We had a great dinner. Look — it’s not the BEST pizza in providence but for a downtown dining option before catching a show at PPAC with a child, it’s the bees knees. Great, traditional Greek-style pizza. Our son has autism, and the entire staff at Saki’s was very accommodating and so helpful to us — they even let us store our leftovers there while we went to the show. We will be back next time we go to a show there.

Friendliest service! They are very nice here and it is a pleasure to patronize the. Great food. Our group had pizza, mozzarella sticks, a stuffed pizza and a salad with chicken. The chicken was fresh and not dry. Everything was well prepared and good quality.

Ok so we were here for the day in Providence on business. Unfortunately, it’s like a ghost town with an unfortunate shortage of eateries. We had not much choice for lunch so we stopped here. So how bad can a hamburger be? How about the worst mushy bun on earth that didn’t even resemble a hamburger bun and a freezer burned overcooked to death burger in between it! But wait, there’s more… The french fries were old as well and burnt and miniscule. All in all, your better off getting whatever food starbucks has to offer down the block. No doubt the food is old because of this ghost town with very few people walking the streets to frequent this place. Don’t know what the deal is with downtown Providence but it is a sad sight with sad food.

I’m shocked this place has only 2.5 stars. I can only speak for the gyro and fries and not for the other food, such as the pizza(which other Unilocal!reviewers seem to be really disappointed in), but I thought that the food was delicious when I visited about a month ago. My coworkers visit more often than I do(I’m new to the area) and love the burgers. The inside is very clean and updated, it doesn’t take long for the food to come out, and the staff is nice. I’d recommend people give this place a try based on my own one time experience and that of my coworkers.

Well I have to say. It’s not what it used to be! B4 they remodeled the pizza was wayyyyy tastier. Did not see the triangle slices(they were in back on shelf). That’s what I remember. I had a square meat lovers was tasteless. Although the crust was good there was too much of it. Hubby had Greek salad. No feta and a Wierd Itialian dressing. Also ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and got ziti. She was hoping we wouldn’t notice I guess. All in all it was a bust. We drove all the way from Seekonk for nothing memorable !!! Blah

The old man that ran the counter Saturday night August 29th2015. Really needs to treat his workers better and stop using the F bomb in front of the customers. Even maybe if he is the owner he needs to stay home and let somebody else run that place very unprofessional.

This place is amazing! For years I’ve been coming when my daughter has a dance competition at PPAC. It’s a great place for parents to unwind for a drink. The food is amazing. Hidden gem! :).

I Buy food from here almost every day, this is because I work down the street. Anyways I had to use their bathroom desperately die to mine being out of service… They didn’t let me use it because it’s for«customers only» yet I’m an extremely loyal customer. Anyways I’m not on here to bitch just about them being unloyal to their loyal customers. Their food is average but I don’t have much of choice because they are the only place around here that has an extensive menu of average food besides dunkin and Umelt down the street

This place is pretty disgusting. After visiting many times, I can tell you the food is so mediocre I don’t understand how they still survive. They charge so much for the smallest portions. The only thing I love are the cheese fries which are great for a late night snack. However, at $ 7 a pop, I am appalled. The positive thing about this place is that it is open very late.

Decent greasy, cheesy late night pizza(the kind I like). Reminds me of a smaller, thicker Brooklyn style pizza. Large, clean space with a full service second level bar. The only bad thing about this place is it’s owner. The big, balding guy behind the counter. The only times I feel uncomfortable here is when he’s here. Like now, he was so rude to a customer, they didn’t have a chance to order and left– four paying customers, gone. If that doesn’t help business, then his obvious micro-managing certainly will not nor will his nasty smokers lung hacking in the back room you can hear from the dinning area — not very appetizing. He really just ought to stay home, collect his money and let the super nice and efficient Mexican guys he has working for him run the place. After all, they treat it more like their own business than he does. Be sure to say hi to Santiago if you stop by and leave him an extra dollar in the tip jar. He’ll be the nice and smiling guy behind the counter.

It’s like a comedy show here. Haha. Can I take your order? lol. Then just forget to put it in to be cooked. Then make fun of what an a-hole you must be for asking where your order is after 25 minutes. Oh hey here’s a joke some orders are faster because they take less time! Duh no kidding. So the salad is really kicking your ass? I ask. What did you order again? We been in business for 30 years so we don’t have to be efficient.

