Ok… this spot was just ok. I kinda liked the old times look they have going on inside but the food is way to old. It’s boring. My burger was nothing special. The cheese on it was blah. Ehhh.

Absolutely top notch food and wonderful atmosphere. The menu is expansive and there is something for every taste bud and every price range. There are affordable options as well as more expensive ones, but the food is universally delicious. I had the best steak sandwich of my life here and would highly recommend it to anyone. The beer was also great, though there wasn’t as big a selection, but it was affordable. And the atmosphere was excellent, very appropriate for an Irish Pub style. My only complaint was that the wait staff was a bit inattentive, but so bad that you would notice. Overall a great dining experience.

Definition of simple but effective. It’s dim and cozy inside and the guy who owns it is such a nice old man. The burger is known to be delicious and the coleslaw is really good.(I don’t like cole slaw) Not really a place for kids but definitely if you are a little older. It is tiny inside.

When you see Reese’s 1900 from the outside it looks like a house. But when you walk in you walk into another time. They play 40’s music to set the tone in a low lite dining room. Before I could look around I was greeted by Loran, who has the privilege of being a waitress there for 15 years. Loran engaged the table with conversation about the history of the place and the area. I went to the second floor, that’s right, the second floor to use the bathroom and while waiting for the bathroom I spoke with the owner, Joe. What a top notch guy. Very friendly and smart. Coming back to the table Loran guided us through the ins and outs of the menu and then we places our order. The food is in the realm of perfection! Everything is made in house so it’s always fresh. Reese’s is top 5 for me and that says a lot. We had the coleslaw and potato salad first. I might add I hate coleslaw… or so I thought. But after trying it at Reese’s, that set the benchmark for me! Loran was so sure we would like the potato salad she brought some to the table and that to was excellent. Next our appetizer came. When I tell you those potato skins were good I mean they were good! They are not shy with cheese and give you your money’s worth. Finally the Reese’s 1900 cheese burger! Wow that burger was big and made right. The beef is from a local deli so it is always fresh. The bacon on my burger was crunchy!!! Some one tell McDonald’s that bacon is suppose to be that way. They don’t over-do the bun so you taste the burger. All these other restaurants need to «stop trying to reinvent the wheel!» People go to eat meat from the burger, I don’t care if you use Ciabatta bread! They give you what you ask for at Reese’s, beef! Finally Joe, the owner, came to our table and talked to us again and spoke to us about things other then the food. That’s wondering in my book. Joe listened and took the compliment in with great acceptance! Joe is a owner that truly cares about his business. The only negative for me was finishing my burger to soon. Is there a law against order seconds? The prices on the appetizers are high, but that’s only because they make everything fresh. I would not hesitate to come again. If your a real food person and love a great atmosphere, then stop by Reese’s 1900 in Patchogue, I know I’m getting a burger to go next time.

You don’t go to Reese’s for the beer, unless you like bud n stuff. A toasted would be their best. You go to this loved by locals pub, because of its food, and local charm. Generally busy and delicious you can navigate the menu how you see fit, but I suggest a few things over the rest. The chili! Get it loaded. The burgers! Order them medium rare the way God intended, and get anything you want on them. The best ever coleslaw will be joined with their fantastic homemade pickles! Don’t miss any of this. The pastrami is awesome and French onion soup fantastic too! Usually great service and always amazing fried shrimp! Homemade tarter and cocktail sauces to boot. Steak fries — wedges of yummy potato ask for them well done! The quality of food and service alike is quite good regardless of price, this is a local pub with good pub food and a real burger! No place has real burgers anymore. Thick n juicy is what you’ll get every time. This is a hidden gem, and if you aren’t a local, and don’t care for it, I’d prefer to keep it just us locals anyway. We understand Reese’s. We love Reese’s.

My fav place to eat… I come here at least once a week and it always feels like home. The staff are amazing and I love going there no matter who’s on staff! Matt the bartender and Joe the waiter are awesome. I bring people here all the time to eat because whatever anyone orders is guaranteed to be great! The burgers are the best I’ve every had in my entire life, the coleslaw and pickles are the best known to man and the corned beef is to die for! All of the specials are guaranteed to be delicious and fresh, as well as every item that I or company ever ordered off the menu. Great parking and the other customers are usually very sociable and friendly. Highest recommendation for casual dining.

Such a hidden gem. Everything was great!!! The cole slaw is the best I’ve ever had, the wings were super crunchy and the homemade pickles were amazing. The corned beef and pastrami were delicious!!! Probably the best Reuben I’ve ever had. We finished the meal with Irish Coffees and they were also excellent. Nice atmosphere(a little small but the food and service makes up for it), great service and excellent food. We will definitely be back!

Been here about 3x now, always a good meal. This time it was the Delancy Street sandwich, corned beef on rye, and a Manhattan clam chowder(half sandwich and soup) for me. My fiancée had a pastrami sandwich and chili. Both our sandwiches were excellent, nice lean corned beef on mine, soft and tender, not dry, and fresh rye bread. I know from past experience how good their chili is, I prefer it naked so I get the full unadulterated chili flavor, but my fiancée liked it with cheese and sour cream. The clam chowder was good, though I didn’t detect much clam. Hmmm. The meal was preceded by pickles and cole slaw. Good pickles, but the cole slaw is swimming in mayo. A touch less mayo and it would be great. Service was good, and my bottle of pumpkin ale arrived with a nice frosty glass rimmed with cinnamon and sugar, a nice touch I wasn’t expecting. Will definitely come back again!

