Had another excellent dinner tonight! I’ve been here several times over the last couple years when I’m in town visiting my family from Washington DC. The food here is on par with the big city! The sweet potato chips have a cult following with my friends, and I can highly recommend the salmon, create your own salad, and«kitchen sink» pizza. The owner takes a personal interest in the wine list — try a flight of the best four of whites, reds, or sweets to find your favorite. Highly recommend this place!

Unusual atmosphere and menu. Food and service were both outstanding! The yellowfin tuna was perfect. Located in a very walkable area. Will be back.

So, apparently my husband and I are the only ones that didn’t know about this place from our family. They’ve been holding back. What an absolutely lovely atmosphere and restaurant. We came here for dinner last night with a party of 10. I would suggest if possible, try to get seating in the upstairs level. It overlooks the water, and the view is superb. We sat in the main level downstairs, which was also very nice as it is a very historic building. Very cozy atmosphere which made for a lovely evening. The menu has options ranging from higher price lamb chops to a moderately priced black bean burger. Our party of 10 ordered a vast array from the menu. No one was disappointed. The dill pickle soup is one of their standards, and what they are known for. Unfortunately because I’m gluten free I couldn’t eat it, but everyone raved about it. My husband had the 7 bean soup which he said was very good, and the black bean burger. Bury were enjoyable. I had the halibut. While it was one of the pricier here things on the menu, as would be expected, it was a very good size portion and cooked very well. The waitress was very accommodating to my questions for gluten-free needs and was very, very accommodating to the entire table in general. Definitely we will return, either as a group, or just for a romantic dinner for hubby and I. I highly recommend the Vintage Tavern. One other thing, they offered a wine flight! While I n familiar with beer flights, it was nice to see a flight for us wine drinkers!

Really great food although be cautious when letting them know of a food allergie that they actually listen to you. Prices are higher then I feel they should .I feel your paying more for the décor of the place then the food. I have to say thou it was still a nice dinner there.

This place is one of the best restaurants in Port Huron in my opinion. The service is great and the food is fantastic, also they go above and beyond to accommodate their customers. The upstairs patio is beautiful and they also have private rooms for special events.

What an excellent place to eat at. I was in town for the weekend for a family wedding and this place was recommend. The atmosphere was great and we are on the upstairs patio. The service was friendly and prompt and the food was excellent. We had a party of 8 and everyone ordered something different and everyone loves their meals. One of the owners stopped by our table to see how we were doing — not something we are used to dining in California. What a nice friendly atmosphere! I would highly recommend dining here.

Even though we were here at lunch time in the dead of winter and the deck didn’t appear to be open, we were attracted to the Vintage Tavern with the promise of good views. We didn’t get to see the view, but we did have a wonderful lunch! The bloody Marys are deeelicious! The dill pickle soup is quite tasty. I had the Angry Shrimp Tapas. If you like spicy, you won’t be disappointed. Except I should have asked for a piece of bread to sop up the sauce. Hubby had the special chicken divan and really liked it(despite not being a fan of curry). Even the garden salad was good… a feat for mid-February in Michigan. Looking forward to my next trip to PH!

One of my favorite spots in the City. The upstairs bar has a great view of the water. Food and drinks are excellent. I’ve enjoyed the dill pickle soup, breaded fried asparagus, vegetarian rice bowl, and cajun chicken tortellini. The build your own salad is a great lunch option. Portions are on the smaller side, but it’s the right amount of food. You leave feeling satisfied and not overly stuffed. The wine flight is fun for happy hour with 4 different wines, choice of all white, all red, or mixed. Service has always been friendly.

What can I say: I wanted this place to be great — the location was fantastic and we enjoyed the rooftop view. Service was friendly. But the food — it was just kinda weird and difficult to eat. I tried the dill pickle soup because hey, you’ll never see that again. It was a mild cream soup with minced dill pickles in it — kinda one-note like you would imagine dill pickle soup to be. Could have used some gruyère or maybe fresh corn. But something to tell your friends about. My friend ordered the halibut and the presentation was great, but the dish was off-putting to say the least. Who douses fish in a cheese sauce? I tried a bite and couldn’t get it down — there was something really strange and strong-tasting in it, like burnt medicine-tasting herbs. I had the pretzel-encrusted walleye and it just did not taste good. The crust had an artificial, almost graham cracker-sweet taste like crumbs from my kid’s car seat, and the polenta underneath was actually done well but was cheesy and overpowered everything. The pickled onions or whatever they were tasted chemically. It was just too much work to eat.

Went here for dinner with my wife. We sat in the upstairs bar area. I was very impressed with the building, but it’s a hike up the stairs to the 3rd floor so wouldn’t recommend bringing the grandparents! Food and service was excellent but if your getting drinks and dessert be prepared for a hefty bill. Not somewhere I would go on a regular basis because of price but other than that I have nothing but good things to say about the vintage

Atmosphere = A+ Food = B Waitress = A+ *the reason for the B on food was the poor tasting coleslaw. I did like the raw burger and appreciate that healthy option.

