This place is amazing. Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. The servers were very nice and polite. There was a mistake with my order and they fixed very quickly and professionally. I will keep going to 12 Grapes.

My daddy, took us to a family dinner here. Daddy ordered the salmon, which was accompanied by roasted green beans and shiitake mushrooms. The salmon and sides were excellent. The owner came by and greeted us with kindness and welcomed us with love. The ambience is super and the place is a wonderful place to go watch live local musicians on a given night. The best meal that we had was the wild mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce. I had the burger which was very flavorful. Would love to come back to try other dishes and drinks. The dessert was also to die for, flourless chocolate cake. The overall experience was awesome and I look forward to many more nights visiting 12 grapes and bringing out of town guests there.

Sometimes there is good music, the food will not impress, but you can always count on the owner to be a complete ass. A shame really.

Last night was such a red– letter evening! Great music, great food and great company. This was our first night there, but guaranteed it won’t be our last! The service was gracious, the food delectable, and the funky Afro-beat music by the excellent Brighton Beat made the night perfect! We started with Parmesan crusted calamari coated in Panko and served with a delectable tomato sauce. My husband had the salmon, which was simply prepared, and quite tasty. I ordered the linguini with short rib bolognese sauce, served with a dollop of ricotta. So delicious, and I ended up taking half of it home. We split the profiteroles for dessert. Hey, how can you miss with profiteroles? The atmosphere is so welcoming here that we ended up making friends with the couple next to us and plan to go out with THEM next time! You won’t be disappointed here.

I had wanted to try 12 Grapes for quit a while. Tonight my cousin and I decided to try it out. We were cordially greeted by the owner, Jeannie. She immediately made us feel right at home. She made sure we were positioned to be able to enjoy the ambience as well as the band . The décor made me feel like I was in a high end restaurant in Manhattan. We started with a cheese and cold meat plate that had 4 very tasty cheeses, 3 meats, pickles and green olives, a great way to start. We had specialty drinks that were perfect! After much discussion we chose decadent ribs with a very flavorful mac and cheese, both prepared to perfection! Throughout the dinner the waitress and the owner made sure we were well taken care of, both whom were very warm and friendly. At 8:30 am awesome five piece band played and provided a big band sound! By the way, I had not noticed over the years, what a nice city Peekskill is. Very nice architecture and what appeared to be a very nice quant city. Jeannie, the owner pointed out to us that on weekends there is always music on the street in the summer. If you want to enjoy a great dinner in a great environment with great service you should put 12 Grapes on the top of your list! As 12 Grapes was an absolutely great value in all regards, we will be certain to return! Bill Poughkeepsie, NY

Experience is amazing but the food is seriously lacking. The live band was awesome but my cheeseburger was basically raw(I ordered it well done). With that being said I would still give it another try in hopes it was just an off night

Ehhhh just average. Bloody Mary was good… Took a long time to get brunch food and griddle was too hot. Eggs were a little burnt and overall service could have been better.

My wife and I have been coming here for years, both for meals only and for meals and music. Our most recent visit was last night, before a concert we were attending. The service was friendly and attentive, which has nearly always been true here. We split the mushroom ravioli as an appetizer. The outside was soft, but not mushy. The mushroom inside, tender, and meaty, was complemented by the rich sauce on top. Carrots were an unexpected, but pleasant, addition to that sauce. We then both had their burger as a main course. Cooked to our specification, medium, it was juicy and flavorful. I’m normally a cheddar guy, but the Swiss that topped it blended marvelously with the meat. The bun was crusty and hearty. Sauteed onions on top added some kick. Oh, and their fries were crunchy, but not hard; just bursting with potatoey goodness(if potatoey is a word). They reminded me of the fries my mother would make in my childhood: crisp outside, and fluffy inside. Our split dessert was a magnificent coconut milk bread pudding. If I were to issue one minor request, it would be to please, please get your espresso machine back. We miss your cappuccino. And although we were not able to stay for the evening’s entertainment, there are two things you should know about their musical performances: first, they start at 9:30 pm on the weekends, which is perfect if, like me, you just can’t wait around until 11:00 or midnight for a band to take the stage. Second, they have only top-flight bands here. No rotten bar bands who seem as if they do it just for a goof. Whether bands who do covers or those who perform original material, you can expect a professional set of musicians up on the stage. Downtown Peekskill has no shortage of restaurants these days, but I can say without any question that in the nearly eight years I have been going to 12 Grapes, I have been able to recommend it confidently. For a Manhattan experience with Westchester prices and convenience, I can’t think of a place where you can do better.

I performed here the other night and I love this place. Can’t wait to come back and just relax. The owner really cares about the listening experience of the patrons. He did a very thorough sound check for the band and was attentive to our needs the entire night. This is one of the best places I have performed at in Westchester aside from The Hudson Room, also located in Peekskill.

