This is for Blackfish(sister restaurant of Local). They would NOT accommodate a shellfish allergy WHATSOEVER. It’s 2016; get with the program! Side note: The bar tender and maitre d were nice.

I’ve dined here every summer since they opened, and they still continue to impress me. Every thing I’ve ordered off the menu has been stellar, and as great as described on the menu. They offer a variety of different meat patties, including regular hamburgers, and koke, turkey, and veggie burgers. They also allow you to build your own burger if you don’t want any that are on the menu. I cannot wait to return next summer!

Came here for lunch and was seated promptly. We asked for a spot outside and were right next to the entrance but didn’t have any problems with people shuffling past us. Friend and I ordered onion rings, The Gander, and El Guapo. I found the Gander too oily and difficult to eat because the foie gras torchon fell apart and kept falling out of the burger. I was disappointed that the overall taste couldn’t justify the price either. The El Guapo on the other hand was good — the fried avocado was a nice touch. The fries and onion rings were nice too. Overall the experience was alright, but I expected much more for the price. I wouldn’t come here again but at least I was able to enjoy the fries and a few bites from my friend’s El Guapo.

Atmosphere– beach house turned restaurant with indoor and outdoor(covered, raised patio or uncovered streetside) seating. Nice enough staff who are not too chatty. Our server was older and well-trained, he cleared the entire table before dropping the check. Not sure if this is typical, but there was no ventilation in the bathroom, which was unbearably stuff and hot. Food– gluten-free? You’re in luck– slap that burger on a GF bun! Vegan? Well have a house-made veggie patty. The Niçoise salad was lovely– house-cured tuna salad(needed salt) over a bed of mixed greens, some olives, green beans, and a tiny little quail egg. Al little over-dressed for my taste but satisfying nonetheless. The bacon cheddar burger was huge, well-cooked, and hearty. The fries are thin and crispy, not much potato left. I was disappointed that they were out of root beer as I was looking forward to having a soda float. The waiter didn’t even try to push a coke float, which surprised me. Otherwise, large beverage selection including milkshakes, craft beer, wine, and cocktails.

I think a lot of my disappointment has to do with where we were seated. We asked to sit«outside» which ended up being on the upper covered porch area. Our table felt sorta in the way(next to the stairwell and right in the path of the servers grabbing stuff from the pass through window) and it was sort of cramped(there were several other empty larger tables out of the way that were seated with 2 patrons while we were there.) It was not intimate whatsoever and everytime I moved, I was worried I was going to accidentally bump into a server. We were promptly greeted and we decided just to grab a snack and a few beers. Sadly, our food came out before our beers. Our server was actually MIA(another server/food runner delivered our food). When he came to check in, he realized our beers were sitting in the pass through(not at all cold anymore) and he didn’t really seem to care. We had considered ordering a burger but decided to pass after the service woes, the unattractive seating situation and lackluster fried pickles(the aioli was great though!) The beer list was also pretty unimpressive for a place that definitely is trying to have a craft beer presence. We were happy to have a Devil’s Purse offering but it wasn’t one of their best and probably would have been better if not served at room temperature. I did go inside and use the bathroom and the inside was pretty swanky… I wouldn’t mind hanging in there on a cooler/rainy day but there are better options in the area in terms of service and outdoor ambiance.

My man and I stopped in to celebrate our 2 year anny. We met through Local 186 over their Diablo Margarita. Long story, but it’s a special place for us. We arrived at 2:30 and asked the two hostesses if we could sit upstairs, outside, and have cocktails. The young girl told us if we did not eat, we’d have to sit inside. We looked about and saw three tables occupied, in other words, the place was empty. We agreed to buy some food even though we just had lunch elsewhere. We sat at «our table» and ordered cocktails and some apps. 5 minutes after we sat, a couple was seated outside, next to us and they drank beers only for the duration of their stay. 2:30, the place was empty and we had to order food.hmmm.other’s did not. more hmmmm…

I highly recommend the surf and turf lobster burger paired with a spicy Habenero beer that lucky for us they had on tap that night. Unilocal brought us here for out first dinner in Ptown. It was hella windy and now I know what everyone wears those god awful cape cod sweatshirts at night.. .. . Because no one packed any thing warm in the first place!!! The hostess said the heaters would keep us warm as we sat on the 2nd floor patio. We tried. We really did, but the divas in us asked to be seated inside. The wait was longer than expected so the waiter was kind enough to sit us in the bar downstairs. We were served 3 delicious burgers and pretty sure they disappeared in under 3 minutes. Definitely hit this place up if you are like me and love a good burger paired with a tasty beer.
