Love the craft beers and Asian brussel sprout appetizer. A fun lively place to meet up with friends.

Quite an improvement from Quay Street. The bar area was very clean(caps on all liquor bottles and each glass cleaned prior to serving). The bartender was amazing. She was also a great supporter of the brewery and we ended up leaving only to return later with additional people. The bathrooms are the only downfall… But they were clean just ratty and falling apart. We will be back for sure because the customer service and the beer.

Great beers with an evolving menu. We have tried to support this place since they took over Quay Street Brewing. The food is always good with a good variety for most lunches and dinners. The beer is worth the visit alone. Many other Michigan beers on tap besides the very worthy brews from in-house. Only«complaints»: Always have to ask for kids menus even when it is obvious that I have two 4 year old girls with me. Kids menu pricing can be stiff for what they get. Some of the wait staff can be very rattled when they are busy while others are way too chilled out to cover many tables. Hit and Miss there. Root beer does not include any refills.

We both loved the Lake Erie perch. Crispy and not greasy. Watching the many boats cruise by on the harbor was very entertaining. The home brewed root beer was out of the world. Can’t wait to go back.

The scenery is great. We sat on the upstairs patio and watched the boats. We were starving! We were seating on the upstairs patio at our request. We had no umbrella. That was fine, for a bit. But then it got too hot. In an hour and a half, my very fair skin burned. No biggie. But the service was painfully slow. Two servers asked to take our drink order. But it took over ten minutes to fill our order. When she brought our drinks, I told her we were ready to order. She said she just needed to drop off the root beer and she’s be back in a sec. It was actually closer to another ten minutes. We ordered, and it took 25 minutes minimum to get our food. I ordered the bruschetta chicken sandwich. It had no flavor. I flagged down our server and told her I think they forgot the pesto. She said the pesto is a mix. I showed her there was no mix. It was straight tomatoes. I asked for balsamic vinegar, she brought it. It greatly improved the flavor. My husband asked for the bill. It arrived right away, and she took it from our table immediately after I finished signing it! That part of the service was fast. I guess money motivates her.

We had been here in the past when it was Quay St. It was nice, but it felt like it was trying to be fancier that it needed to. So when we heard it had changed to Thumb Coast we were excited to try it out! We stopped in and had beers with a friend and all the beers were great! Homemade Root Beer was very tasty, and they have Root Beer Floats too! very nice on a hot summer day! The day we went the CC Oaked TrainBridge was released and The Hubs really enjoyed it!!! This place has a great patio right on the Black River. Very nice! Can’t wait to stop again and get a growler!

Went in at about 11:30 on Saturday and sat at the bar. It took awhile to get drinks because it seemed there was only one bartender and the wait staff wasn’t allowed to get drinks(I overheard them say this to a few other ppl). But once she finally came over we each ordered a flight which was amazing. Tired 6 of their brews and they were all wonderful. I thought the flight was well priced for the amount of beer you get. Had we gotten there a little earlier, I would have definitely tried more!

This is a hidden gem in Port Huron. We travel back and forth to Canada several times a summer and this has become a regular dinner stop. Their beer is decent; it’s a microbrewery still trying to get its sea legs and establish a distinct taste, but overall I like what I’ve had. Their menu is solid and consistently improving. Each time I go, there are new items and there’s a wide selection. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the restaurant is right on the water. Great ambiance.

The place WASNOT full. Maybe you shouldn’t make excuses and train your staff. Also, very, very tacky to walk in and see food and cigarettes all over the desk at the door.

My boyfriend, his mother, and I went here on Friday May 29, 2015 for lunch. We sat on the patio– upper level– and later moved inside as it began to rain. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the black bean burger w/salad and blue cheese dressing– it was very good. The others had the fish and chips and the Cuban w/salad and ranch dressing. Everyone was pleased with their choices. I would most definitely return when back in the Port.

Great location for a nice dinner on the deck. We ordered the Sprouts appetizer and loved it. Great Asian ginger sauce. Followed that with the Cuban sandwich… pork was still nice and moist… tasty! Wife had fish and chips and kid had the Reuben. Both very good. I had the Red ale and wife had the pale ale. Very good beers! All at a very fair price. Service was great too. Try it!

I loved the outdoor patio and watching the boats go down the river. This place has a great atmosphere and the food was excellent! I ordered the cashew white fish with the potato salad and mixed veggies as sides and everything was fantastic!

Very impressed! Beer is smoother than any microbrewery I’ve been to. Menu has unique twists. Smelt appetizer, burger with Tavern Sauce, and Muffaletta exceeded expectations.

Excellent selection of beers. Something for everyone. I recommend the brussel sprouts for an appetizer. Entrees were not that good. I don’t recommend the perch or walleye. Great service, ample parking and right on the water.

My husband and I have been here three times, twice during their remodeling process, once since the completion. The restaurant is beautiful and the menu has been significantly slimmed down, not many options, but what we have had has been very good. On our last visit I ordered a beer flight and told our server, Jesse, to choose for me noting that I don’t like IPA’s. The beers were very good as was our meal. We enjoyed the Brussel sprout appatizer, I ordered the pickerel and my husband the muffaletta sandwich. All delicious!

We were on a drive up the thumb for an adventure on the weekend and ended up stopping here for lunch. Their beer selection was pretty good minus that they did not have any cider on tap. We got their wonton starters that were pretty good but nothing to scream about. The burgers were cooked to perfection and tasty.

Stopped by today on the way back from the float down. Beer flight was great and super cheap. I highly recommend this as a liquid starter. Sausage and waffle was good. Could have used more spice. We got the pulled chicken and bacon salad and lamb burger. Lamb burger had a feta, green olive topinade. And the salad was great, simple but yummy. Service was a little slow, but we weren’t really in a hurry so it wasn’t a problem. It was hard to figure out when we arrived if we were going up stairs or down and there wasn’t a hostess. A few minor areas to improve but food and beer was good. Great view on the river!