I came here with my boyfriend and his family and we had an exceptional experience! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the décor, the exposed brick and the chairs were unique and comfortable. All of the food was delicious! We started off with the parmesan calamari and mediterranean flatbread and they were both excellent choices! We ate them both in about 5 minutes! We had wished there was more of the flatbread because it was so delicious with the combination of the figs, goat cheese and honey, but it did end up being enough with all of our meals coming. I ordered the mushroom ravioli which was AMAZING as everyone else said. My boyfriend and his family all thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. We were all passing forks of our dishes around the table so everyone could try everyone’s meals. After dinner my boyfriend’s mom and I ordered dessert drinks and some dessert. We got the toasted almond martini and the mudslide martini both very delicious! Along with crème brûlée and bread pudding. Very yummy! I especially want to share the great service we received. The timing of when all the drinks and food came out was perfect for us. We never felt rushed and our waitress, Nidia was amazing! She was very attentive and went out of her way to make sure we all got to taste the wine before she poured us each a glass. She was the best! We also thought it was very nice that we were asked on more than one occasion if we were enjoying our time and if everything was okay by Nidia and the owners. The entertainment was also great! We thought the musician was talented, and the volume was not so loud that we weren’t able to still have a conversation. We really enjoyed how the musician played songs from different generations to try to meet everyone’s interests and asked if anyone had any requests. We will definitely be returning soon!

The atmosphere is amazing. We were dined, wined, and highly entertained. The service was top notch. The food. Oh the food. Where do I begin. We started with parmesan crusted calamari — the tomato sauce set them off perfectly. They were very tasty. We moved on to the Thai Mussels with crusty bread. They were a bit salty, but no matter. We could not stop enjoying them whilst dipping. Well drowning our bread in the red curry sauce. Less salt and I’d move in and work for Thai Mussels. I had the mushroom ravioli as my entrée OMG! They were so good. I repeat. OMG. My husband had the shrimp ziti and he was very very happy with his meal. He enjoyed it thoroughly. We left no room for dessert, but I’m so sure it’s pretty great too. It was my husband’s birthday — Rich offered and served him the house cab sav. wow.woooow. That’s all my husband remarked. Music, atmosphere, food, service, and conversation. You can’t go wrong. We’ll be back. We really loved our evening.

As a spur of the moment, my fiancé and I decided to go out to dinner last night. We figured that we would try a nice local restaurant to dine at. That being said, 12 Grapes was at the top of our list. We recent moved to the area and every time we pass the restaurant we always say we have try that place. Well, we were very glad that we decided to try out 12 Grapes last night; it was absolutely incredible. You walk through a little doorway that opens into a large and beautiful open space. The use of exposed brick on one wall along with the remainder of the décor gave off a great atmosphere and vibe. We were were now even more excited to drink wine and dine. We started off with a cheese plate and assorted Italian meets which was great. We paired this appetizer with a nice Chianti which our sever picked out for us. I forgot to mention, Wednesdays is ladies night so my fiancé was able to get a generous pour for $ 6 and a $ 10 gourmet burger with hand cut fries. I got the braised short ribs over a bed of linguini, which was incredible. For dessert we had the chocolate cake, which was also very good. Next time I’ll be trying the bread pudding for sure. Anyway, we closed the place down, therefore we had a significant amount of time to chat with the owner and staff. Im glad we did! Everyone was so nice and personable making it feel like we’ve known each other for years rather than a couple of hours. Thank you 12 Grapes for such a great experience. We will be back soon. –GB

While 12 Grapes remains a staple in downtown Peekskill a recent visit resulted in a few«hit and misses». We found the Cajun Catfish selection to be an excellent choice — tastefully and thoroughly enjoyed. The French Onion Soup — while good — certainly needed more cheese. The Ahi Tuna entrée was a bit of a disappointment as a string was found within the meal. Based on prior visits a while back the menu has changed(although certain«favorites» thankfully remain). No doubt due to changes in the kitchen. Regardless — The restaurant remains comfortable and service couldn’t be more hospitable. The music /dining idea continues to work in this spacious venue where young local talent can be listened to and enjoyed.

Great place to relax, have a glass of wine, and enjoy a celebration of literally anything. The look, feel, and vibe of this place sets a tone of the west village. Taking you away into an ambiance of just«chill». Great food, good wine, excellent service!

Great brunch enjoyed by 3 couples who appreciate good food! Various egg dishes such as a vegetable frittata, eggs Benedict and eggs Florentine were really delicious and attractively served with fresh cantaloupe & pineapple and home fries that we all loved. I don’t know how, but we managed to save room to share a warm chocolate cake with whipped cream and were glad we did! The service was impeccable and the owner could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommended.

Great experience great food but you have to like cigarette smoke. Smoking patrons stand right outside the open doors and windows as the smoke is sucked right into the venue

I enjoyed a vegetarian dish from the appetizer menu. It was a combination of three different spreads served with warm pita bread. It’s enough for 2 – 3 people to share. I also had the goatcheese and beet salad, it was good. The entrée of choice was the Nova Scotia salmon. It was cooked to perfection and the vegetables served was simple but tasty. We sat by the French doors which set the mood with the lovely evening fresh air during dinner. The staff are friendly people and seem very happy to be there.

Went to check out a friend of a friends band and it was pretty full in here. Around 9:45 on a friday and we were able to get a round of drinks for $ 25– 3 Stellas and a glass of Chardonnay, so pretty decent. We were standing around the bar for a bit but I noticed we were in the say of the wait staff and blocking the view of some tables which I cant stand. Instead we grabbed a table by the windows so we could still talk over the music and order some apps. Kitchen was open until 11pm so we ordered two rounds of nachos and a flat bread. The flat bread was pretty damn good and the nachos were just okay – the gooey cheese reminded me of Shell statiob nacho kind, but we were all hungry so we ate it anyway. Overall it was a cool scene for the evening but I’m not planning on coming back soon. Apps were reasonable priced I guess around $ 9 – 13 each. But Ive had the same stuff at the diner and it tasted better and had a bigger helping to split amongst 6 ppl.
