Barbecue beef was really good, but it didn’t make up for the mediocre sides, burnt from a box kids chicken nuggets, and lack of chicken dipping sauce options. Friendly staff and clean place.

Mediocre bbq ribs. Baked potato casserole was really good though. Clean restaurant and nice staff.

I am actually EXTREMELYIMPRESSED with this place. I have spent tons of time in AUSTINTX. I expected it to just be good but not great. I ordered beef brisket, smoked turkey, Grilled chicken with a side of Mac n cheese, jalapeño charro beans, creamy coleslaw. Original BBQ sauce is delicious.

Pork sandwich is amazing with Mac and cheese. Ive also tried the pulled pork tacos, those were great as well. Brisket and smoked chicken are good. Pretty much everything I’ve had here has been good. Always love the free ice cream.

This was the first time I had ever eaten here. I put in an order on-line and went and picked it up. Usually I am disappointed by my take-out but NOTHERE. They were busy and acknowledged me right as I walked through the door. They were so courteous and friendly. Now let’s get to the food: AMAZING!!! I had the chicken and pulled pork. DELICIOUS!!! If you haven’t eaten here, GOYOUWILLNOTREGRETIT.

The Okra and coleslaw are delicious. The brisket is not sliced but crumbled. The fat is included. The turkey breast seems to be pressed turkey. The ham is dry. Overall the food will satisfy your hunger however only the sides are worth a return visit. They do have an ice cream machine that makes more of an ice milk product. Also they were out of sweetener for tea. When asked for it they said they had been out for awhile and didn’t know when they would have sweetener. Really? How far is a store? I’m sure they sell sweeteners. No, I won’t frequent Dickey’s BBQ again. The meat servings were small and not worth the price.

I ate here twice, I’m from Orlando but when I’m here I don’t hesitate to stop in for a rib plate!

I enjoyed the ribs and the sauce, and would return for the sake of convenience. Two outer pieces of the ribs were a bit tough, but most were fairly tender. This isn’t the holy grail in my book, but not bad.

The service at Dickey’s was impeccable. I was helped quickly, and not knowing about the menu, I was offered great suggestions! I ordered the BBQ Chicken with 2 sides(potato casserole and creamed spinach.). The food was delicious and hit the spot! To top it off, they have a complimentary ice cream bar, to which I gladly helped myself twice! I will definitely return!

The best customer service I have experienced in a very long time! It was 5:58, two minutes before closing on Christmas Eve and I was starving after a day of last minute Christmas shopping. When I parked I can see all the workers busy cleaning, all the chairs and tables were put up and most of the lights already off, but the open sign was still lit. But I decided not to be «that guy» and inconvenience the workers when they all are trying to get home to their families. As I was backing up, an employee came out the front door and yelled«do you want something to eat?»… I said I don’t want to be an inconvenience and I will go eat somewhere else, but she(I think Sophia was her name) insisted I come in. This was my first time at Dickey’s BBQ in the 2 months I’ve lived in Pcola. Even though they were closing they were still patient in explaining the items on their menu and even offered some of that yummy complimentary ice cream. When I got home 30 mins later and tasted the food it was unbelievable! I highly recommend the pulled pork and the spicy sausage sandwich… The combination of flavors is unreal! Thank you Dickey’s! You now have a customer for life… Other restaurants take note!

This place is a very good BBQ spot right off I-10. It feels like the BBQ version of Chipotle because everything looks fresh and they put your meal together right in front of you! The portions are so huge I ended up ordering a child’s portion. I got the brisket and it was soooo tender. The bun was fresh and the Mac and cheese was pretty tasty. Great place for a cheap quick great meal! Thanks Pensacola.

We went there last night it was alright but I had better. I purchased the 3 meat I wanted ribs, sausage, chicken but they did not have any chicken was sold out. The sides were first Mac & cheese and okra. But when I seen them getting the Mac&cheese from a pot wrapped in plastic bag I changed my mind. I decided then to get fries and okra. The portion was not big enough for the price we spent. Should have went to Sonny’s barbeque. It was my first time and my last.

The sliced brisket here is amazing. We love Dickey’s. We had actually planned eating elsewhere but that was before we realized a Dickey’s was close. We certainly weren’t disappointed. We love the smoked brisket and their sweet BBQ sauce. For sides we had the baked beans and coleslaw. Again, we ween’t disappointed. Yummy. Employees were super efficient and super friendly. The food is just about as good as it gets. This place definitely deserves 5 stars. definitely.

