Roadhouse Grill

Unimpressed! My husband has been wanting me to go try their portobello fries for a long time. What we received were basically burnt, heavily breaded mushroom sticks. Nothing like he had described as lightly battered with fantastic sauce. Sauce was plain ranch dressing. Burgers were just ok but a little overpriced. Service was seriously lacking until we were ready to pay the bill. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

Very nice happy hour, food pretty good. Friendly environment, again a local hang out for business people, met many very nice people, eager to chat. Bar seats are the favorite place to sit for us. Kinda like a Cheers environment.

Not from Paw Paw and were meeting family here on a Sunday for dinner. Got there at 2:00. Saw they had prime rib on weekends. Tried to order that and said it wouldn’t be available till after 5:00. Then tried to order Ribs. Were told those also wouldn’t be available till after 5:00 as well as baked potatoes???
The food we did get was good, however, when we went to pay for our bill, we had a «super book» coupon. Waitress told us the restaurant was under new management and they were not accepting the coupons??? There was no sign or anything to indicate that and they did nothing to compensate.
Not happy with the way things were handled. Will think twice before I go there again.
I think they should have comped us something if not accepting the coupon.

The new owner has definitely turned this place around. Great food and great service! Will be back the next time I am in town. Sliders are awesome!

Extremely poor service from the manager to the wait staff. It took 40 minutes to receive our food. We never did receive our appetizers. When our food finally did come it was cold. The cheese on the nacho dish my friend ordered was hard it was so cold. The steak we ordered medium rare was rare and cold. When we brought this to the attention of the manager his response was the steak was warm enough. He did bring us out a new baked potato. How hard is it to put a steak back on and cook it a little more?

The reviews for this place had me a little worried. But due to the fact it was close to home and it was a very snowy night I decided to brave it anyway. Was not disappointed. My server was an amazing waiter. He was attentive, told me about specials, and was exceptionally friendly. I ordered the 8 ounce sirloin which was a nice cut of meat and it was cooked perfectly. My husband got the ribs and they were equally good. The only problem was the food took a while. Considering the restaurant was almost empty due to a blizzard I’d be concerned going there if it was packed… Can’t imagine how slow the food would be then. It’s worth the risk and I’ll be back.

My large party of 12 women came into roadhouse on a saturday night for my bachelorette party. We were a little nervous as the staff was not given our reservation and seemed flustered on top of being unprepared. we could not have left happier! most of my party were service industry people who received good service from a sweet waitresses, drinks weren’t fancy but well made, and had no meal complaints (my prime rib was a perfect medium rare). We moved from the dinner section to the bar where the band, playn Jane, tore the house down. amazing covers of classic rock, they pulled us on stage, engaged the entire crowd. these guys obviously love what they do and do it well! our cocktail waitress was fast, kind, fun. The bartender was quick and personable. we are from Wisconsin and needed a last minute place for dinner, and we were lucky to experience roadhouse grill! I had the time of my life! thanks for the stories and memories!

At first I thought we had made a mistake. We were seated and didn’t have our drink order taken until I finally tracked down a waitress. She was nice and apologized several times. I ordered the ny strip and my husband the rib eye. Both steaks were cooked perfectly were very juicy and flavorful! To make it up to us the waitress gave us the two entrees for $ 20 deal which saved us over $ 20 on the check. We were just passing thru but would defiantly go again if in the area.

It is Good food. Priced ok. I have been in here 1 or 2 times. Beer is cold. Servers nice, always folks in here.

My husband and I stopped in to grab dinner on the way to Marshall. I had the make your own burger and he had the ribs. Food was great, the server was a delight. Best part was the bill. We had to look twice since back in Chicago it would have been 3−4x’s the cost.

Live music on a Wednesday night? Hell yes! It was country too which was a crowd pleaser, at our table for sure. Wednesday was build-​a burger or 5 $ burger night so 2 out of 4 in our party got that. Another had italian beef on a pretzel roll and I had soup & salad bar. Everyone was pretty content. The chicken and asparagus soup was very tasty, but I did find frozen «fresh» mushrooms in the salad bar so not cool. There were some flies or wee buggies flitting around the s. bar and around our table, so uh tis the season or time to call someone or other on that or put up traps. Imo. Everyone was pleased overall and the music was great so extra star for that alone.
