Fun place to sit on the patio and people watch. Delicious food — decent portion sizes. Very busy place but service was reasonable. Would love to go back and try something else off the menu!

Came here with a group of four in the summer after a coworker raved about it. The outdoor seating was cute, but not as cute as patio. The staff wasn’t super friendly to us, but seemed to be thrilled to see other people. Drinks and food took a while… a long while. None of us loved our meals, half can’t even remember what they got. I got the scallops. They were just fine. Bubula’s certainly wasn’t bad but perhaps with a friendlier staff the food would have tasted better.

Probably more of a 3.5 star rating. Came here with a large group, and sat at the bar for dinner. The food was surprisingly good, given the dated décor of the restaurant. I got the filet duo w/bourbon sauce, which was quite delicious. I think the $ 32 was a little much for the dish, but it was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The bartender had a very heavy hand with my wine, so that was greatly appreciated.

First and only time I will eat here. Over priced food. Burger was bland, no seasoning. Waitress(Tina) was very rude. She disappeared for over 15 minutes to go outside and take pictures of the sun. Her attitude was a shock and lack of caring was not appreciated. Go to Front Street instead. A hundred times better for less money.

Meh! I really don’t give bad reviews I’m a extremely positive person… But unfortunately this place was just not good! Beautiful day in P Town the weather was great and this place looked awesome. Dogs all around out door seating seemed like a no brainer! But the wait staff was slow and almost seemed like we were bothering them?!? I thought we were having a nice little day! The food… God awful! I got the chicken fajitas with beans… No flavor at all I left lunch starving. My wife got a burger she said it was just OK… Wish we went somewhere else. There are 100 places on commercial street in P Town please I’m begging you go somewhere else!

From the host to the really dirty bathrooms. Don’t buy it! Not sure why it draws a crowd. The oysters were warm, the chowder cold, the lobster sliders — thick and flavorless. The waiter told us no more bread for the evening and then we saw it being brought out to another table. The host sat us next to a noisy family when there were empty tables throughout. To end the experience I went to the restroom & was greeted by a hallway full of used hand towels on the floor. With so many great dining options I am sorry I did no research prior to eating at this establishment. My husband ordered the«Fojito» and said it was great!

The food here is so-so… My Caesar salad was okay but the grilled chicken on top was as dry as a desert! The presentation and taste of the food wasn’t very great… But the experience was pretty good

We had wonderful service and the food was a delight. Such a warm, friendly atmosphere — dogs are even allowed, and water is put out for them. My lobster roll was absolutely delicious. Succulent, fresh lobster and delicious fries and greens. The bun was lightly buttered and toasted to perfection. My friend enjoyed his burger, although it was ordered rare and arrived nearly well-done. Only a little trace of pink. We would definitely return. The chowder looked delicious.

Excellent service, but food was just… okay. I wish I could say it was better. Ordered apps, entrees and drinks, and for all 3 I can say that the presentation was better than the taste. Flavors weren’t fresh and it a lot of the food tasted like it was drowned by one note(tomato for my friend, cheese for mine). Service was great, and prices are pretty reasonable for the strip. Verdict? For a less pricey Commerical St. option with good service, check this place out – but stick to the staples(burgers, salads, sandwiches).

Went here with a friend to grab a bite to eat for dinner after going to tea and after tea. It was pretty busy, but we were seated at the back of the restaurant as it is a rather large space. We were not too hungry, so we just decided to split a couple of appetizers. After asking for a couple of opinions from our waiter, we decided to go with the duck quesadilla and the Thai chicken salad. My friend and I actually remarked on how well-cooked the quesadilla ended up being, but we were underwhelmed by the amount of duck that was inside. To be honest, I don’t even know if it was duck because you couldn’t really taste it. While it tasted good, we were a little underwhelmed because of the lack of duck flavor. The Thai chicken salad was also decent, but seemed to be a mix of several ingredients that didn’t quite tie together – mainly the lettuce and the wet noodles. While the sauce had a nice kick to it, the noodles and lettuce just did not come together as I would have hoped. Maybe if they served it with cabbage or more finely cut lettuce it would be more successful. Overall, the food here was decent and it came out quickly, but it definitely wasn’t one of our favorite spots during our trip. Despite these shortcomings, this place has a great outdoor patio for people watching and is a great place for a large group – something that can’t be said for a lot of other options in Ptown.

