Food: A Service: B Atmosphere: B E&B Bean is wonderful for groups with dietary restricted & «normal» ice cream goers! They continuously feature a rotating dairy free ice cream option as well as two other rotating flavors(they always have three staples: vanilla, chocolate, and tart). Their topping selection is awesome! They feature df/gf cookie dough, as well as crushed chocolate cookies from Petunias, and so much more! Tons of dairy free, gluten free options. This place was great, totally would return!

The cutest little fro-yo joint! They’ve got the most adorable décor — a big polar bear on one wall, a 3-D wall of different fro-yo cones. My son really liked the«tart» flavor. Kid friendly place Recommendation: This place is a go.

Luckily the manager was nice, but the yogurt at Eb & Bean was icy instead of creamy and smooth. It’s pretty hard to mess up a froyo mix, but we surely came on an off day cause it was really not dreamy at all … My wife wasn’t impressed with her Vanilla combination(giving it 1 star) while my Vanilla Frozen Yogurt with Peanut Butter Magic Shell and Chocolate Chips sounded cooler when ordering that it was eating. We got to meet the manager because, after paying, we noticed the bill was large. It was due to the server behind the counter charging us for 3 yogurts instead of 2. The manager quickly took care of the refund and apologized. Thanks. Eb & Bean lived down to the exact definition of 2-stars on Unilocal: I’ve had better … and so have you … in Portland and beyond.

Caramel earl gray with GF cookie dough on top just fulfilled all my wildest dreams about what a frozen yogurt place could be. This is where we LIVE, Portland… where you can stumble into a place full of care and creativity such as this. They are clearly intentional about everything they’re putting into the yogurt and toppings. Forget the artificial flavors of a typical froyo place and come here for something that will make you feel great and satisfy your tastebuds’ curiosity. I’ll be back, a lot!

Yummy vegan frozen yogurt options with great toppings. There are always new flavors and the service is always kind and prompt. I love this place and will definitely return!

I scream, you scream. Ya’ll better scream for Ice cream. All in all you either love it or hate it. The soft serve ice cream is decent. Right in the middle, no complaints but at the same time nothing to write home about. Not your typical«fro-yo» place which is nice,(we are in Portland) so reinventing the wheel is pretty normal around here. When you walk in, you stand in line and wait until the person behind the counter asks what you would like to try(very Salt and Straw feel). They have one non dairy option that they make from almond milk which is nice. And other normal flavors with a few that rotate. Toppings are also distributed by the staff(portion control is good people). They have everything from cookie dough and gummy bears to Paleo treats. Wait staff is very nice, patient and talkative.

I used to like E&B but now I love them. They have really upped their vegan game since opening and have added so many vegan toppings. Vegan cookie dough? Vegan chocolate and peanut butter Magic Shell? Yes, please! I love the vegan hazelnut soft serve. Today, I had the vegan maple almond. The flavors and texture of the soft serve is perfect. Eb & Bean is where it’s at!

Sometimes, less choice is better and this cute joint affirms it. While 5 simple yogurt flavors may not seem democratic enough in this age, I love the texture and taste of their product. Oh, did I mention they have more than 5 toppings though? Ah, yogurt will never be the same to thee.

Not a fan of the«full service» yogurt but this place is all right. The service is slightly snooty but not outwardly rude. I do like their vegan offerings. I’d rather put together my own yogurt bowl though. It’s a huge part of the fun of going to a frozen yogurt shop.

This is not frozen yogurt. This is a complete hipster sham of frozen yogurt. You can’t serve yourself, and the toppings are a dollar for the first topping and 50¢ for additional toppings AND they dish it for you. That’s not frozen yogurt. Plus, the portions are super small and not worth the 4 plus dollars you pay. If you like to have control over what your frozen yogurt creations are, don’t waste your time here. The vibe is cute, and the flavors look interesting. But, I will not waste my time and money at a place like this.

Eb and Bean is the most gourmet, foodie, and unique fro yo shop I have ever been to and would continue going on a regular basis if I lived in Portland. Usually I dislike fro yo shops because they do not have very unique toppings and the fro yo flavors are too normal. With flavors like cold brew pecan and lemon blueberry that change monthly and toppings such as almond toffee crumbles, whipped cream, cold brew bourbon drizzle, coconut milk caramel, and marionberry, the shop amazed me with its unique, local, and fresh toppings. I ordered a cold brew pecan with almond toffee crumbles, fudge, and cookie dough, which was perfect. The pecan fro yo tasted like coffee, and being a coffee addict, I was very pleased. The other toppings added the perfect amount of sweetness and crunchy and chewy textures in addition to the smooth fro yo texture. The ambiance is casual and fun, and a large communal table occupies the center of the room with smaller tables scattered around. The pastel color theme makes the shop seem happier and more fun, so in combination with the high quality fro yo and toppings, I will definitely go back and recommend this to everyone who goes to Portland.

