Just came in here to replace a cricket sim card but received awesome service. While I was waiting Jonathan was fielding questions from kids and adults alike with enthusiasm and precision. He was willing to engage sincerely with anyone about a new game coming out or the dates a new system would be released despite being the only one in the shop and deep in the weeds at the moment(Game stop in queens needs more employees!). Got my sim card up and running and even called me a few hours after to make sure that it was taking phone calls. I’m pleasantly surprised!

One star because they have items in stock that other store do not. They reason they have the items though is because I’m pretty sure people walk out before buying anything. Staff is really slow. Really really slow. Took 25 minutes to buy a controller from the front desk, with no other customers in the store so I should be done quick right? Nope. Oh and their points system is down so I wasn’t able to get points on my $ 80 purchase. Next time I’m shopping on Amazon. I’ll save at least $ 15-$ 20 and actually get my stuff when I want it.

–reasonably priced for sale, but to sell them back forces haggling skills to a new low.(i.e AC4: Black Flag on sale for 60, then sold for $ 25? Not pretty.) –Friendly staff, knowledgable, but regulars aren’t as helpful as one might think. Asked whether another USB controller would be out on sale. Neither an approximate date nor price was said, nor even whether another Gamestop store would have it. –Classic games are present, but pushed aside and not given respect due just like their present games. Understandable as it is, where would present games be without classic ps2/xbox games to boot? –Persistent in sales to ask customers to apply for a Gamestop card plus perks, but no cigar. Had a friend enlist in Lame Informer magazine, and found their reviews just as bad as some of the people trolling along in Metacritic(sad, but true.). –Smug location, decent store size, but lacks in consistent friendly atmosphere. Sure, people don’t get paid to sell games nowadays, but at least enjoy what you have and not throw a sneer to people every now and then. –Out of date with latest guides to games, preferably Piggyback’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag guide already out, and lacking knowledge to purchase one. Funny how Barnes and Noble caught that guide first before they did. Sorry, not going there anytime soon. As much as improvements are shown, I have to bid my farewell to this place and find another store to suit my high level of gaming needs. Until then…

The employees are very nice and knowledgable. Sometimes there can be a little wait. On weekends there should be two cashiers. Overall a good experience.

Dear smug Gamestop employee, I bought an HDMI cable for our new PS3 system for $ 20 two doors down from you at RadioShack. It works perfectly. I’m very glad I didn’t take your recommendation for the other PS3 bundle that included an HDMI cable and a bunch of shit games. Thanks!(for nothing)

Been here a few times, decent selection, nothing extra special, staff is friendly and knowledgeable, exactly what have come to expect from the gamestop chain. one plus in their favor is that the manager(chris i think), helped me out in locating some old school games for some of the older platforms instead of just telling me that those are too out of date to aqqiure anymore(which ive been told at other spots before)