Brunch! If there is any place that does Brunch right — or lunch for that matter, I would say it is BBB here in PTown. A pro-tip: Try to plan and go in here right when they open; which was 11am to avoid long waits, and hence the kind of service. We were totally famished after we took the first ferry into PTown and wanted to eat something good. Every popular lunch /brunch spot had approx 1 to 2 hours worth of wait time. Unreal for sure. But — in high season in PTown — this is kind of expected. So glad we decided to walk up and down, up and down, up and down Commercial street and built up an appetite for a hearty early brunch at 11am sharp. Sure enough, there was a line that had started forming outside the fenced entrance of the outdoor seating area. We were seated right away and got a great table in the shade with some fun view of the street. Our brunch. The menu was extensive and it took us all some time to decide what we wanted. I probably settled for the BEST thing on the brunch menu — By the Bay Omelette. Which was a really big omelette with chunks and chunks of fresh Lobster meat, asparagus and delicious boursin cheese. I cannot say enough about how good this omelette was. It was that good. The fries were crispy and warm and fresh, seasoning was perfect, toast was nicely done with butter on, accompanied by orange marmalade. It is very rare to find a dish that looks quite simple on paper to wow you that much. Whenever I decide to have brunch here at BBB, I highly doubt I will get anything else. Our waitress was the sweetest one. Very very courteous, she was always around to check on us if we needed anything. As mentioned before, we made sure we did not set ourselves for failure by going in at the peak of the brunch hours. Fortunately it worked out so well here. Great prices. Great outdoor seating. What more can you ask for? Very happy indeed!

Since I was called«Bubali’ by my mom when I was growing up, I(we) had to stop in for a quick nosh.(ok, it’s not exactly the same, but close enough.) We shared a beet and goat cheese salad… some steamers and a couple of beers. The salad was fresh and tasty… the steamers were plentiful and had just a very few bits of sand(hard to fault this) The beer was nice and cold. Not sure why so many negative reviews about the service because our waitress was prompt and courteous. No problem there. Wouldn’t have a problem going back next time we’re in town.

My friend and I ate here when we were in town as they had a great sounding Asian salad which we both got. The dish was good, had a spice/kick to it for sure. It had chicken on it and it said noodles, I was expecting hard noodles and we were both surprised to see«ramen/oodles of noodles» type noodles. It also had some type of peppers which looked to be roasted peppers or something of the sort and they didn’t quite fit either of our ideas of what would have been in an asian salad. We sat on the patio which was nice as we could people watch while we were awaiting our meals.

I have been going to PTown and Bubala’s for the last five years during Bear Week. Normally the food is very good and the service is excellent. This time the experience was very different, while the food was still very good, the service was terrible. The waiter have a very bad attitude. He seemed to be in a bad mood and could care less about his customers. He made us feel very uncomfortable. We normally stay for coffee and dessert and in this case we could not get out of the restaurant fast enough. Normally I tip very well and after the way we were treated I left $ 5 tip for a $ 60 bill and didn’t feel bad. He did deserve nothing for a tip, but it was Bear Week. I gave one star just because of the bad service.

Help! I’m local who got snagged in this tourist trap! Probably the largest patio in town for al fresco dining and prime seats for the summer parade of people on Commercial Street… but the food? How can I forget from year to year, the food is going to be mediocre at best… Prices this year are higher, portions smaller, quality really low. Food took over an hour to get to the table. Chicken wings @$ 13.95. Really? Almost 14 dollars for minuscule bites – hubby jokes, sure they aren’t pigeon? I ordered the striped bass special(supposedly grilled with ginger and wasabi and served with fruit salsa) sounds good, right. I didn’t ask about price. $ 34.95 for four bites of flavorless fish(no seasoning evident), served with a tablespoon of salsa, horrible dried out and cold basamati rice, and greasy haricot vert. Ridiculous, especially at $ 35.(but unfortunately standard for this town) And at these prices, I should be eating at the Red Inn(always great). 1 star for the engaging waitress(who had way too many tables), 1 star for my hubby’s fish and chips(fresh and hot).