Delicious flavors and fantastic toppings. The«Newtella» is SOGOOD and dairy-free. Staff is usually cool, calm & collected when there’s a large line out the door and offer samples of the new flavors. I hope they open another location, this place is great!

I am not a froyo connosieur. In fact, I really like the plain one at McDonald’s so I am definitely not one. But the flavors here are quite interesting and I love to try new things. Tried the corn(tastes strongly of corn — and even though I love corn, I actually didn’t see it working in the ice cream), coconut chocolate cream(very good for an almond milk froyo — really couldn’t distinguish it from the normal ones), and honey hazelnut. Ended up being a coin toss between coconut chocolate and honey hazelnut… so I ended up doing honey hazelnut. The important thing is to absolutely ask for the Bourbon Stumptown sauce. My coworker didn’t get it but regretted it after trying mine. It’s not icky alcoholic tasting — just tastes mildly bourbon, mildly coffee, and mostly caramel. Their fresh whipped cream is also awesome. I wish I had tried more toppings. Their topping bar is impressive and everything looks delicious — especially the different flavors of cookie bits that are freshly baked.

I was so super excited about vegan fro-yo! But I am not one to just love something because it’s animal friendly… I had high hopes for this spot… I was pretty let down. First, let me say. The service was incredible. The shop is cute and I love that it’s local. Maybe I just came on a bad flavor day. My froyo was mediocre at best. I left there feeling pretty disappointed because I had anticipated a glorious frozen treat! I might try it again. Mostly to support the local vegan accessibility of frozen yogurt. But, then again, I might not.

I’m not normally a huge fan of fro-yo, but Eb & Bean is the real deal. Their ingredients are high quality and full of rich flavor… rare for fro-yo! They also have incredible topping options — think peanut butter hard shell, caramel corn, and cinnamon donuts(whaaat!!!). I ordered the salted butter caramel fro-yo with hot fudge and almost went to fat kid heaven as I was devouring it… and then I remembered that it was low fat(minus the hot fudge) #winning

This would get 5 stars from me except the seating isn’t very comfortable. It doesn’t really matter because so many people come in to get this delicious frozen yogurt and walk right out the door with their delicious prize– Set right between Petisco, and Peets, basically, this shop has magical powers to lure you in with their tasty flavors and outrageous topping offerings from hot fudge, to homemade bourbon sauce and loads of crunchy toppings. I am a chocolate purist, had it on its own and it was perfect. I noticed the coconut flavor was very popular and for dairy free choices you can’t beat it. This is a delightful alternative to Salt n Straw as its lighter and just the right texture. The ship was spotless and though décor is sparse they had a beautiful flower arrangement on the communal table. I hope Eb and Bean do well, this is a great spot to have in the neighborhood.

Very good fro-yo here. This place is popular, when my friends and I arrived the line went all the way to the door. Nice menu of flavors. I’m a fan of the ‘tart,’ but my companions ordered chocolate and cookies and cream, and everyone was very happy. Great selection of toppings, including local and natural options – I had honey, almond brittle, and candied ginger. This place does charge by the topping, so it can be expensive for folks who are fond of piling several different accoutrements on top of their yogurt. All in all, a very good experience here.

Dairy-free soft serve? Yes, please! A friend gave me a coupon to this place so I obviously had to check it out. Their vegan flavor at the time was coconut caramel and the girl let me sample it first. Flavorful, not too sweet, and a great texture(not icy). I topped mine with coconut chips, vegan caramel sauce, and marionberry compote. I wish they had more than one vegan flavor but it’s a small place and I appreciate that they even have one at all. The flavor rotates monthly which is nice. They also carry crumbled vegan treats from Petunia’s bakery as a topping option. Can’t wait to try the newest flavor! Wish they offered a vegan waffle cone.

Eb & Bean is AMAZING. I heard about this place a while back but never stopped in. Everything is locally sourced– including the toppings. Very high quality ingredients. The space has beautiful and simple décor. They also have kid tables and some neat art. I shared a small with a friend– we got half Cold Brew Pecan(the non-dairy option) and half Tart. Their flavors rotate every 3 – 4 weeks or so. Highly recommended!