This Pub is great! They bring to the table Coleslaw and Sliced pickles. And let me just throw this in there. I hate Coleslaw, however the last time I visited Reese’s I was STARVING… And when they placed that little dish of Coleslaw down, I poked at it with a fork and decided to taste it… Honestly, it was good! I ate it! Now, being I ate Coleslaw the following day I went to a party and tried that«store buy» branded Coleslaw… and I hated it. Moral of the story. Reese’s is the only Slaw I’ll eat. I ordered the Bacon cheddar Potato skins as a starter for the table which came out really good and cheesy! For Dinner, I ordered the 1900 Burger. Its a thick beef burger with bacon on top and your choice of a cheese.(I go with Blue cheese) and then I asked for their Wing sauce on the side!.. It was delicious, did not disappoint! They make these potato wedges as «fries» which no doubt are really good… But I have to say, the Onion rings are by far the way to go! You can also ask for ½ Fries ½ Rings if you want to try them both! The décor of the place sets you back in the early 1900’s yet give you that Irish feel. Its a great place to just stop in and grab a bite to eat if that’s what you’re looking for. The bartender was a really nice man! and the younger waiter guy was really kind as well. They both made sure we were alright and see if we needed anything throughout our dinner. Beers cold! And your glass never seems to be empty, when you’re a ¼ full, the bartender will ask if you’re ready for your next! I will be back for sure.

After reading reviews of this place, I was hoping this would be a nice pub to go to before a concert across the street. It was an OK place. It was the night of a suspected blizzard in the middle of winter and coming from Jersey City, NJ I knew we were taking a risk to see some good music(ie Miles to Dayton). Me and two of my friends drove out to Patchogue and were famished. So this was one of few places to go within the time we had before the show. It was crowded but expected for a Friday night. Mixed ages, everyone from families with young children to seniors sharing a scotch to drunken 30 – 50 somethings hitting on those much younger than them. The food was traditional bar food which was mainly fried. The prices for the food and drinks was okay but the quality was meh. I think i had a grilled cheese BLT and soup — which was surprisingly good! Staff was ok, but seemed a little spacey. All and all, if you gotta eat, this place is fine.

I have dined here many times with family and friends and have always had a great meal. From the burgers to the Sheppard’s pie this place is sure to please all pallets. They also have the best Cole slaw that I have ever had. I would go here just for the Cole slaw and an ice cold beer. I can’t wait to go back for another great meal.

Your greeted by the warm smell of piss emanating from somewhere but wafting over everything. Everything from here is basically inedible. The chicken and cheddar sandwich well that is an overcooked brick and the breading tastes like Saran Wrap. The hot roast beef melt is tasteless. No salt or seasoning of any kind and the sauce smells funny. $ 11.00 for a grilled cheese that’s a joke right. Nope no joke. I’m well off and rarely see price but that’s redic. The potatoes that it came with there’s no doubt there reused everyday. Reheated and reheated and reheated. This place is a dump.

This has always been one of my favorite spots in Patchogue. I worried about the new construction impacting the restaurant, but it still has the same great vibe. It’s like stepping into a time machine. The bartenders and servers always give you their full attention, and the food is always delicious. Check it out the next time you’re in town rather than going to one of the new overpriced restaurants in town! Classics are always best!

Irish /American hidden gem. Reese’s 1900 is one of those places that you always hope to find when looking for a cozy place with great food and drinks. I think we all have a mental picture of a bar /restaurant like Reese’s but most places just don’t deliver. Walk into Reese’s and it is like a little trip back in time — sort of like a cozy country cottage… a cozy country cottage stocked with your favorite libation and some seriously good food. Sort of reminds me of the Irish pubs I frequented while growing up in Queens. Great bartenders, a boat load of nice locals and the aforementioned good grub makes this place a winner in anyone’s book. Bar area is old wood with some small tables with more dining room space upstairs they can get a good crowd in here. Prices are average– but I will tell you this– it beats the snot out of most of the Patchogue places that are trying much too hard(Meetballs etc.) This is a solid food and drink place and you will have yourself a nice time as well. Definitely give it a shot– we will be in there more often! Parking up the street and here and there.

So I see that a lot of the comments are very high ratings, not exactly sure why. Burgers had no flavor. Chili wasn’t spicy, I had to add a LOT of hot sauce to get it to be a bit spicy and I regretted eating it the next day. The only thing I took away from this place was to put the bacon under the cheese. Meanwhile the onions were really tasty! The The tables are very small and it was busy so our group opted to sit at the bar, which was nice and the bartender was very nice — you can tell he cares about the place, but it is way too small. The stockpiling of used glasses in front of us was rather disturbing. It didn’t help that there was only one person working behind the very busy bar and the owner was too drunk to help him out. At all. Literally, knocking over bottles, drinking from them to polish them off, and letting the other customers(regulars I assume) rub his bald head. Not the most attractive thing to be doing with first timers in the room.
