Disappointing visit. Place wasn’t as big as expected. website made it seem big and very happening place. It was just any other bar that served food, but just happened to brew their own beer. Food(burger) happened to be very good, but that was it. The staff was kind of odd. Not very passionate about their jobs. just picking up a paycheck. Place wasn’t that crowded on Fathers Day, a Sunday at about 8:00p. After being seated it took forever for a waiter to come over to table to take orders or even acknowledge we were there. Place was almost empty. While waiting all this time for service, I decided to go to the bar and select my draft beer, which was the main reason I went there… for the beer. Bartender was a nice guy but wasnt very knowledgeable about the beers. They had about 10 taps of their own beer. great, was looking forward to having an ice cold Brickhouse brew. I tasted about three, trying for either a Belgian white, or a simple lager. I tried three and they were just terrible. not that cold and all with very odd tastes. Told the bartender I didn’t care for any of them, and he said they were having trouble with their tap system, whatever that meant. So I just ordered a Corona. We ate our meals, which were pretty good, paid the bill, and left. We left there saying«what the heck was that all about. we drove all the way to Patchogue to come here?». Brickhouse was nothing special at all. food was pretty good, staff/service should have been much better, but we were there for the beer, and that was a complete disaster. Would never return.

Visited family, wanted a good burger in Patchogue. Terrible service, food barely passable. $ 5.00 cover charge to walk into a bar? Maybe if the owners weren’t soused they’d pay more attention. If you want a good burger & good service go to Reeses 1900 right around the corner.

Unless you are receiving a complimentary meal, the service is an insult… even then, it’s highly questionable. Upon arrival, my party was seated in a dining room that – for the majority of our stay – was not more than 70⁄75 percent full, and the place did not seem understaffed. Such a lovely people-viewing experience I had here as I watched manifold servers apologizing to the numerous guests whose orders were lacking. In fact, I even had the opportunity to watch patrons, patrons who had arrived well after we did, consuming food, well before our cuisine arrived at the table. Our drinks finally arrived after 20 minutes, and the order was incomplete – the water was missing. Once a marathon of time had elapsed after our appetizer, we suspected our lunch order had been forgotten. After questioning our server, the food arrived – eventually. Whether the order was whipped together in that time period or had lain in the kitchen cooling down is unclear to me. The cuisine is not even good. It is simply flavorless. Sorry, Brickhouse, but you can’t just throw some bacon and creative cocktails on the menu and transmute into a sophisticated eatery. The hot wings were not hot. In fact, the sauce was a bit creamy, and fast food burgers taste better. We were offered complimentary beverages to compensate for the tardiness, and shortly after ordering, we learned the bartender was running behind. I ate my meal without any drink at all – no bar beverage and no refilled water. Brickhouse, I shan’t see you again.

I don’t live around the corner but was in the area for another activity and this was recommended by a co-worker. The place was BEYOND packed with groups of 15 and 10 and like 12 – staff was definitely running around and while the kitchen was definitely in the weeds(who expected that on a Sunday afternoon?) But the staff was attentive and the food was mostly good(pulled pork, yes; ribs were fatty but the mac and cheese was BEYONE delicious – will order that again. I agree that the music was too loud. Dive bar definitely not though. Maybe there was a party upstairs but not sure why they hadn’t opened it up for more seating. Small kids menu – but mine will order an appetizer for their meal and that had nice options

I really wish I could have a 3.5 star option for this establishment. I’ve never had the food here so I cannot comment on that. However, from a bar standpoint its pretty solid. The demographic is a little older, probably because there is a cover, and they usually always have some form of live entertainment that is decent. The cover is my main deterrent from wanting to meet up with friends here, even though it keeps the atmosphere much more chill and not as loud as the other bars on main street. Overall its not a go to place for me, but its definitely worth checking out especially if a band you really like is playing there!

Yum! This place has delicious food, and great beer. Also, helpful staff.(I brought my two grandparents who have walkers and they couldn’t have been more helpful in assisting them to their seats and making sure they were comfortable. When I went there was music from a band and it was loud, but not overwhelming. The band was good too. Everything we got to eat was delicious and good sized portions because I took home leftovers. Prices were good, especially considering I got 2 meals out of one dinner! Definitely check this place out if you are in the area.

Brickhouse has really improved over the last few years, the menu has gotten smaller, but the food is much, much better because of it. And the new brewmaster that they brought in has completely turned around the beer here. It’s really good, and there is always something new coming out. The only real complaint is that the music is really, really loud whenever there is a band playing, its really hard to have a conversation whenever the band is playing. Other than that its a great place to hang out and have a drink.

