while the prices were good on their drinks dad and I left with a bad taste in our mouth. Right off the bat the bartender snapped at us in a smarmy tone after my father requested lottery tabs. she neglected to give the correct change out and had the nerve as we were leaving to accuse us of shorting the house $ 6. Will not be returning — a shame because we just moved to port ludlow and this seems to be the only bar nearby. Would not recommend

It’s a neighborhood place, and the only bar I ever visited during a year’s stay in the neighborhood. No hard liquor, and a friendly, low key local crowd. Food is OK. The burger is as others have advertised. A very friendly, hard-working staff. The place really caters to locals. Your change will include Susan B. Anthony dollars, which coincidentally work in the washer and dryer available in the back room. The owner lives above the bar. The staff are local gals who work pretty damn hard to take care of the patrons. There’s an outside patio and a smokers’ ghetto in a little shack. The Valley has movie nights and a host of special events throughout the year. Worth checking out.

We all had the Valley Burger, it was great, loved the way they melted the cheese, it added a lot of favor. It took a while to get our food but we had the free basket of popcorn to keep us busy. Would have given 5 stars if those delicious burgers came with fries.

Waitress was to busy smoking to check us out. Food was pretty good. Had the fish and chips, which came a half an hour before everyone else’s food, it was however delicious and my friends had the valley burger, which they enjoyed as well.

Decent burger, it just took a good hour as it was a Saturday night and the one lady was the cook, while bartending, while bussing(or, more like, without time for bussing: we were there for two hours and the table next to us was unbussed the whole time & I really wanted to put my server pants on & help out. Pros: They have a few locals on tap, it’s not all Bud & bullshit They have wine They have food Cons: Cash only Food takes forever Understaffed /Service could be better if there was someone else on with the poor lady on a Saturday night

Great Services and Great Bacon Cheeseburgers. We are having a renewal of our Wedding Vows at the Valley Tavern located at #21 Chimacum Rd. on 4:00pm on 4−5−14. The Service is provided by Rev. Chuck Russell, the Owner of the place. He is available for Weddings at the Valley Tavern and other places of your choice. Good food, Nice place and Fun minded local people, what more could we ask for. Looking forward to trying the World Famous Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburgers afterwards. Cash only to keep it simple. The price for a wedding at the Tavern is a steal. You should try it out. Your Gal will amazed If she has a sense of humor and adventure. The Burgers are recommended, but optional of course. A Romantic Sea Voyage(Wa. State ferry) to get here if you are coming from the Mainland. You can register to Vote here and Laundry services are available too. Now thats a full Service Tavern!

Try the valley burger. What makes this burger different is the amount of cheddar cheese is insane. Along with the fact they cook it on a broiler! No fries just a good olé bag of ruffles. Add bacon and play some pull tabs

Good hometown bar. Definitely a local spot with friendly locals and bartender. I wasn’t a huge fan of the famous burger. They have a good selection of beer, a pool table, big screen with a wii hookup, and free popcorn. Overall a good place to have a beer and chat with the locals.

Order: The World Famous Valley Burger Burger Layout: Bun, Cheese, Onions, Jalapeños, Burger, Pickles, Sauce, Bun Cost: $ 8.00 Fries: You can have chips, or you can go to bed. Seeing the«World Famous Valley Burger» on a menu, my first question is the obvious one, «What makes the Valley Burger world famous?» While the answer, that because a lot of guys who are in the Navy get it and tell others about it around the world, is hilarious in its stupidity, there is nothing funny or stupid about this burger. It is easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. This burger is far from standard and I attribute it to the cooking method. No griddling, grilling, or charbroiling here, this baby is plain old broiled. They slap a big fresh ½ pound patty in the broiler and let it start to cook. They flip it to cook some more and then add jalapeños and onions on top. Give them a moment and they load grated Tillamook cheddar to the top. Once it’s melted they add a second layer or cheese and toast the bun. Take it all out, add a couple pickles, their secret sauce and dish it up next to a bag of ruffles. Cutting into the burger you can see the fantastic quality of the meat used in the burger. Well done, but still loaded with the juiciness you’re looking for. Additionally, you see some of the cooked onions and jalapeños drop out from under their big ol’ pile of scrumptious gooey melted cheese. It all stacks up perfectly and is tied together with their secret sauce. It has some kick to it and reminds me of the spicy ketchup served at Hudson’s Hamburgers over in Coeur D’Alene, ID — juicy enough to add to the burger, but spicy enough to not taste like plain ketchup. While their reason for calling it world famous might not pass muster with me, they have been making this beautiful sandwich for 20 years. It’s not actually world famous, but it deserves to be. 5⁄5