Service was sub-par though not terrible. Food was sub-par though not terrible. Overpriced for sure. Everything on the menu, I could make better and for less. Overall, nice atmosphere for decent food and drinks. P-town is a must see/do for all visitors! One helluva place.

I will start with the good: Bubala’s was incredibly accommodating of our large(20+ people group) on short notice. They sat us all in the same area and provided us with helpful, attentive servers who did a great job. Especially with our big group, the servers were really on top of things. Also good: The complimentary bread with baked garlic, and the very tasty rum cocktail. The bad, unfortunately, was the food. My seafood cassoulet was quite bland, even after I added lots of salt. The cod in the cassoulet was tasty, but the other ingredients did not stand out. I would not order it again. My husband’s burger was significantly overcooked(well instead of medium rare) and his fries arrived cold. Given the size of our group, he chose not to mention it, so it is fair to note that Bubala’s didn’t have an opportunity to make it right. I might stop into Bubala’s for cocktails before eating somewhere else, but I don’t think I’d go there for dinner again.

I love this place! I eat here more than once on any visit to Provincetown. They have some of the best damn fried scallops in Provincetown. The breading is absolutely PERFECT. Perfect taste, cooked exactly right(and not overly greasy), and the scallops themselves are big, juicy, and so fresh.(see attached picture for how beautiful and delicious looking they are) I’ve tried other things on the menu and have not been disappointed, but I always make it a point to eat lunch here for the fried scallop plate. So good. However, to my dismay, the fried scallop plate is not avaliable for dinner, it’s only avaliable on their lunch menu. As for the other food, they have two menus. Lunch is more my style in what I want to eat. Dinner is OK too. A little upscale for my tastes, but again, I wasn’t disappointed, and certainly not enough not to want to eat there for dinner.(The short ribs on their dinner menu are soo good, the meat falls off the bone!) Service is superb. From the hostess(who is awesome), to the servers themselves, are excellent. Everyone is so friendly and nice. And the service is very prompt. The location cannot be beat, it’s right on commercial street(a few doors down from the Boatslip). They have indoor and outdoor seating, but most prefer the outdoor patio so you can sit and people watch. The best time to duck out of Tea Dance early(around six), get a table, and by the time your food arrives, tea dance is getting out and you can sit and people walking down commercial. It’s just so much fun. Price. their lunch menu is far more affordable than their dinner menu. I thought dinner was a little pricey, but it’s Provincetown, so I expect to pay a little bit more. However, the differences in selection between the two are night and day. But again, not enough to make me not want to eat dinner there. Overall, I am always extremely pleased this place and I know I will be back.

Went there for lunch today. It is in a good location and family friendly. I had the fried fish sandwich which was ok, the fries were great. My wife and I split a bowl of the fish soup which was bland. Wish we tried the chowder instead… My wife had the fish tacos which she really liked. The kids got breakfast food and enjoyed it. The service was excellent! I would eat there again, the food was average to good and the service was fantastic. Three stars for the food, added a fourth because of the friendly service.

This place was just perfect, possibly one of my favorite food spots in town. For a more upscale restaurant, their sister restaurant across the street is also amazing. This restaurant offers everything from fish tacos to burgers, sandwiches, salads, of course, lobster rolls. Their drinks are pretty generous and delicious. I wanted to try their sangria out the seemed to be out of it. While here, I are a California burger. It HS avocado, Swiss and fries with lettuce, tomato and onion. The flavor of the beef patty was delicious and moist. Their fries crispy. It was just a great meal and very filing! The servers also have the most chill attitude and are so nice. Definitely recommend to try it out when I Provincetown, I’ll be back for sure