It’s been a while since I last been here. I just had to go back. Their food is so fantastic and the service and prices are just top notch. Everything about sakis is a perfect place for a college student. The guys that work there are great and always are laughing and having a good time. When I was at McNulty I went here all the time and it was just the perfect place to go for a starving college student at 1am on a Friday night after a fun time out drinking on the town. I mean you can get a better place than sakis. If it wasn’t for sakis I would have no place to go to grab a late night snack and take it back to my dorm and munch on. Sakis food is so tasty and the prices are just perfect for a college kid looking for a late night snack. This place has provided me with some good laughs a place to eat and those college late night munchies. If you ever need a place to go for a bite to eat sakis is the Place you go everytime you heard it here from me a college student who has a sweet tooth for late night cravings

Ahh, yes — the 1am walk back to your car(uhh…if you can remember where you parked it). Passing though the misty streets and damp sidewalks one night — I felt the hankering for some caloric energy(preferably in triangular-bubbly cheese form). Sakis was there — my bright(and CLEAN) beacon of hope. The gentleman inside kept calling my «Mami»(which I may have found irritating if our transaction had lasted for longer than four minutes), and informed me that the cost of a slice was $ 2.25(kahmaahhhhnnnn, man — can’t we just call it an even TWO?). I ordered up a slice of cheese to-go. The slice was everything a late-night nom should be: a greesy, cheesy, buttery, saucy guilty pleasure. I blot-blotted the thing and hit the road. The crust was buttery delicious(the perfect crispy-to-soft consistency) and the overall slice flavorage was definitely LMDR-approved(hello — — - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, anyone?). Would I seek this place out as a destination meal? — not really. But would I seek this place out as a delicious late-night snack when out and about in the city? — ahhh yeah you’ll definitely catch me here after an evening of imbibement.

The employees were great and the fries were good, but my pizza was only 3 stars out of 5. I just got plain cheese. There was nothing wrong with it, I just didn’t love it — I like a more New York style pizza than this. Maybe some of their specialty pizzas are better.

I’m sure that if I were an undergrad at Johnson & Wales, tryna get my late-night munchies on, Sakis would be my jam(no disrespect to the school, I only mention it because the campus is across the street). However, those days are behind me, and I can’t think of much that Sakis has going for it, with the exception of it’s convenience. The main turn-off for me is how incredibly greasy their pizza is. You should not be able to make a grease-river by folding your slice; such a phenomenon is a given here. All the food certainly suffices after a long night of drinking, and is especially tempting given how late it stays open… so if mediocrity is what you’re craving, by all means, come here. Otherwise, I’d look elsewhere.

I have been going to this establishment for over 20yrs. It’s a great place to stop in for a slice or salad. The choice of slices and stuffed pizza are very good and fresh. here are also other menu items but have not tired them. Great stop for student’s, family, everyone. It does not have that hangout atmosphere, not you can sit and read the newspaper if you wish. Great improvements to the new Sakis

Bottom line, the pizza here is horrendous. No, seriously, it should be banned. BUT, it is so darn cheap, it is almost irresistible. They regularly run a $ 5 lunch special which entitles you to(1) pint of Narragansett lager and(2) slices of their disgusting pizza. You will eat it out of sheer economic value. Service is always friendly and the upstairs bar is a great place to grab a mid-day lager.

Fantastic addition to the downtown lunch scene. It’s a on the border between deli/lunch counter and full restaurant. They’ve got a big variety of sandwiches, pizza, wraps, and bar food all for around $ 10. You order at the counter, take a seat, and your food will be brought over when it’s ready. It’s very spacious and clean — a much nicer atmosphere to spend lunch than other hole in the wall pizza/sub shops. There’s a full bar upstars! Sometimes they have a burger special that includes a can of Narragansett for less than $ 10! If you can’t booze it up, you can’t go wrong with a huge greek salad, or a cheeseburger & fries platter for $ 6. The big salads are much better quality than the salads at Au Bön Pain and for the same price. I think it’s funny that a few doors down, Pizza Queen offers a pizza slice special for like $ 4.15 while Sak’s has the same one for $ 4. The only slice I tried was cheese, and I am not a fan. They have a lot of other pizzas, including stuffed, that you can get by the slice that look tempting. They also offer some grab and go pastries such as spanikopita, hot dog wrapped in a croissant bun, meat pies, etc. I don’t know what to call those types of snacks should be called but I always wish there was more of it around. Sometimes you don’t want a huge meal, but a little savory snack is perfect. I get stuff like that at Chinese/Vietnamese bakeries all the time so I’m glad Sak’s has it if I need it.
