Alamo Steakhouse

Im writing a neutral review. I had my mind set for this but it was impossible to find and get to this location. Maps took us to an overlook ABOVE the restaurant and we could not find a path on lower ground. Some signs would be beneficial.

Here for lunch… Prices were decent $ 10 per plate.
Food was hot, fresh, and very good.
We had chopped steak and Amerillo Chicken.
Both very tasty. Service was good. No wait.

Great food and service! Tried it our first night in town based on Unilocal reviews. No reservations but use the call ahead option. Did this and only had to wait 5 – 7 minutes for table.

Food tasted good, higher priced than we expected, slow service but it was Father’s Day and our server was dealing with a very difficult customer seated next to us. We may try it again expecting the price ahead of time.

This was my first time here. Pretty sure this will be the only restaurant that I visit in Pigeon Forge from now one. The BEST steak ever & the BEST customer service. Thank You!

The service was amazing! We had the nicest waitress names Heidi.
I ordered Santa Fe chicken with a salad and baked potato. The potato was delicious! Cooked perfectly. The chicken was bleh. Not much flavor at all.
The rolls are so good! Try them with the honey butter.
My family enjoyed their food as well.
I do think this place is overpriced, though.
The she crab soup was way too thick and rather cold. It was also very fishy.
I’d recommend ordering beef/​steak here. It seems to be cooked a bit better.
Over all, a pretty good place to stop for a quiet and filling meal.

Wow! What a great place! The food there is amazing and the cooks know what they’re doing! Our waiter took good care of us and gave us some great choices when we asked him what he recommended. Prices are not expensive but the service and quality food you get for that price is top notch! I will be going there again and would tell anyone looking for a good steak or burger to go there

We arrived at 8 o’clock on Saturday and we’re seated immediately. Our waitress Brittany was very friendly and gave great service. The side salad was very fresh and tasty. I had the salmon oscar and my wife had bacon wrapped shrimp. Everything was delicious and the tea was perfect. It was a little pricey but well worth it. We will definitely return.

Service was excellent. We had Felix and he was great. «The Steak» was delicious! I split it with my daughter and we both wanted more. My husband had the bourbon salmon and it was not good. Tough and old. When Felix asked why he didn’t eat it and he told him he didn’t like it, he took it off the bill which was really nice. We would go back for the steak which was 5 stars!

Very quick service and our waitress was great. I got the NY peppercorn strip and my fiancé got the burger. The reason for 4 star was that both were way over cooked. I ordered medium rare and received medium well. His burger was well done. The fries with his burger were very good though! The chili that came with my steak was definitely my favorite part of my meal and you get a good size for it being a starter.

Ate here this week while on vacation, we ate here a few years ago. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. We had the filet mignon and it was tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked. I had the mashed potatoes and my husband had the fried potatoes both were great.

We chose this restaurant by chance, WOW! The Spinach Salad with Poppyseed dressing, Stuffed Shrimp, and broccoli are a great choice! Great atmosphere and great food!

This was out desperation Hail Mary attempt at finding a place to eat after a long second day at Dollywood. Pigeon Forge was an absolute nuthouse on this day — Thursday night before one of the smaller car shows coming to town.
We were relieved to find a steakhouse of all places without a 2 hour wait! We waited 20 minutes for a table and were promptly seated in a nice backroom booth. Our waitress was extremely charming and did her best to provide us true southern hospitality.
Not in the mood for a steak, I ordered the 1 lb angus cheeseburger which was longer than a foot long sub! Ordered medium, it was perfectly executed and juicy! I always tell the waitress to run mine through the garden. The tomatoes and lettuce were crisp, full of flavor and tasty. The onions were not too obnoxiously smelly either! The burger came with fries, which were hot, crispy, well seasoned and delicious!
My wife had the teriyaki chicken which was just okay. The sauce was flavorful and not over saturated, but was overcooked a tad bit. But then again, if you’re going to a steakhouse, you order a steak or beef.
Had a good experience-​reduced a star for the chicken, but definitely one you won’t be disappointed in.

Food was amazing service was top notch couldnt ask for better. Bloody mary was delicious. Would recommend the stonehaus orange squeeze wine as well.

The large ribeye is so good you will have some to take back The baked potatoes are so being
And a sweet potato is even bigger
You may have to wait a little bit or call ahead
But we highly recommend going here at least 2x
During your visit

«The Steak» and petite filet steal the show! Everything about our meal was delicious. Almost everything was prepared perfectly.
Started the meal off with the cheesesticks, they were described on the menu as being handmade and breaded when ordered… they were warm and not oozing with cheese. They tasted more like they were handmade and made earlier in the day and just heated up when we ordered them. Moved on to the salad after that — delicious salad with nice fresh veggies. Now comes the main course. I ordered «The Steak» with mushrooms and onions. So yummy and flavorful. The bone-​in ribeye was cooked perfectly and the marinated mushrooms were full of flavor. My wife ordered the petite filet with grilled asparagus and hollandaise sauce. Her filet was super tender and cooked just the way she ordered. We would have preferred for the hollandaise to be used sparingly on the asparagus to let the tasty green stalks be the star of the show… but, they were drowning in the sauce. As ill-​prepared as this was, they still tasted great.
Ordered a chocolate cake to go… finished that delicious dessert off at the cabin and called it a night.
Alamo came highly recommended from a good friend, and we will definitely recommend it as well.

It was a slow night when my group of 6 arrived. We were hungry for a good steak and we found it at The Alamo. Heidi, our server, was incredibly nice, accommodating, and easily the best server we’ve had all week.
The house salad was surprisingly big and the caesar salad was quite tasty, but the wedge salad was a little off-​putting to me, because they put both blue cheese and Catalina dressing on it. I could’ve done without the Catalina.
Our steaks were cooked to our desired temperature and we didn’t require any steak sauce, which is a compliment to any steak chef. All six of us had various cuts of meat and all were good. They weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but they certainly filled our steak-​void at the time.
Overall, I’d go back again.

Great night! They do not take reservations but you can call ahead and they will add your name to the list, which will cut down on the wait time tremendously!
Ok on to the good stuff! Steak, steak and more steak!
They have a huge selection of all my favorite things on one menu! I am trying to do better about going to steak houses and getting salmon or tuna so I ordered the prime rib strips to start with and oh my goodness, they were amazing! For dinner i had the petite filet and it was seasoned perfectly, nothing fancy, just wonderfully yummy!
The servers are very friendly!
I will definitely go back next year!
