only.

The food here was very good. Lots of variety to choose from. I had the T-bone and it was delicious. I had the chocolate cake for dessert it was awesome. The prices are not bad. I will definitely eat there again
