Cute Place, feels like you visited a home not a restaurant. very friendly. great food. Seemed only two people working, Old lady is very caring and the gentleman inside the kitchen prepares the food fresh to your order. One day, A kid forgot his wallet while picking up the order, the old lady was so kind and told him to first take the food home and eat and bring the money ONLYAFTERFINISHINGTHEFOOD. «There are many good people out there in the world«- made my day. Definitely revisit for great service and good food.

I got to admit. I have been to chinese food places all over northern cali and in central valley. I found myself thinking this place should be more busy. Their food is good and their char sui which is their BBQ pork is to die for. I miss food in new jersey and this place put me back to food in the east coast. For a place out of nowhere in a small town like patterson. I can say I can not taste anything more amazing than this chinese food in the central valley almost close to bay area american chinese food. I wish it is closer to modesto so I can get this food quick.

I came here based on other Unilocal reviews as I am new to the area. The lady behind the counter is an absolute doll, very sweet. The food itself is only OK, I wouldn’t say it was extremely authentic, but for the price you do get quite a bit of food. I had the half fried rice, half chow mein plate with sweet and sour chicken and beef with broccoli. Food was pretty standard tasting, not horrible, but not great, the rice was a tad too mushy for my taste. All in all not bad at all, I’ll probably be back to try different items.

my favorite Chinese place in Patterson. Was excited to eat some today, but it was closed. It said online they were open on Saturdays but we stopped by and no one was there.

Our family absolutely love this place!!! Very fresh well prepared can’t go wrong here. The complaint is that it is closed on Sunday! So we have to eat the other crappy Chinese if we get a crave.

This place is so underrated, it’s offensive to food lovers. The lady(I’m assuming the owner or at least a relative) always has a smile. I only wish they had a larger location, and more help. Their food is awesome, I recommend the Mongolian Beef and some Crabs puffs on the side

Panda Express is the exact place I wanted to avoid and came here with my parents for lunch. Owners are very friendly and hospitable. They’ve been in Patterson for 10 years and are still very eager to impress every customer that walks through the door. The place was dead, not surprising… however I think locals know this is a great spot for Chinese take-out. Don’t be turned off by the old sign or building. Or the fact that there is no food out ready to be served. This means your food will be cooked to order! They strive to use fresh ingredients and serve tasty food at reasonable prices. If you love Panda, go to Panda. Don’t come here expecting Panda, come here for Chinese food! Honestly, I’m not from Patterson, but I’d go to Li Xu’s just because they’ve been here for 10 years and their food is good! If something really isn’t to your liking, politely let them know, I’m sure they’d appreciate the polite criticism. All I gotta say is, a Chinese place like this doesn’t stay in business for 10 years in the middle of nowhere by accident — they’re not even right off the freeway! I ordered chow fun and chow mein, both were a solid 8⁄10 — not super greasy, not loaded with MSG, and generous meat and noodle portions. DID I MENTIONTHEYTURNONTHEIR A/C?

Another home town favorite, classic mom and pop shop. worth every penny and never disappoints! Fighting the good fight against the other Chinese joints that have popped up recently especially Panda Express. hands down I’ll choose Li xu before anyone else. super nice and friendly, smiles and always has fresh egg rolls for us. only thing I wish I could change was that they didn’t close at 8pm or Sundays, but then again mom and pop so not a bid deal.

The lady that owns the place is nice and offered me samples of the food when I went there for the first time, however after ordering the food, it was just your regular take-out Chinese. Nothing really special about the food, nor did it stand-out. Would I go there again? Um not a yes, but not a no.

The owners are really sweet. Every time I request a special tofu dish, they will make it for me! Prices are fair and the portions are big, my all time favorite soup is the hot & sour soup. Now that’s a gem!

I had been wanting to try this place for quite some time. Every time I would think about it however, the appearance would turn me off. It is a real dive in a run down, long past it’s prime shopping center. The inside is even worse, with boxes and news papers strewn about. What changed my mind, were the reviews I’d read in here singing its praises. I should have listened to my original inner voice. I ordered Kung Pao chicken and fried rice to go. Both were absolutely inedible. One bite of each, and the whole mess went straight to the garbage. I realize that few restaurants make good Kung Pao chicken, but if you can’t make fried rice edible, what else is there. The staff in here seem to be really friendly and down right nice people. For that reason I hate giving them a bad review, but the truth can not be ignored. I’ll give them 5 stars for attitude, but I have to take away 4 for the quality of the food. I’ll throw in an extra star so it’s a little better than it deserves.

Patterson has very few dining options — but Li Xu’s is actually one of our favorites! Considering its location(tucked inside an old shopping center), Li Xu’s actually has really good Chinese food. Fresh produce, tasty dishes, and they give you good sized portions. The staff is always very friendly.

This is a great take out Chinese restaurant. They have excellent basil chicken. A patient of mine told me about the basil chicken, so I decided to go try it. I was very pleased. The owners are very friendly as are the other owners of the other two Chinese restaurants in town also. They will also make probably anything you request.

When it comes to a good tasting Chinese meal, the only place that comes close to a good meal would be Li Xu’s Kitchen. The location isn’t ideal but the food is definitely good. This is as close to getting food from Chinatown out in the sticks. It is styled similar to a Panda Express, where food is all prepared and is being heated by heat lamps. But the neat thing is that you can also order other foods that are also listed on the menu. The menu is fairly huge… and if you know your Chinese food and you don’t see it in the menu, they can make it special for you as well. That is a big plus. The restaurant itself is more of a sit-down, fast food type. Not exactly an ideal date location but rather a quick lunch and go type of atmosphere. The two who owns the location are two elderly Mandarin-speaking couple and from time to time, you will see their daughter helping out in the front. They are really friendly and will always try to get you the«freshest» food to you. Most places would mix in the«just cooked» with the«stale cooked» in the heater and call it a day. Li Xu, however, would discard the old food and give you the newer one. I enjoy going there and from time to time, I will sit there an enjoy a good meal. It’s nice, quaint, and remnant of old-style chinatown food with a flare of modern day amenities.

With the understanding that this is not a high end establishment, at all, I can still recommend Li Xu’s for good take-away. The meal that I always order when I get take-out there is tofu with vegetables. It’s not one that’s kept in a warming tray so it’s always fresh. One time, I favorably remarked on the quality of the tofu and I was told that they purchase it at a farmer’s market in Stockton with their veggies. My boss really likes their Mongolian Lamb. Another co-worker orders Prawns with Asparagus and Jalapenos. Both dishes are also fresh prepared. The reason these fine dishes don’t earn the café a fourth or fifth star is that there couldn’t be less ambiance. It would be impossible to eat here. There’s often loud Chinese or Christian radio blaring, it’s tiny, and I don’t believe that it’s air-conditioned in Summer. My advice: Don’t worry about the details! Just order something that requires preparation, take it away and enjoy a good meal.
