Polish Pottery Place

My wife collects Polish pottery and we have bought stuff at this store many times. The staff are super friendly and they have a really good selection and only offer the best quality items available in Polish pottery (there is a difference and you do get what you pay for). They also have some wonderful willow baskets and my wife has several of these now as well. It is just off NW 23^rd if you are walking that shopping street, it is worth a stop in.

I absolutely love visiting this shop. My husband is full-​blooded Polish and coming here feels like immersing myself in his ancestral culture.
We came this time specifically looking for the #1 thing I want to Christmas this year: a beautiful serving dish for taking foods to potlucks and parties and such. There were so many amazing options. All different sizes of dishes, different shapes, depths, patterns, with and without lids. I kept changing my mind about which dish I wanted. Just when I thought I’d decided, another dish would grab my eye.
The staffperson was amazing. She was helping many customers at once as we milled about the store. She indulged me in a conversation about my husband’s family names and their native pronounciation. I was very proud when she declared our name to be «uncorrupted» — it is spelled just as it would be in Poland. Yay!
We also purchased a gorgeous pair of earrings for a gift. They contain pressed flowers and are made in Poland.
Stuck what to buy that hard-​to-​shop-​for woman in your life? Pick her up something beautiful from this shop. I can’t wait to add to my Polish Pottery collection over time!

This is my favorite shop in Portland. For one thing, the selection is unique and varied. There are two levels; downstairs there’s a vast selection of handmade pottery, plus another room with all sorts of gifts, linens, etc. But don’t miss the upstairs! There are several rooms that have so many gift ideas (and things I wanted for myself …) that go far beyond pottery — including a terrific selection of greeting cards I never see elsewhere. You’ll want to take time to peruse it all.
Magical, full of colorful treasures … And I agree that the customer service is exceptional. Both of the young women who have helped me are lovely. I rarely write reviews, but I was in there today and came out with two «finds» that made me want to spread the word …

My wife and I were completely wowed as we entered the store. We found many beautiful pottery as well as home decorations. Polish Pottery Place is a wonderful find in the Alphabet District. With two floors, this is a special place in finding gifts for yourself and friends. Margaret and Anya are warm and friendly with exceptional customer service. As we spread the word of Polish Pottery Place we’ll return for more one of a kind pieces.

This is a lovely shop, chock full of beautiful pottery.
I know nothing about Polish Pottery and was very pleasently surprised. The Pottery appears to be handpainted and is very detailed. It comes in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and patterns. It is priced similarly to Italian Pottery.
The store is charming, a great place to shop for yourself or for a gift. The woman who was working was very nice. They do carry items other than pottery but I hardly took a look as I was so fascintated by the extensive Pottery collection.
The next time I need a special gift I will be stopping by.
