The wife and I went to a party with relatives where the food was all from Tasty Chicken aka Juan Pollo. It was FABULOUS food! Cannot figure why the food is so underrated. We got to take some of the food home and I have been enjoying it for breakfast and lunch for the past couple of days. This is really great food. We are from Indiana so we are not related to the owners.

This is exactly the same place as its previous incarnation, Juan Pollo. I still haven’t found a place that beats this chicken, potato salad, and rice. I’ve always gotten my food to go, but the dinning area is clean, albeit spartan.
The only thing keeping this place from getting 5 stars is the fact that they don’t accept credit cards. Just debit cards and cash.

Chicken taste just like Juan Pollo
Menu same like Juan Pollo
Chicken Rice the same as Juan Pollo
Beans not like Juan Pollo less flavor
Potato Salad lot more Mayo taste than Juan Pollo
It is not Juan Pollo but, should of just left it at

. I figured I would give this place one more time because we used to go here all the time when it was Juan pollo. Listen to the reviews below about finding bones in your tacos or burritos. We ordered 8 tacos and 4 out of the 8 had bones inside of them. Huge hazard! Don’t eat here unless you want to possible choke on a bone! Not worth the taste of the chicken. Will not be going back here. When I called the restaurant to let them know about the bones the lady told me that I needed to bring the bone back in! I told her that it was in the trash! She said she wanted to show the cooks? Why not just tell them there were bones in the food! Then she told me I was being rude on the phone. Instead of apologizing about the bones! Hopefully the owner reads this but according to the «manager» the owners don’t come in. They wouldn’t give me a call. They don’t have an email. Pretty much they don’t care and that shows!

Went here looking for an easy, quick dinner.
Walked in to an empty restaurant, with three people in line.
There was three women. The woman as the front of the line looked very agitated. Another woman, who walked in right before I did was Now at the counter, explaining how her order was not fresh, and she wanted her money back — pretty much did not allow the woman in front to order.
The woman in front of me looked back and said, «we may have to wait a while, this happens all the time»
I stood there for a good 10 minutes. Neither woman’s order was taken, and the other woman’s meal was not refunded or replaced.
Pretty much, a waste of time and effort for Four different customers.

It’s Juan Pollo without the name. If you have had Juan pollo before you know the type of great chicken we are talking about. The skin holds all those yummy flavor crystals so enjoy. One star for meeting the service, second for effort and the fifth star for hitting it home on the taste factor.

Same exact thing as Juan Pollo. The potato salad is killer. I can’t get enough. Price is good and food is great. Sometimes there is a line but only because it is a popular place.

STOP! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DRIVE TO UPLAND! Save your gas money and head on over to this place. I wonder? Is it legal to be this similar to a competitor? I’ll let the folks over at TASTY CHICKEN worry about that and I’ll just worry about downing the chicken, tortillas & those «Tasty» sides that have that «unique» flavor you can only find in a «few places».

Good stuff. The chicken is TASTY, the rice and beans are good and the potato salad is perfect. Very similar to Juan Pollo except the potato salad is better IMO.

My wife and I split a «Mini» meal. Chicken was great, meat falls off the bone and has fantastic flavor. Obviously the skin is as good as it looks in the photos).
Beans were good.
Potato salad was good too.
Rice was bland and dried out.
Flour tortillas were soft and fresh.
Hot salsa was good
Mild Salsa was ok, not a fan of the carrots in it.
Food was very hot (temp) and our take out order was very fast.
We will definitely come back.

Place is terrible. I grew up on Juan Pollo Chicken. It’s not the same in a bad way and more expensive. I rarely post but I was so disappointed with this place I was compelled to. I absolutely love Juan Pollo Chicken!!! I love their taste, prices and their ghetto ambiance! This place is NOT still Juan Pollo!!! I went here thinking it was possibly still the same quality as advertised and I was wrong! The chicken tasted bland and gave me a stomach ache! The prices were higher than Juan Pollo’s all around and they charge you a ridiculous amount to use your Bank Card and they do some sort of shady ATM fee! This is the year 2014… Nobody carries cash and no other place charges fees to use your checking card! Oh and they don’t accept credit cards either. Please don’t go to this Not So Tasty Chicken… Drive 4 miles away to The real Juan Pollo in Upland. It’s worth the drive and your time! Don’t go here and drive to real Juan Pollo in Upland.

The food is great. It’s always so FRESH, CLEAN and FAST and it’s the best choice by far to other chicken places.
The service is good and the cook even takes ur orders to make sure ur in and out in a fast minute I love the chicken skin the BEST ever I come in 3 times a week that’s how good it is

Sad to have to knock down my rating of tasty chicken. I stopped in for two more chicken bowls tonight and my bowl had a chunk of cartilage in it while my wife’s bowl had a small, sharp bone in it.
I know they shred/​chop/​mash that chicken up but they HAVE to do a better job of filtering out stuff like that (the chewy cartilage I can deal with but that bone is borderline unforgivable; it’s hazardous).
I’d knock this review down to two stars but I want to see if this happens again (and still try some of their other dishes).
I’d advise you be extra careful if you order the bowl.

Beware.
Cash ONLY. If you use the ATM card, they round up 5 $ of the bill and give you the change back. Dont ask me why they do this, but it is ridiculous! Now i have a 2 $ fee from my bank saying it was a ATM FEE. I will never eat here again due to this confusion by the owner of the place.
