Good food, good beers, but service could use some help. We have visited this establishment on numerous occasions and had to have our bill corrected every single time. So if you choose to visit this establishment sit at the bar!

Sat at the bar. Good choice of brews on tap to choose from. Ordered pulled pork nachos when blues band played in the background.

Just finished a delicious lunch at Taphouse One 20. We used to be huge fans of Bistro 120 and were sad to see it go. While Taphouse isn’t a direct replacement of the bistro its a re-envisioning and reimagining that really steps up to what’s popular today. Their food is quite imaginative and most delicious. On our previous visit(during their soft open) we had some of their doobies which were tasty and very large — well worth a try! Today we visited for a lunch without the kids. My wife had one of their specialty grilled cheeses. Now I must say when I read that it was a grilled cheese with jalapeños, peanut butter, jelly, cream cheese and bacon my instant reaction was — disgusting! I couldn’t have been more wrong — it was deliciousness in a sandwich! I had a stuffed burger and it was very well prepared. All the flavor a melded together and the burger was absolutely delicious. Both of us had fries one the side which were awesome hand cut and perfect! Service was very good, I’m pretty sure we had one of the owners, very friendly and happy to get whatever we needed. I’m not sure what the other reviews are complaining about other than yearning for the yesteryear that was Bistro 120. It’s definitely not the same, it’s as good if not better. Congratulations on successfully replacing your old namesake as one of my favorites. We see you again soon!

First impression is that the restaurant is lacking some décor. I understand they recently opened & this may /should improve. The large tv’s behind the bar could be nice to watch a game if they are open late enough. Most importantly the service is lacking, & the wait time for food is extremely long. We have dined their on two occasions hoping the second would be better then the first. On both occasions it took 45 minutes to an hour to get some burgers. They were good when we got them, but that’s a really long wait. The restaurant did not appear to be overly busy on either occasion, as serving staff had plenty of time to stand around and talk while we waited on refills. Really hoping they can iron out the wrinkles. Outside of La Cantina it is difficult to find a great meal in Paw Paw.

Caution: Bistro 120, the fine restaurant that occupied this location for many years, is closed and gone(owners retired). New occupancy is using a similar name(120 Taphouse & Bistro), but be forewarned: the new and old have very little in common. On the night we went, about a week after the official grand opening, the dining room was about 60% full, yet it took 45 minutes after ordering to receive our food. The kitchen here was always too small relative to the dining room, but the former owners made it work. Current management has not figured out how to do that. Tale of Two Cities: the old décor is gone and the place looks barren. The building needs a lot of work. The former menu is gone, replaced by glorified bar food. While all that is disappointing, I will say that when our orders arrived the food was hot and tasty. Paw Paw probably can’t support a restaurant like the old Bistro 120 on a year-round basis, so maybe the new owners are more in tune with the current market. I wish them good luck and hope they are able to invest and improve. For the moment, three stars at most.
