Food was good. View was great. Staff was good too. Wished the guy that rakes the sand wasn’t doing it while we were there because it just made the fishy smell worse while we were trying to eat. My food was good and so was my 10 year olds chicken fingers. But my husband said there wasn’t much chicken on his caesar chicken wrap. We’d come back and try again.

So far not impressed. We sat at a table more accomodating for 2 people and it was dirty, just sticky stuff. While waiting for our food a waitress comes in our area, grabs the towel to wipe tables to wipe the sole of her shoe! She placed it back in a table then a male server grabbed it to go wipe tables! We looked around, 4 girls gossiping at the hostess area and 2 talking at the back station by the computers and drink area. Isnt there a place in the back for all of this typical teen disrepect?

Not our cup of tea. Band made patrons loud. Somewhat cold on the patio and no wind buffers dropped down. 30 min wait on a Thursday at 6pm. Jambalaya was a bit too oily for the wife and ribs were nominal. Descent experience. And a second cup of coffee would have been nice.

Good food decent price. Once it became busy on a Sunday night on a holiday weekend they were not staffed for it. Otherwise an all good experience !

Dock’s is a great location and a nice set up for a lakeside restaurant. My wife found it online and we decided to try it because we were staying close by. the experience has prompted me to write my first restaurant review ever. We arrived and the staff had smiles on their faces and it seemed like it would be a great establishment. we decided to sit near the water but behind a plastic wall. this was great because it was a beautiful but windy day on lake Erie. we were there for lunch so I deciced to get a bloody mary and my wife ordered one as well. The drink was so bad I couldn’t even force it down. I’ll keep threat of the review brief. We ordered food for four. Only one meal was finished more than 50%. The best part of the two sandwiches that were ordered we’re the ruffles style chips that came with it. I don’t know how you make a bad lobster bisque but a stale bread bowl with soup that tasted like it was made a week ago is one way. The experience was awful. The location is great. The staff seems nice and they are smiling I just wonder if they know they are serving crap to customers. This would be a great place for a show like kitchen nightmares. Basically this meal was a very expensive half plate of chips for me while overlooking lake Erie.

Here’s my compliment sandwich for Dock’s Beach House: The view is amazing. It’s like if Margarita Ville plopped itself just within view of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant on the shores of Ohio’s Great Lake. You can really watch a psychedelic sunset with a tinge of nuclear fusion, gaze into your lover’s eyes and wonder what«it» all really means, ya know? The food is suspect. As in most Port Clinton establishments the only way to order the perch is fried, but you can get snow crabs. We ordered muscles, which were curiously doused in chicken stock. It was the saltiest sea food excursion of our vacation. Also, prepare for an up-charge to split dishes. The beer selection is decent. They even featured a couple local craft beers from Catawba Brewing– which the bartender could not describe apart from the color. I’d go back at sunset, order a beer and then cash out.

Great deck seating. Nice beach location. The fired perch, potatoes and vegetables are great. Service was extremely slow the two times i have been here. The last time, the restaurant was empty and service was still slow. They charge $ 4 to split dinners. They were out of bread rolls and didn’t offer to provide anything in it’s place.

Disregard the food snobs giving this place a one star. We have been here twice from out of town and have had great food and service both times. The first time was after we went to Cedar Point and we were starving. I can’t remember how much we ordered, but all of it was good. My wife had walleye, at that time they had a kobe burger which was tasty. We also had their smoked fish dip which was served just like they do down south. This time I had a burger again, wife had a crab cake and we had the smoked fish dip again. In the end it was all gone, good just like the first time. Our waitress was pretty young but she got us everything we asked for and kept our glasses full.

First time here and we stopped for lunch on a beautiful summer afternoon. Staff greeted us immediately and we got a table outside, near the entertainment. The musician was great, not too loud so that we couldn’t carry on a conversation. Our waitress was at our table within minutes of sitting down. We ordered French onion soup, it was on our table within 5 minutes. We ordered a round of drinks, served within minutes. The four of us ordered 4 different meals and all were very good. It was a great experience and look forward to bringing my family back later in the week. I have read the other reviews and hope the owner read them and made the necessary changes so that every time we visit we get the same service and quality of food.

Stopped for a late lunch during a weekday. Had great service, had a cold beer within minutes. The server was friendly and happy to work with our group of 12 and separate checks. My family and i ordered from the daily specials menu. The salad with strip steak was excellant. My son ordered a perch platter which was served with a very healthy assortment of steamed vegetables. We enjoyed the meal and the outdoor seating. . Cant wait to return.

The food is pricey, but okay. The service wasn’t the greatest, had to ask for drinks every time they were empty. The food took forty minutes before it was served and it wasn’t even busy. We were seated indoors, but I would definitely recommend sitting outside to enjoy the lake view.

