I’ll admit, this isn’t a restaurant I’d pick. My kids wanted to eat here. The food was terrible. I had a cut of steak, it was too salty to eat. The green beans were overcooked, flavorless, and mushy. The mashed potatoes were the only semi good thing but they are instant potatoes, hard to mess up. I had a salad as well, I’d eat that again but I can get as good and better most anywhere. I feel the price is too high. $ 40 for 1 adult, a 12 year old, and an 8 year old. 12 year olds are charged as adults, FYI.

Lunch was ok. Nothing special or great. A change of pace for my wife and I from fast food burgers. For about $ 6 more than burgers for two we are probably eating a little healthier also.

Home town buff feezy. I wouldn’t be here if my daughter hadn’t won a free meal cause she a beast at school. But I’m glad we came. Got them slushies with dinner cause we adults who keep it real. Got that pudding with brownie topped in powdered sugar and drizzled in chocolate sauce. I don’t even know what to call it, but that ish goes. If you a baller on a budget and got mad plus ones this your spot. Also they got a cappuccino machine if you into that.

Although I did not personally go, my husband and son went here and BOTH of them said it was AWFUL! They said everything was nasty and looked like it had been sitting a while. They asked the waitress what they do with the food at the end of the night and she said THEYSAVEITFORTHENEXTDAY!!! So disgusting! As my 11 yr old son said«they couldn’t get anything right! They even screwed up the soft serve!»”

My mom and i went to have dinner here last night after a little bit of shopping. Upon entering and paying the Manager walked up to us and he asked us if we have ever visited them before. I replied that i have been to other Hometown Buffets but not this location specifically. He was soooo nice and walked us around the restaurant. He pointed out the Ladies room, the hot food, the salad bar, the desert bar and the meat slicing table. He walked us over to the beverages and then walked us to a table. He even pulled out the chair for my mom, a true Gentleman. The food was good, everything tasted delicious. The desert bar was full of yummy stuff Overall was a great experience, more than just a typical Hometown Buffett. The manager strived to provide 100% customer satisfaction which he did I would recommend this restaurant !!

Ice cream melts quick. Food isn’t fresh or good. Its spoiled! The food here is hard and unpleasant. This place is unpleasantly gross.

This place has lots of options, duh. They can be hit or miss. If it’s a Sunday when there are many people eating lots of food and the food is constantly getting replenished it is better. If it is a day when there are not that many people and the food is sitting there, it is worst. They have lots of different options from salad to roar beef to chicken pot pie. They have a mexican station with great chips and nacho cheese. Some spaghetti with spaghetti sauce. Some kind of potato. Mashed potatoes. The food has the same seasoning. But the options are almost always the same so that can get tiring. It’s a fair price. Don’t expect greatness.

Took the cashier about 10 minutes to notice we were waiting to pay. The only difference between lunch and dinner is the price. The food was terrible I’m not even American I can make better American food. Let’s just say pick a different place to eat.

The food at this store today is old. Unless you have a cast iron stomach you might want to avoid this place until they get a better manager. I could go into detail but 50% of the items are either old or even days old or overcooked and dry. From the salad bar to the dried out cake at the dessert bar, I won’t be back right away.

Tonight the food was a different experience, the orange chicken was dried out. Fried Chicken and chicken strips were so hard that they were not edible, So off to the taco bar surely that will make everything better, nope the taco shells were burnt and so flat you couldn’t possibly use them. So dissapointed tonight! Unfortunately they also didn’t have any carbonated beverages, something wrong with machine manager told us, after being charged $ 8.03 for 3 beverages which I did get refunded. Coffee was Luke warm and chocolate milk machine having even bigger issues, required manager assist as it tried to drizzle out. Definately 1 star the waitress was trying her best to apologize to patrons however not a good night at home town buffet.

We chose our favorite foods. I wanted to eat the traditional foods so I chose a small slice of ham and a small slice of turkey, the ham was delicious usually it is so salty I can’t eat it. I liked the turkey. I did get a baked potato with cheese and sour cream. I got my cranberry sauce it really helps to complete the meal. The desserts were great and the experience was good except for the man mopping around us. The Hometown Buffet is a good place to go with the family.

Good food, not mind blowing but that’s what happens when you go buffer. Pleasant staff, clean. Good lighting. And not too noisy.

Redding HomeTown is one of the best. You can always get a great fresh salad bar with lots of great choices. Their Roast Turkey on Sundays is absolutely the best, moist and flavorful! On weekends they offer a breakfast where omelets and scrambles are to your desire. Of course the typical buffet foods and desserts are available, but if you are health conscious, you will find good options. The staff are lovely. Many have worked there 10 years plus! They do a great job of meeting your requests. Sometimes we go there 4 times a month! We have met many who go once a week and even 5 times every week! Redding Hometown is work the stop!!! Discounts often available :)

We hadn’t ate there for quite awhile and wished we wouldn’t have that night. Went in about 5 – 5:30 expecting to have to wait, hardly no people, that should have been our first clue. Shelled out the money. Got my salad, soup and went for the french bread but it was hard like it had been there all day. Next I tried their skilled dinner, pulled pork and potatoes, I could’ve made it better, and I’m not a good cook. Saved the best for last dessert bar, only things that looked like it hadn’t been sitting there all day was the soft serve ice cream. Next time my husband says let’s go to HomeTown Buffet, I’m to tell him, remember the last time we went. Sorry but I’ll pass. It’s a great place for kids because all kids want is to run around and get ice cream.

Here is how to best enjoy what Hometown Buffet has to offer: 1. Drive into the parking lot. Park. Witness the people who are moving in and out of the establishment. The ones shuffling in are anticipating laying down $ 12 for the privilege of consuming 10,000 calories in plate after plate of piles of shitty chow. They have the guilty look of sex-crime parolees walking into a porn shop or an elementary school. The ones waddling out are as bloated as dead whales on disgusting food, with eyes cast at the ground in shame and self-loathing. They appear to have lost the will to live. Some are openly weeping. 2. Go to the door. Look inside. The place seats 400! It’s like an industrial-farm feedlot catering to those Americans for whom«value» is synonymous with«shit-loads.» Nobody is talking — it’s like an SAT exam is going on in there. Everyone is inhaling mountains of food. 3. Walk back to your car. Go across the street to Olive Garden and order their all-you-can-eat salad for $ 8. It’s not too bad, and relatively speaking, not bad for you, even if you have two or three helpings, and even if you get plenty of the grated parmesan cheese on top. And you don’t have to forfeit a year of your life.

A fair 2.8 Nearing 2030, we were both becoming super weary from the road trek in the dark, the tortuous roads. even the endless playlists on the iPhone couldn’t keep up the lively. MSG(my special guy) declared«soup and salad» desired for dinner. Uh… Unilocaling frenzy ensued. Quickly! It closes in half an hour. Hometown Buffet, land of the dentured indentured!!! Roast beef with au jus honestly wasn’t half bad!!! no joke… very moist, med rare cut. roasted ham. cornbread, tortilla/taco salad bar. lots of fruit avail, beets, brocc, cauli, soups were icky. no touch with 10 ft pole. more suited as substitute for wallpaper glue. i would say. didn’t mind salad options either. but the baked potato bar, the baked fish, the fried onion rings, roasted chicken… more than edible. cheapest dinner date we have ever had, i do believe. Clean, server was quite friendly and genuine. Not bad way to go, esp, as it’s like 5 mins off of the I5 freeway!