Great local restaurant. Had the rib eye. Well cooked and very tinder. The waitress was extremely helpful and knowledgable. Ambiance is quiet and easy to have an intimate or business discussion in. Trying dessert they say it’s made here. Wow banana bread pudding. Worth the trip. I will be back.

Nice atmosphere. Great beer and wine options. Some food is strangely put together and overpriced. I recommend the salmon spread and seared tuna entrée. I will be back for that. Wendy is a great server!

Was in town for the«river walk» dedication, very nice that the south end is still getting some upgrades. I highly recommend you venture down for a stroll, very picturesque. And we needed a decent place to have lunch. Well as nice as Port Huron is over all, unfortunately they do lack in the restaurant selection area. The Vintage Tavern has many of the right elements. Very clean and snazy décor. Decent menu, prices are not to far off the scale,(for the area a tad high) but the clientele they are after seems spot on. Service was decent to good. We sat on the roof top/patio, this is the spot folks, beautiful views of the marina and some decent views of the area in general. The lower area was completely empty, all the customers choose the patio, with good reason, the weather was perfect and it happened to be on a Friday afternoon. I am a drinker, so were the people I was with, so we drank. The beer selection was adequate and the prices on beer was fine. I even powered down a few cocktails, decent pour, and at a moderate price. Now for the food. We all had something different, I dabbled in a few of the starters, and even had a bite or two of others main courses. Everything came out very fresh, hot and presented well. Portions were on the medium size, and the flavor was there. Not incredible, but good. I had the seared tuna, was very sketchy, but turns out it was spot on. They even provided me with chop sticks when I asked for them.(you might be surprised how few places have them) It wants to be an upscale pub style eatery, it has everything but the upscale flavor, close, but no cigar. However, Port Huron is well, sorry, Port Huron, no offense, not a lot of choices, yet. Maybe some folks will see the opportunity of this southern area potential and contribute to the revitalization effort? I did see these«folks» at the Tavern so who knows.

Ya wanna hear a Cinderella Story? Too bad, here it is. Been on the road from Joliet(home), working through mid MI. Last night(not tonight), put me in bed 2 hour late, with no dinner, a crappy hotel, and pulled over to boot. Not a good one for MI. I tell you that, to tell you this. Pulled into Port Huron today, beat and hungry. Looked on Unilocal,to find something good, this place came up. Showed up about 9:30, to a busy place, nice atmosphere, comfy place. No spots at the bar, ashame, I like a bar seat, anyway, ordered a beer, got it, asked for a menu, and was told, «here you go, kitchen is closing, it’s down to burgers, and brie». Nicer than that, but close enough. Told Her I’m thinking I’m going to have to leave and find dinner, burger ain’t it. She said, «gimme your order I’ll see what I can do».(I’m bad, she was so much nicer than I’m sounding. beer.) Told her I saw the the pig wings, and the beef tips, that sounded good,(the guy with me had the same) so 4 whole meals, already off the menu for the night. Kathy said«I’ll see what he says». Bout 10 minutes later a fresh beer shows up, and she says dinner will be in a few. ITWASDELICIOUS!!! All 8 courses, served perfect, hot, and with a smile. Not even kidding. Jeff the owner came out from the kitchen to make sure we were happy. I honestly couldn’t give these guys a higher rating. Oh, asked for some desert to go, left with a marscipone(so bad even spell check can’t fix it) cheese, lemon cake raspberry drizzle cake(basically raspberry tira mi su), and a peanut butter cup cake, that both are actually still delicious, but won’t be much past this post. Check em’ out, 2 thumbs up for sure.

I am almost tentative about writing a review because I am heavily biased. I was really hoping to grab some gross roadie food on the way home to Canada, but it was late and there wasn’t really anything open. So we had to «settle» for this upscale brewpub. Service was very very friendly and the atmosphere is really nice. Sort of upscale pubbish. I had the pork wings, which were pretty good, but not mind-blowing. I went for a healthy side of asparagus and was immediately regretful. Should have gone for the much more filling fries. All in all, it was a good experience, just not the one I was looking for. So if you’re looking for a sort of fancy night out, this is your spot. If you’re looking for a down and dirty place just off the highway that deep fries everything, you’re out of luck. Big parking lot across the street.

I came here yesterday afternoon to write my final paper for a class I am finishing up. Between the time I arrived and the time I stepped out the door was about 5 hours, a Brie appetizer(not so good, but good looking), a pizza appetizer(really good, not so good looking), lobster bisque(very good, very good looking), an array of wines(a decent chardonnay-a delicious reisling-a delicious cranberry red that I ended up buying a bottle of to take home), and a beer(light colored– tasted like a tamale). The whole duration of my sit the service was great, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Although around lunch was the absolute best time to stop in. Im definitely going back for their bisque sometime soon!
