Service was fine. Food was mediocre. Asked for a kids size hibachi steak for my 4 yr old. And was brought a piece of steak on a plate with no sides and then was charged $ 11.00! I feel for that price they should have brought out the entire plate of food not just a piec of steak on a saucer.

For lunch I ordered the pork over rice($ 9) and a sushi appetizer($ 7). The sushi was alright. The pork don was horrible. As the don is a very traditional Japanese dish that is VERY easy to make tasty, this was disappointing. The pork, supposedly breaded and fried, was soggy and wet. You’d think that means the pork was flavorful and had sauce, but alas it was not so. It was so tasteless and bland. The rice underneath was drowning in broth. It’s supposed to be dry, freshly steamed white rice. In addition the rice did not taste good either. Overall, go with the lunch/dinner specials, the bento boxes, or the sushi platters, and other stuff that Americans would commonly order, and you would get okay food. If you tread off the beaten path, and want to get something more cultural, more Japanese, you will be disappointed.

These people seriously don’t know how to serve. I waited almost 10 minutes for my waitress to notice me and took my orders. Then another 10 minutes for my appetizer. And I have been waiting for more than 25 minutes for my food!!! They sure do take their sweet time! All the waitresses just sit there and text! They don’t even give a damn about customers waiting.

Tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. I checked out their menu before I went. They have a huge selection of sushi. I loved this place and will definitely go back.

Host just stood there and told us to sit — while she was on her phone. Already upset with that. Then our waiter took about 15+ minutes to get our drink order, and then getting our drinks took a while. We finally ordered and our sushi was not tasty at all. The next day of eating here — I got really bad food poisoning. I thought it was just me, but the friend that went with me also got food poisoning. I suggested this place to eat bc I used to come here — but over time I just feel like it’s gone a little down hill.

I just moved into the area, so I’ve been exploring and trying the local fare. I recently had a rather debilitating illness and couldn’t eat for about 8 days(literally, no food or drink for 8 days). So 8 days later, and about 8 pounds lighter, I was hungry. I came in around 3 in the afternoon. There was only one guy working the floor and only two other customers, so the service was good. The two customers were talking quiet loudly for such a small and quiet place, so that was slightly annoying. One of the fellows has a voice like Piglet from Winnie the Pooh, but yelling. It got old. Nice decore, small place, tucked in a small shopping strip. The menu was HUGE. Like, just stop and go home kind of huge. Whether it’s a bunch of repeat things slightly changed, or a wealth of fishy goodness, I don’t yet know. But this place definitely has a diverse selection for the adventurous fish-o-philes. I started with the salmon sake. Delicious and each piece the size of my tongue $ 1.75 each. Fresh and goooood. I judge a sushi joint by its salmon. They passed. Order number 2, was the softshell crab. It was fantastic! Cooked just enough for a slight outer crunch, and soft delicious innards! It came out pretty quickly, and was served with a warm bowl of some sauce. Very good, and definitely worth getting again. For the third and final order, I chose the Noah’s Ark Roll. It was very good. I think it might have been a little too heavy on the mayo, but seeing as this was my first actual solid food in 8 days I could be quite sensitive to the flavors. But even so, that roll was filled with salmon, eel, tuna and everything else your mouth would want to have in it. Well… almost everything. It is served in a large portion, and is definitely worth a go. All of my oral experiences at Little Tokyo have pictures to go with them. Feel free to take a gander. The waiter was a nice fella. Very well mannered and courteous. I think service is damn near as important as the food, so they get a good grade on that too. Go there. Eat fish. Be happy.

You MUST try this place! This is my favorite place to eat in Pearland. Not only is the sushi EXCELLENT, the prices are unbeatable. We just left and our bill was $ 44 for 4 rolls, edamame, and 4 large pcs of sashimi. They also have a «points» system, which I thought was strange at first, but it saved me $ 12 on our last meal(and we only go about once a month). I have had sushi at several places in Houston and this is my choice every time. I can’t say enough good things. My favorite rolls are Melissa, lady tiger, rocky volcano(best) and spicy robin. 5 stars!

This used to be my favorite sushi spot in Pearland. Don’t get me wrong — the food is great. But their new business hours are ridiculous. They’re closed on Sundays AND Mondays?! And most lunches. It’s limiting, and it seems like they’re never open when I’m craving them. I preferred their old schedule. Aside from that, the food is great.

I love this place. I always get the salad and mushroom soup. The sushi is delicious. And the rewards points are such a great deal.

