John’s Seafood

The seafood is always fresh and its a very friendly family owned establishment. Known for their Hog Shrimp they are amazing !! During winter months there always atleast two to three homemade soups which are all always fresh. During the summer crabs are always reasonably priced cooked cleaned or live, I prefer cooked cleaned in garlic and harbor spice. They also have great wings I recommend the garlic hot sauce. Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious, you will not be disappointed if you make the trip to John’s !!!

Very good fresh seafood. Cooked to order or you can take home and cook yourself. Friendly employees. We got 21 shrimp in basket with fries. Fantastic! We also got a half pound of cooked shrimp with a Healthy portion of mac and cheese. Delish! All for $ 16.99.

I’ve lived in the area for two years and didn’t even realize there was a seafood takeout joint near me. I just happened to ride by one day and thought I’d check it out. Nowadays it’s hard to find decent seafood places that have FRESH, seafood. My friend and I decided to get the #2 family special. For around $ 25 you get three pieces of nice size flounder, 10 large butterflied shrimp, approx 12 med size SWEET and SUCCULENT scallops and two crab filled cakes. I also went ala carte on a yummy deviled clam cake.
When we opened up the containers when we got home all we could say was ‘WOW!” now that’s a lot of seafood! There was so much that we each had extra to take to work the next day for lunch!
My friend (who is an avid fisherman) was also very impressed with their unadvertised special… Fried Blowfish. (Mind you, this isn’t something I’d eat, but he said if they have it next time he will be getting it).
All in all, you just can’t beat this place for delicious seafood that isn’t overly breaded for fried food. I haven’t tried the broiled yet, but I’m sure it’s just as good. It’s also a very friendly and CLEAN environment inside which is just as important as having good food!

Lots of fresh seafood. Get some to cook at home, or have them cook it for you. Prices are pretty good, especially for the platters. The fish platter could easily feed three people!