This place is OK. It’s pretty small and there isn’t an overabundance of seating. Came on 2 different nights. The first was a weeknight with some friends for dinner. The food was mediocre. We had the nachos as an appetizer and they weren’t good at all. I had the Swiss Dip sandwich for dinner with sweet potato fries, and it was pretty tasty. The prices were average. The beer they brew was pretty good… very stong, but thats how I like it. The second time I came was on a busy Saturday night. The place was filled. There were no places to sit at or near the bar. They charged a $ 5 cover fee to enter. It attracts an older demographic. Overall this place is clean and the food and drinks are ok. I would consider comming back to try it again.

Went here for an office holiday party and we got the private room upstairs. Downstairs they had a live band and it sounded like it was a fun place to hang out on the weekend. Our food was buffet style it was okay not amazing. The beers they make are very good! I had the stout which tasted like chocolate and coffee and was delicious. The bartenders were very nice and attentive. One of them remembered what my boyfriend ordered, made his drink, and went and found him in the crowded room when his drink was empty! I would definitely come back here one night with some friends and hang out while listening to live music.

Happy to say the Brickhouse is back to what it used to be. They kept some of the new menu items but also bought back some of the old favorites that they removed when they revamped their menu in the Summer of 2014. Some of the new beers they have are out of this world ! The Chai of the Tiger is great as well as their Cranberry beer. I was a bit reluctant to try it because I thought it would be too fruity tasting but it wasn’t at all. It was excellent. Can’t comment on whether or not the service in the dining room has gotten any better because we’ve sat at the bar the past couple of times we’ve been and it’s been perfect.

Came here the other evening for an office Christmas party on the top floor. We had wings and sliders for appetizers to go along with a great open bar. They had 5 beers on tap upstairs and my favorite that I tried was the mocha stout. The food for the buffet consisted of salad, bread, chicken, stuffed shrimp, rice and vegetables. The buffet was ok nothing to write home about food quality wise. The deserts were nice but obviously bought somewhere else. The cookies and ice cream were a nice sweet finish. The bartending is the reason Brickhouse gets 4 instead of 3 for me. Downstairs was crazy busy and they had a live band going as well so we were lucky we had such great help during the party. The two bartenders had total control at the bar for 60 people which was very impressive, especially when no one is paying for drinks hence we totally abused the open bar. I ordered a whiskey sour and one of the bartenders had to run downstairs to get the sour mix I believe or they ran out of whiskey so we ordered some beers instead and I went back to my seat to eat. About 10 minutes later the bartender found me at my table and gave me the whiskey sour I was asking for! Now that’s impressive bartending. I gave him through out the night $ 20 plus in tips cause he deserved it. I don’t know if I would come back for the bar area because there are so many other places in Patchogue that I haven’t tried yet; maybe stop for a beer and hope I get the same bartender.

Can only base this rating on the smoked gouda mac & cheese, but OMG was it incredible!!! And pretty inexpensive given the portion size!!! Would order that over and over again. They had a decent beer list on tap but I don’t drink beer so I have to go on the fact that my husband was really happy with their selections. Plus they had a tasting flight so he could sample a few. Definitely a great spot!

I used to frequent this place back around 2000. Its been quite awhile so we decided to go back and give it another try last night. Overall it seemed pretty good. The food has gotten better since my last visit. The menu is much better now as well. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to take pictures but here’s my thoughts. the good: — Short rib & cheddar grilled pita — Wings(cooked nicely, well done) Nothing bad. we all enjoyed our meals. Service seemed on point. We will probably be back for lunch in the near future.

Based on my one experience I am giving this place 4 stars. I wanted to go to the Blue Point Brewery, but much to my dismay they were closed. So I searched for a brewery near Patchogue and the Brick House Brewery popped up. It was about 1pm on Sunday and they had a handful of patrons. My wife and I sat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and she recommended that I try a beer flight. I got a flight of 6 beers for $ 10. The rye IPA was my favorite and the the nitro stout was a standout as well. In fact I enjoyed every beer that I tried, which never happens! We also had an order of smoked Gouda Mac & cheese and a turkey bacon avocado wrap that was served with fried pickles. All of the food was good. The highlight was the Mac and the fried pickles. Both were awesome! The fried pickles were paired perfectly with a ranch dipping sauce. The only criticism I can make about the food is that the turkey in the wrap was a bit dry, and I was expecting fresh avocado slices and got more of a paste. On a busy Friday or Saturday night I can see this place being a bit nuts, so I would stick to off hours. I will absolute return here in the future.