Awful! If I can rate no star I will. I come for lunch special bento box $ 15. It comes out really tempura is not crispy at all. My friend order soft shell crab roll(Micky roll) they put only 2 legs of crab without any crab meat. So disappointing! Don’t waste your money here

I have been going to Little Tokyo for years. In my opinion, its the best sushi you’re going to get in Pearland. For a quick sushi fix, it will do the job. The menu is massive. Pages and pages of sushi roll to choose from. Throughout the years, I have developed a few of my favorites, and whenever I stray away from my favorites, I usually get something that is mediocre or I am not a fan of. These are the rolls I usually order: Royal Alex, Super Secret, Noah’s Arc, Taos, Chief and sometimes I’ll get the Jungle Roll. I like a lot of flavor and sauces on my rolls, so these rolls have a lot of sauces/ingredients and most of them have raw fish. My all time favorite is the Royal Alex. The restaurant is pretty casual. Sometimes I go in my flipflops and shorts. I have never experienced amazing service here, and it is really is a hit or miss. The service is not consistent. However, if you’re in the area with good company and are not in a rush to go anywhere, I would recommend little tokyo for sushi! Oh, and be sure to sign up for their sushi reward card thing. You basically get 10% on your next order if you’re planning to go again! It’s FREE to sign up!

I enjoy a lunch here from time to time. The seaweed salad is delicious and enjoy the sashimi. Last time I went I wasn’t overly impressed by the rolls, will give them another shot but stick more to the sashimi for me.

Our first visit to Little Tokyo in Pearland. We were greeted right away, and our server was prompt to get our drink order. We placed our order for sushi. It was fresh and was presented very nicely. This may be our new local sushi spot in Pearland.

Arrived at 8:30 on Saturday. We waited several minutes for a hostess to appear. We were then seated(by a waitress) and waited 12 minutes and no waitperson. We tried to make eye contact, but the 3 waitresses looked beyond stressed out. The table next to us was agitated with the same issue. There were 3 sushi chefs, 1 bartender and 3 waitresses. Too little staff for a Saturday night. There was no manager to be seen. We got up and left. The food has been good in the past but we will NOT return. The owners really need to invest in additional trained staff. RIDICULOUS!!!

I was pretty disappointed in my last visit to Little Tokyo. The sushi rice was extremely dry, to the point that I needed water to wash down each bite. The sashimi pieces were also subpar in texture, although the taste was still good. I did really love their spicy tuna appetizer though!

I sincerely wish I could leave a positive review, but there sushi is so bland. On a positive note the bartenders are awesome hence the reason for the two stars and drinks are good. I’ve tried different speciality rolls and you would think as beautiful as they look it would taste good(not the case here). I will not be coming back to this place.

Moderately priced, with a wide selection of hand rolls. Bento box dinners are quite good too.

This restaurant recently completed a face lift. The décor may have changed but the food & service remains the same. As such: Food — Most nights the fish is fresh but the quantity is a crap shoot depending on the sushi chef. I’ve gotten the chirashi bowl a half dozen times here. Sometimes it’s filled to the brim with fish, other times its filled with cucumber. The food is good but nothing I would ask a friend to drive cross town for. They have quite a number of rolls to select from. Most are average to good. The ones with crunch topping will vary from below average to excellent depending on the freshness. Service — The one constant. TABLESERVICEISSLOW. You would think raw food should be quick, but in most cases its 25 — 35 minutes. We’ve had good success sitting at the bar where the service seems faster. On a weekend night, do not be surprised if its over a half hour before your sushi starts showing up. Come mentally prepared, we’ve seen people walk out before. Overall, its probably the best sushi in the Pearland area. But I can think of a dozen superior places in Houston metroplex(Tokyo Bowl — Clear Lake, Redfish Grill — Cypress) at this price point.

Little Tokyo has some great sushi, and it’s better than all of it’s competitors in Pearland. I would dare say this is the best sushi for a number of reasons. First off, the sushi isn’t skimpy and for the price you really do get a lot of food. The place isn’t so upscale that it costs a ton just to ‘be there’, but it’s still a very nice restaurant. Second, they have a huge variety of sushi rolls. Sure, their main menu is good, but I only come here for sushi now. I’ve been coming here for about four years, and I still haven’t tried all of the rolls. I want to say they have somewhere around 6 or 7 pages of sushi in their menu. Finally, I’ve never had a roll that wasn’t good — ever. Next time I go there, I promise to get a list of my favorites. The two that are off the top of my head would be the Sakura roll(simple, yet delicious and cheap) and the CiCi roll — the roll with the mountain of tuna on top. The CiCi is only like $ 9 or so and it has so much food on it. So where can I go that will have great value, great taste, great selection and a great atmosphere? It’s hard to say when talking about sushi. Most places are over-priced or only have 6 – 8 rolls to choose from. I understand that presentation has a lot to do with sushi as well, and sure, they present it nicely and all — but that really doesn’t matter to me whenever I come here. Whenever I have friends come to the Pearland area, I tend to take them here. So far everyone I’ve been here with has really enjoyed it. I wish they had some type of happy hour or so, that would be cool. I’ve never had to wait on a table here, either. Most of the staff looks like they’re in high school, some in college. I’ve never had any bad experiences with them. In fact, most of the times we have very good wait-service. Sometimes it take a little while for the sushi to come out — but I can’t complain about that at all, especially if it’s busy. All time favorite restaurant? Probably not, but it sure is close. All time favorite sushi? So far.