So I come to this location at least 1 time a week either a Friday or Sunday and sometimes both. I will first say the pulled pork is my favorite that I get every time. I obviously come here for the food and not the service or organization of this restaurant. First of all, don’t be in a hurry when you come especially if it’s during normal food times such as lunch. The whole flow of the ordering process is broken. They consistently have a bottle neck in the ordering process due to you having to place the order with the«meat» person. That person should only be focusing on getting the meat on the trays since they weigh every morsel(which is weird too) and not taking the initial order. They always look stressed and are always sweating and the people in line are not too happy either. They need to have someone else take the initial order to allow the«meat» person to focus on getting the orders out faster. Secondly, there is hardly ever a manager seen working. Some of the employees are lost puppies with the initiative of a snail. An example, today I watched employee«Alexis» be informed by an older customer that the tea was not sweet. My first thought, this has happened to me here at least 3 – 4 times. They need to get some training to the employees as to how much sugar too add EVERYTIME. Consistency is key. Anyways, Alexis was told the tea was not sweet and another customer agreed. She(Alexis) tries the tea herself and I over hear her saying to another co worker«it’s good enough!» Well no it’s not when you have customers pouring your tea out and getting soda or water. It’s wasteful when all you have to do is add some sugar which was warranted. This like I said has personally happened to me on 3 – 4 different visits. Then another quirk is, if you need to place a to-go order you have to go back and stand in line again. They need to work this process out. Today I saw one guy say he was just going to go to Sonny’s drive thru cause it’s faster. It is simple enough to place a simple to-go with the cashier and let them fix it as they can while you are eating and then bring it to your table. Simple option in my opinion especially when you have kids, who wants to stand in the slow as sand line again? Not me! Don’t get my post wrong, I like the food. It’s the rest of the process/experience that needs some attention by management. Otherwise they will not make it at their price per plate.

Find another spot for lunch! The employees here are going to kill someone. We arrived at 11 when they opened. They should’ve kept the doors locked. I ordered a big bbq sandwich — the meat was COLD. The bbq scooped over the sandwich was lukewarm. The guy at the counter had ZERO personality. The beans were warm. The fries were hot, simply because they just deep fried them! Jennifer at the register made a comment about the prices going back up almost a dollar. After paying the higher price, we moved to the fountain soda machine. It took 5 minutes to get a couple spoonfuls of ice. This is a Coke account and you’ve recently opened! Call Coke and have them fix it! It’s part of the service agreement! They don’t want their logo /name associated w this mess! After swallowing the cold meal, there was an ice cream machine w free ice cream. Until we tried the lever — milk mixture poured out. The machine was on hibernate and had not frozen the mix! As we watched the machine, it finally kicked into ‘freezing’ mode and a fan blew a nauseating smell of soured mix. Not cleaned lately /properly? Then we wondered how long the mixture stayed in the machine. The machine started dripping mix onto the counter below the machine. An employee walked by as I verbalized my concerns — zero reaction /response! So disappointing!

Yes! What a nice surprise finding this little gem was. Great food. I had the rib plate with Mac and cheese(recommended by the chef and definitely on point!) and onion tanglers. The ribs did, in fact, fall off the bone. The combination of the onion tanglers and Mac and cheese might just become what I request for my last meal — so delicious! Bonus: you get an ice cream cone with your meal.

Great food! Great prices! Great employees! We pulled into Pensacola and looked at ratings on Unilocal.Saw this place and thought we would try it! The cost for a family of 5 was great! We asked one of the employees what is good and he gave us a rundown of the menu, extremely helpful! The food was great… and free ice cream cone at the end… we will be going back before we leave.

Good food, but their menu is really distracting and hard to read! But if you make it through the menu, there is free Ice Cream.

Average food. Not enough seating. We got a coupon for buy 1 meat plate get 2nd meat plate free. Ribs don’t count. They’re not meat? Not impressed. Got fed but also got disappointed.

I visited this new BBQ restaurant for the first time tonight. They’re in a great, convenient spot. Being new, it’s popular and clean, with a nice atmosphere and music playing quietly overhead. However, tonight was fairly slow(the only person in line and maybe 15 people in restaurant). Upon walking in, a little bit of confusion sets in for the first time guest. I was greeted by a nice fellow who told me about the nights special«pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides and a drink» which I happily ordered. Then I stood there looking at him and down a long walkway to the cash register(think Moe’s, Subway, etc without the sneeze guards). After a few moments I walked to the cash register to pay while the fellow fixed my meal. Then I was told that he’d take my full order(he didn’t ask for my two sides) and was directed back to him. So I went back and stood there. Again. A nice young woman asked me if this was a «special» to which I replied«yes.» Then she asked if I wanted any sides, to which I replied, «Isn’t that what makes it a special?» I was slightly confused and I think she might have been as well. Fast forward to a minute later and I was taking my paper covered metal tray with my pulled pork sandwich, macaroni and cheese, and potato salad to my table. They have good sweet tea, which is a must for any true southerner. They also have free ice cream with every meal, extra bonus. My sandwich is big and the meat was flavorful and moist. I enjoyed it. There were pickles and onions on the sandwich. Unfortunately, the powerful onions detracted from the flavor of the meat. The mac and cheese and potato salad were nothing to write home about. The sides seemed«cafeteria-ish» if I’m being honest. I’m eating nibbling on them while writing this review to change my mind, and it’s not happening. Overall, I give the food and atmosphere 4 stars. The staff should be a little more welcoming and understand that new people have no idea what to do when they walk in. It’s just confusing if you’re up there alone. I’ve had better BBQ in Pensacola(Arlene Williams) but this is a much better location and will appeal to a lot of people. Give it a try and see what you think. Now, I’m off to get some ice cream!