Trying to be as honest as possible here 1. Great beer. 2. Navigate the menu properly and you can get a few snacks that should please, but I’ve noticed nothing seems all that fresh; your avocado is usually just goop, your burgers and things are dry, and everything you expect to pop, is sorta surprisingly basic. The menu seems great but execution is a disaster. I never really liked the place back in the day, but you make an effort, change the brewmaster, and things start turning around; the beer is there, but as much as I love and want brick house to succeed, I think they still need to push to be great. Upon hearing the menu changed we all rushed back, the new menu looked great, and execution was almost perfect, for about two weeks. They’ve cut some of the more interesting options and never execute the menu well, nor do they seem to provide very good service, you always wait and wait and wait. Start cooking egg sandwiches and feeding me their awesome beer and I’ll be happy. 2nd worst burger I’ve ever had actually. Good bar pretzel when they have em. Good bar pizza when you’ve been drinking. Basic bar junk is good Stay away from ordering scallops Come for the beer. Stay for some live music and… beer. 3. Beer

Came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner. There was about 30 people. We only had one waiter but I never felt like the service was slow. He was friendly and efficient. There was a bathroom right outside of the room which was clean. I had a glass of Pinot noir that I enjoyed, one of the grooms men’s wives also had a glass, hers had spoiled. They have her a new one without incident, I wasn’t put off my it. The wings were good and I liked my steak. It want the best steak that I’ve ever had, but on par for what I would expect of a pub. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I did not like the dessert, I had the Crème brûlée cheesecake and only took one bite! Parking was tricky, which I assume as an out of towner is typical for this area.

Go for the beer, but nothing more. No nice way of putting this: The food SUCKS. It’s a grease pit. Every meal that came to the table has dishes that were slick with grease and oil. My fiancé had the shepherds pie, and there was literally a pool of grease at the bottom of her dish. It was absolutely foul to look at. I have a black pepper allergy. I asked for no black pepper on my meal, which my well-informed, judgy hipster waiter assured me wouldn’t be a problem because my meal didn’t have black pepper on it anyway. Care to guess about what happens when my food comes out? I’ll spoil it for you: Loaded with black pepper. I had ordered a 3rd beer with my meal, and the look he gave me of, «really, another?» was far from gratifying. I could understand if I was on my eighth martini, but not on my third beer. The restaurant looks like they raided an abandoned Ground Round, found the least stained and broken stuff, and brought it back with them. It is a small space that was completely overcrowded with more tables and chairs than they can actually accommodate. The beer was very good, which I guess is the point in a brewery, but if that is the case, ditch the restaurant aspect because that is what is killing my review, and I’m sure most others(will need to go back and read some). Stick to appetizers, easy pub food, clear out the tables in the back, add a pool table and some dart boards, and this place would be a fun hangout, or at least better than what it is now. There are a lot of cool places in Patchogue, so I’ll likely be passing on this one in the future.

You gotta love Brick House! I always have a great time here and for good reasons… BEER!!! Brick House has one of the most inventive and original brews and beer cocktail menus I’ve come across –and they actually pull it all off nicely! Their Brick House Red is easily one of my favorite peers to come out of L.I. The food here is equally as good and feature items that go all over the place like Mahi Mahi tacos, chile shrimp wontons, mussels, and on and on… The Brewben: corned beef braised in ale on rye topped with Brussels sprout sauerkraut is just insanely delicious and my favorite. There’s always something going on here and typically draws a friendly crowd of people who are out to have a great brew with like-minded people. Weekends pack out especially when local bands come to jam which only adds to the festive vibe of the place. BHB will always be kept in my rotation of places to get my drink on. I only wished I lived closer!

I was walking around Patchogue last night and they are really stepping up their game. Lots of great new restaurants and the town is totally dedicate to beer!(My kinda town) Which brings me to the Brickhouse Brewery & Restaurant. They’ve been in business for a long time, they have great beer! How are they for food after all these new places are popping up? Yeah, the service still sucks but the food is actually pretty current. We started with a bowl of Mussels, cooked perfectly! I ordered the Oyster Po Boy and my wife ordered the Chicken Sage burger. What we noticed on both our sandwiches, the Ciabatta bread wasn’t toasted. Just sliced cold, it made for a chewy entrée. But the chicken burger with the Sage? I grow Sage, its easy to grow and adds flavor to bland chicken. My Oysters? They were pretty plentiful on my sandwich and anything fried tastes great. It’s a 3 ½ star meal but when you add the Stout I just had? Pushes the meal to(4) stars. I like this place. The next time I’m back, I’ll order my other favorite sandwich, The«Brewben».
