Precision Healing

I have not had a lot of massages in my life, but I have had enough to know when one is special. Diane asked the right questions, listened to the answers, then got the massage just right. I work on computers all day, so i tend to carry my tension in my neck, shoulder and back. She started with the hard work of working out the knots, then gave me the most relaxing massage I have ever experienced. Seriously, I did that thing where you snore/​snort yourself awake. Twice.
When I do talk myself into some form of exercise, it is usually either running or the elliptical. I have found lately that the connector muscles and tendons in my calves, feet and ankles have been very tight as a result. When I woke up the day after Diane’s massage, my first thought was, «Hey, my feet aren’t sore!». Totally unexpected bonus. Thanks Diane!

Dana is one of the best masseuses I have even been to. She’s great at finding the problemed areas and working out kinks you forgot you had. I no longer need to go see a chiropractor for my back. Couldn’t be happier I stumbled upon their groupon. I will continue to be a regular customer.

Okay, so I am one of the Groupon-​ers that purchased a 3 – 60 minute per session massage package and boy am I glad that I did!
I almost thought after looking at the reviews that it was too good to be true for a place to have 5 stars but after seeing Dana twice now I know why!
The place is located in one of the older victorian style buildings right across from MAC and next to the doggy boutique store. You go up the stairs and the door for the massage room is right at the top. (I accidentally walked in my first session because I didn’t realize it was a just a single room!
Both massages so far I’ve asked for more of a sports massage (deep tissue) because I am a CPT and have been reading up how important myofascial release is for growing, strengthening and developing your muscles. Dana was super friendly from the start and was very confident and her knowledge and skills. Although deep tissue massage isn’t the most comfortable, I knew that she was fixing a lot of displaced and tight muscles that I had been neglecting.
The room is clean, comfortable and she played some calming music! Also, its been so chilly (ok FREEZING) here in Portland and the bed has a bed warmer on it which was oooh so perfect for relaxing and thawing out my muscles ha!
I would definitely recommend this place out, making appointments is easy peasy online and the experience is amazing! Sad I only have one appointment left :(

Diane is magic. I have seen her twice now and plan to go many more times. She is very intuitive on where my needs are and relaxed me to a dreamy state. I definitely recommend making an appointment with Diane!

After I underwent surgery to replace a herniated disk in my neck, a friend referred me to Brandon. He is very intuitive, sensing an area is tender before I even voice it. He does a great job of doing very specific work, varying pressure as needed, and regular massages with him have become an integral part of my recovery plan.

Just finished receiving a massage from Brandon where we focused on tenderizing tissue and creating space in my shoulder/​neck region and I feel fantastic! Cannot believe it took me so long to come back and see you, Brandon. Your skills are impeccable.

Met with Dana and had a wonderful deep tissue massage. She is very intuitive and skilled at finding the areas and pressure points. She is easy to talk with and asks questions as needed. Very nice and comfortable, roomy massage rooms. Have already scheduled more sessions.

Dana delivered a perfect blend of deep tissue and muscle soothing massage. After searching for 3 months for a regular masseuse I have finally found one!

Have had 3 wonderful massages from Dana and felt better each time. She has wonderfully perceptive touch in terms of pressure, repetition and working w/​painful areas. I was relaxed after my first session, blissful after my second (really, I had to be careful driving home) and relaxed and pain free after my third. Wonderful hands and presence. I feel very, very lucky to have found her. I don’t just feel better for the rest of the day, I feel better FOR DAYS…

Brandon offers the best massages I’ve experienced in Portland. He has an intuitive touch that gets right to the areas needing being worked on and his smooth transitions to different spots allows me to relax. I feel so much better afterwards!

I cannot recommend this place and Dana more. I have been seeing Dana regularly for the past year and she has helped me overcome so many physical ailments. I first saw her for shoulder pain that was sending pain down my arm, after a our first session, my pain was gone. I continued to see her when I began training for my marathon and started to have hip and knee pain.
Dana’s extensive knowledge of anatomy and massage technique has helped me to overcome all muscular discomfort and made me able to continue training and finish my race. Dana is honestly amazing– for anyone who has left a massage feeling like you need some more– she is the person for you, she finds all the knots/​tension and makes them go away. She is more than your typical massage– she really heals the body.

Dana was able to relieve my neck pain and also gave me information about my recent knee replacement surgery. On my next visit she will work on the knee area. She knew exactly what areas to work on.

Brandon gave this creaky achy lady a couple of super effective and pain-​relieving massages. I cannot get back there soon enough. I booked my husband for Friday. He is the real deal!

I wish I lived closer so I would be able to come here more often! I booked an appointment with Diane, and it was the best decision I made this week! I told her about my poor non-​ergo setup at work, plus my long hours of sitting around and typing away, and then she got to work.
She hit everything I pointed out (worked specfically on my upper back/​shoulders as I requested), and I left the place feeling like a new person! Not sure how, but I managed to fall asleep, and when I got up, I sat up tall and straight. It was effortless!
Highly recommend Precision Healing, especially Diane. (Also, my partner met with Brandon, and he said that was one of the best massages he’s ever had.)

I saw Diana today. We talked in detail about my problem areas since a car accident and the roll my physically demanding job takes on my body. Based on my concerns she developed a plan of areas to target.
She pinpointed not only areas I knew were aching but worked others I wasn’t aware of. I won’t say I feel amazing right now. I’m always a little tender after a good deep tissue massage. But I feel so much better than I did walking in.
She also showed me some stretches to do at home to alleviate some of my tension. She was so kind and attentive in addition to being skilled. I’ll definitely be back.

update número 1:
saw Dana again for the second time. I was good for 4 days after my last session, but knots and pain started creeping back in– it’s been years of tension buildup in my body and it is going to take some work to get the muscle memory to forget I’ve been a tense mess.
knots galore; not as bad as last time, but again I left feeling so light and free from pain and tension. Dana is the real deal. I’ve never had work done that’s been so thorough and ‘correct’ (I am a massage envy escapee).
If you are tense, have chronic issues, or need a good hour of total decompression, definitely go see Dana. Well worth the money to see someone who actually knows what they are doing, and she is such a sweetheart!

Very communication oriented, very open to my needs, and interpreted my needs accurately when I didn’t have a good idea of what I myself needed. When te only complaint was that I didn’t schedule enough time, you know it’s good.

I’ve gone to Brandon for several massages and my experience has been nothing short of amazing. I’ve been working on rehabilitating a bunch of muscles that have been injured over the years (football, rugby, snowboarding, etc) and Brandon has helped me deepen my understanding of the muscles and their use.
I am thrilled to keep going back here. Big fan.

I have been to many massage therapists and as a personal trainer I am very critical when it comes to massage.
Brandon is great, very knowledgeable, and he listens. I first went to him to see if he could help rehab my back, it’s been 3 sessions so far and I’m feeling much better. I really like that he does a lot of pinpoint work and gets very specific with his massage.