Two things: 1) cool view 2) food is below average — minus the key lime pie. Now I’ll admit all I had was some chicken fingers and fries but you can still make good ones. These ones tasted like they’re frozen jobs… same thing with the fries. I mean, how hard is it to bread chicken and hand cut fries? Hell, I do that at home. Overpriced for what quality of food you get. Won’t return.

Nice view. However it’s very overpriced, especially for the area of the country. Service is always terrible ask any local and the food is a bit better than the microwave stuff you can buy at the local Dollar Store. Save your money and order a pizza and sit on the beach with your own drinks.

Food wasn’t bad, but it was overpriced. You’re paying for the lakeside view. Would be a cool place to go for drinks but I would search out some other place to eat.

My girlfriend and i were up at her family’s cottage for the weekend on the beach. I am a bit of a foodie, so I am always up to try something new and local to the area I am in. Anyways, we came here on Monday for lunch before heading home. We asked for a table outside, wait was supposed to be 25 min, no big deal. So we go to the bar, the bartender seemed to think she worked for John taffer or something, because she sure wasn’t very nice for someone who works for tips. I digress and we were seated, at literally the only table without an umbrella, on an extremely hot day. Because we couldn’t see and another table was available, we switched, after informing the hostess. It took my girlfriend going up and us asking another waitress to tell her for our waitress to figure it out. I mean, I just had a huge, bright tatoo on my arm, if you were even the slight bit cognizant of your surroundings, it would be hard to miss. So, she finally takes our order after an hour and we ask for more drinks. Our food came out great, but was brought to us by another waitress, whom we asked to get us drinks, she said she would let our waitress know. Time continued to go, we waited 45 minutes and got no drinks, so I got up and went to the bar, got them from that bartender with the great personality who even after hearing the story, charged me for the drinks, this was diet pepsi and water by the way. I then brought them back to our table to applause. Overall, there were flashes of goodness in the food. However, our waitress literally took our order, that’s it. I wonder if she expected a tip at all. Come here to drink on the beach, kinda and only if it’s your last option. My advice would be to bring a 2 liter with you if you don’t want beer.

Went there Tues afternoon because it was an amazing day out and I heard that you can drink on the beach. They do have an outside bar, but you can’t actually drink on the beach. The location is beautiful though. The food was really expensive so I went for an appetizer, Spinach Dip, which they had 86’d it. Just stuck to drinks, ordered a mojito. Ehhh, it tasted more like simple syrup because the mint had not been muddled which some of the mint was turning brown and looked like bugs. Second round of drinks was good, Pina Colada and God’s Nectar. Server did seem bothered, definitely not happy. Four drinks came out to $ 26 and change.

What a beautiful place to eat lunch on a summer day! We sat out back with a great view of the beach and Lake Erie. The location was beautiful & I also liked the ambiance of the restaurant itself. I was pretty amused that a couple of the beers were from the SF Bay Area. I ended up ordering the 21st Amendment Hell or High Watermelon. I had the perch wrap and cous-cous for lunch. It was pretty good! I will definitely stop there again next time I’m on my way home from Cedar Point and looking for one more afternoon of vacation before going home =)

I’ve ate here three times, and each time the food was terrible! The last time I ordered the chicken salad wrap, because I figured that would be pretty hard to screw up. It was really pretty gross, white and dark meat chicken and even a piece of bone. The side of couscous it came with was very good, but portion was small enough to eat in about three or four spoonful’s. They are really pricey for the quality of food that is served. On a positive note, I will say that the service was good and the view is fantastic. I might return here to have a drink, but will definitely pass on the food next time!

Location: A+ Everything else: F A good friend of mine lives 30 seconds from this spot, so we spent a lot of time here this past weekend. In summary, there’s a saying that if ‘you’(I, as a patron), don’t come back, someone else will. And that’s a shame, because this place gives me zero reason to ever come back, but will continue to do phenomenal business because of the location and sheer volume of people coming to the area in season. Friday night: Band ended at 11(Really? mid-summer??! Foolish!), but we were happy to leave due to s-l-o-w bartenders who gave the impression you were bothering them by ordering drinks! Not friendly, either. Saturday: Ate lunch, no drinks; two of us(drinking water) and the tab was $ 50! What!!! I had a small caesar salad and a kobe burger($ 14.99!!! JUST for the kobe burger!), my friend had a «regular» burger($ 8.99). I am 110% positive they were the exact same burger, mine just had gouda cheese! WAY overpriced, considering both burgers were cooked med-well, when we ordered med-rare… came on a floppy bun and with rippled chips. In addition to the salad, we had a half lb. of peel and eat shrimp. Service: Slow and inattentive. Don’t bother. Saturday night: Returned for drinks, again, RUDE and bothered bartenders! Unbelievable! Asked if there was a cocktailer available outside, since we saw staff buzzing about, but no one stopped at our table(@ 10:30 p.m.). Told yes, someone would be out. Never came. Waited. Ordered from bar, where again, I seemed to be bothering the girl.
