We had a graduation party for 21 people this past weekend. The food was delicious– appetizers were so good– spicy meatballs(delicious!), calamari(yummy), and bruschetta that was just right! The chopped salad was simple, but elegant and flavorful. Guests had a choice of 3 entrees, salmon, chicken(both served with delicious mashed potatoes and green beans) and pasta, all of which were outstanding and got rave reviews from our guests. Vincent was able to get cupcakes from a local bakery and they were delicious. Vincent was so very helpful from the moment I first contacted him and accommodating– with setting the menu, arranging the tables, to ordering the cupcakes. The service was outstanding, Theresa and Kim were so nice and helpful before and during the party. They also made box lunches for us to take to the graduation, making these late on a Friday night to accommodate our extremely early Sat. morning departure. The sandwiches were delicious and easy to transport until we were ready to eat lunch that afternoon. We will definitely be back the next time we are in New York.

Was very surprised when I realized it is a restaurant for the motel. Very quiet and pretty divey. Staff somewhat friendly once they realized you were waiting at the door. It wasn’t awful but I’m not rushing to go back.

After eating here, I’m inspired to warn others that this restaurant sits in the parking lot of an aging motel next to a pool with plastic chairs. But who cares about ambiance if the foods good, right? That’s what I thought until I took my first bite, then I realized Ramenesque or Birdsall Café would have been much better choices. Oh and as for the view, I hope you enjoy staring out at nuclear power plants.

Great setting on the Hudson River especially as the spring sun sets. Wonderful staff and waitstaff. The food was so-so. The pre-fixe menu looked appealing. Portions were very small. Grilled pork chops were over cooked, eggplant swam in stewed tomatoes, a poor substitute for hearty marinara, the poached salmon was bland on a bed of several spinach leaves, the coffee was delicious while the cappuccino seemed to lack coffee altogether. Add ons quickly run the bill up to $ 80. Good to have the first time experience. Will probably be the last for dinner. Bathrooms are lovely. Kudos on an ethnically diverse staff.

Where to begin? Short version is beautiful view of the Hudson, lousy view of the scummy motel pool and plastic décor, mediocre food, atrocious services. On a gorgeous Saturday evening, my spouse and I decided that we would give the WSG another try. We had gone there for dinner shortly after it opened and found it wanting and overpriced. We called to make sure that an outdoor table was available and the hostess assured us that there were plenty of tables. Odd on a beautiful Saturday evening @ 7pm, but we were game. We. We’re seated at an outdoor table overlooking the mighty Hudson. We patiently waited for the waitress. When she arrived, we placed our drink and food orders. I ordered the oysters as an appetizer and a salmon Cesar salad. My spouse had linguini with pesto. The waitress returned a little while later to tell me there were only 5 oysters. I said ok. After a long wait, 4 oysters arrived along with my spouse’s salad. The oysters were fresh tasting but improperly shucked– the muscle was still attached and I had to use the little cocktail knife to pry out the oyster. Then we waited, and waited. We noticed that out table was the only table with paper instead of cloth napkins. It was weird. Maybe just a sign of the general in attentiveness of the place signified by empty blue Saratoga springs bottles on the tables? Put a flower in it or take the bottle off the(plastic) table. Entrees were ok. Overall, a frustrating experience. Dining overlooking the Hudson should be a magical experience not a dinner where you want to get the check and get out of there.

My siblings and I had a Birthday party for my dad here. The service was great. The chef did a wonderful job with the food. Everything was very fresh. The bartender Kim was so friendly and efficient. I wish I had gotten the name of our waitress because she was also very accommodating and thorough. The lunch was set up buffet style and everything was delicious. The view was beautiful. It was a little chilly, but we were able to go outside and take plenty of family photos. I totally recommend this place.

Amazing Italian food. Seafood fresh from the bay. Amazing sauces. Great service. Beautiful views overlooking Hudson. My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel here Saturday and had one of the best Italian meals we could have ever imagined! What a fantastic treat. This is absolutely worth a trip out of the city-a gem!

I’ve had several meals here and so far every one of them have been special. The burgers are topped with only fine ingredients, each one giving you a signature experience. REAL fish and chips; would make an Englishman smile. Service was friendly and prompt.
