I was worried when I saw the bad reviews but my experience was pretty good. Fairly clean, good service, and typical Wendy’s food. They must have changed management or something.

Food was good, but the service was glacially slow. One person at the counter, 6 people prepping food, and 10 minutes to get my food.

I go here because it’s one of the closets fast food near my home. Otherwise I wouldn’t go to this Wendy’s. Staff in drive through is not very pleasant. My food is not very good. Other Wendy’s are better.

Filthy. There were flies all around. Tables were dirty. Trash cans overflowing. Condiment/drink area was a mess. I saw an ant on the table beside of mine. Ugh. No desire to come back here.

Normally, I am a big Wendy’s fan, and would rather go to Wendy’s than McD’s, or BK, but this was just not a good experience. I went to the Wendy’s Drive-Thru at Creedmoor Road about 9 at night. I didn’t order a combo, as I did not want anything to drink, so I just ordered things separate. First, I started off with a value size fry($ 0.99), and then I realized that the value size was a tiny portion, so I said I wanted to change the size to a medium($ 1.79). You know, normally, places always ask you to upsize, or a combo before they ring up your order, but this night was different. After I said I wanted to change my order to a medium, the cashier said that she was just going to ring up 2 value size($ 0.99 each) fries, and I was then given a total, and told to pull around to the second window. This is where is got interesting. Remember when I told you the price of the fries, the medium was $ 1.79(1.94 with tax) and the values sizes total was $ 1.98($ 2.14 with tax.) I mentioned to the cashier that she overcharged me, and that the medium was cheaper than what she rung up(2 value size.) I was not expecting the reaction that followed. She actually got mad at me, and tried to tell me that I was wrong, and the price was not different like I was saying. The logic at Wendy’s was, the price of the medium was $ 1.94 after tax, so the 2 value size fries were $ 1.98, so it was all a wash. The thing is, they didn’t add the tax on the 2 value fries before they tried to tell me I was wrong. Now, I know a young adult might make this mistake, but, this was a grown adult(40’s) and then the manager came over, and said I was wrong also. If you are going to compare prices, then, shouldn’t you compare either both prices before, or after you add tax, not the price of the cheaper with tax, and the price of the most expensive one without tax to say how they are«the same»? When you work in fast food, you know the prices of everything, both with and without tax in your head after a while, or at least that is how all of the employees were when I worked in fast food, since you sell the same thing over and over and over every day. I know it is only pocket change, but just think of it this way. If they intentionally overcharge 200 people a quarter that come by, and then at the end of the day, they collect and pocket the change. That one employee made an extra $ 50 in one day just by overcharging a little. Now back to the story at the window. After the employee got mad because I caught her overcharging me, she refused to hand me the food, and told somebody else to do it. Talk about customer service, or lack there off. One of Wendy’s statements is «We believe that you deserve better.» In response, yes Wendy’s, I do deserve better than poor treatment, and being overcharged by employees. So since we deserve better, how about we go somewhere else, like next door to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. At least there, I know I will have to pay a lot for great food, and excellent service. I gave Wendy’s two stars for the following reason. Poor customer service knocked off 3 stars. I ordered two 5 piece spicy nuggets, and they mixed in some old dried up ones, with a few fresh ones, so that dropped it down to one star. The new fries really are tasty, so, I gave them a star for that. If I decide to go back to Wendy’s, I will just have to go back to the one on Capital, or New Bern Ave. The one on Louisburg road by Wake Tech is great also.
