Great ice cream! My wife and i stopped in, she had a giant cupcake and I had their birthday cake ice cream. It was superb, my wife is a phenomenal baker so hard to beat but she said it was great except icing. I would definitely go back!

Oh how I miss you Sweetspot, especially on a Redding-sick day! Savory, sweet and frozen treats PLUS made-to-order pizzas, beer and wine in adjacent space?! I remember almost camping out at the store, getting 3 meals by grazing through the delicacies when I was in town last. I’m picky about croissants but you nailed the basic versions… and the savory danish style treats… forgot their names, my camera didn’t get a chance to «eat» before I did… You are icing on the cake for Redding, can’t wait to see you again!

I met a friend at Sweetspot for a birthday treat: espresso and gelato. What a fun place to hang out. The restaurant became very busy soon after I walked in, but my friend and I hung out in the«bar» area where it was quiet and dark(In Redding summertime one might look for the dark and shady spots to hang out!). We spent an hour and a half undisturbed. And the tiramisu gelato was delish. We shared a small cup and it was just enough. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I noticed many people had trouble making up their minds and were given tastes of the different flavors. Free mini cupcake on your birthday and my birthday girl forgot to get hers on the way out! I think we had enough sugar for one day without it! It is not a good place for sugar-free people! And it is a little pricey!

I took my kids to Sweetspot on a weekday afternoon and we had the place all to ourselves. I got the gelato and my two boys got mini cupcakes, and everything was delicious. They have an awesome kids play area in the back, where kids can color on the walls and play with Lego-type toys. It’s great, and it kept my kids entertained for almost an hour. We’re definitely coming back again soon.

On Sunday’s, buy a gelato, get a mini-cupcake free. After 5 you get a free pastry when you buy one. Best part? Service with a smile.

I have been to sweet spot multiple times and it is generally okay. Most of the gelato flavors today had liquid in the container which was not appetizing. Also some of their cupcakes give off an artificial taste. On the other side, some cupcakes are pretty tasty. And today I read a sign that said Monday is buy one get one free cupcake and Tuesday is 2 dollar medium espresso drink day. There is one more special but I forgot what it was.

Whoa! Where do I begin? Best thing I’ve ever tasted. Hadn’t even left, and was already planning my next trip!

Oh wow! The snickerdoodle gelato was absolutely amazing!!! In addition to gelato they have cupcakes, cookies, espresso drinks and all sorts of sugary yumminess. Go there!

The best dessert place in Redding. We drop in for mini-cupcakes for the kids occasionally. I’ve also ordered two birthday cakes from here. They did a great job on a last minute order and had it completed quickly!

I hired these guys to make a mini cake and cupcakes of the dirty divas for my wedding, it was totally lackluster and outrageously priced for 125 mini cupcakes and one mini cake and an extra 90 dollars for them to just deliver them making it almost 1,000 dollars! I tried them a second time just for 2 cupcakes I ordered a chocolate cupcake that was completely dry and hard and the dirty diva cupcake had a hair in it disgusting! I wont go there again its overpriced and has very poor quality and the new changes are filthy like a day care center!

this place is so cute and a perfect desert spot. my first time here I got chocolate gelato, it was super rich and definitely tasted hand made. I got a small size, just one large scoop. the time I went also came with a free mini cupcake(: the shop is quite small, but has a good atmosphere. there’s a large selection of deserts, and they all sounded great! what’s also really cool about this place is they also have breakfast burritos that I heard were very good, I’ll definitely try one when I’m in Redding again. the bakery selection is also pretty good, it ranges from large baked goods to tiny mini cupcakes(the oreo is great!). the only down fall I found with this place was the price. :(it was over 10 $ for two small orders of gelato. it is a small business so I guess that definitely reflects on how they price their food. will definitely come here again for desert or some take home goods! but definitely don’t recommend this place for someone looking for an inexpensive sweet tooth satisfier. 4⁄5 stars because of the pricing

It’s too much of al lot ok things. The service on the«bar» side is terrible. They have you pay ahead of time and tip then as well. I would not have tipped at all for the service I did not receive. Almost had to even go get my own food. Employees are way to cool to be bothered with serving you. Which I’m pretty sure is the definition of their job. Very disappointing. Also, it was very dirty.

It’s great that it’s one of the very few places to have a kids area, it’s great to meet mommy friends and let the kiddos play. The play area seems dirty(the chairs, table, toys and floor) have what seems is a thick layer dirt. I’ve never had an amazing dessert, it has always been ok.

I love this place. I love the wine, the coffee, the(amazing!) desserts and the atmosphere. The staff is friendly, and I’ve always been happy when I’ve come here… even if I wasn’t happy about who I was here with. :-) Definitely a place to hit in Redding! Take a date, but be ready to «bump into someone you know» here, because a lot of folks come here. Love it!

Really cool spot. Probably would have got 5 stars if they had some milk. Had all kinds of sweets that I couldn’t decide. I went with the cinnamon bread pudding and my girlfriend got the chocoholic cupcake. We shared some cookies. Everything was good, but my girlfriend said there was a bit too much frosting on the cupcake or it needs to be thicker. Will definitely be back.

This place is a sweet gem! I love all of their treats and you just could NEVER go wrong. My favorite treats are the cupcakes and the gelato. Literally there is not one flavor I wouldn’t recommend. They are all amazing! Even if you are just passing through, you must stop to try this place out! All of the workers are extremely helpful and nice! And if you want a full stop shop… There’s pizza and beer on the other side of the shop! Can you say perfect?!

Great cozy Good I had a latte Much better than Starbucks The gluten free cinnamon roll muffin had a good texture and tasted just like a cinnamon roll but not as sweet I normally don’t eat gluten free and I have to say that I didn’t notice it was. The service is friendly and professional I Will come back.

The gelato is amazing, but a few other things didn’t stack up for me. The seasonal pumpkin gelato is divine, not too sweet but just the right balance of flavor and texture. They let you try out different flavors and they are all delicous, I mean, amazingly delicious. You come in a place like this and find something like that, boom: 5 stars right there. But there is so much more to the Sweetspot surprisingy, and as I discovered, more they need to learn.
The new wine and beer area is really cool: a great place to meet up for a casual date and grab a quick bite and share a glass. The day we went it was 5 dollar pizza day(Sunday!). The barbeque chicken should have been called buffalo chicken, becasue they just poured a ton of buffalo wing sauce on some chicken and cheese and called it good. I thought it was rather disgusting. My friend got the gorgonzola apple pizza, and that was actually pretty good, not over-hyped but just the right balance of flavor on a delicate crust. We sat at the bar for like 10 minutes before someone came over to pour us a glass, but luckily for them we were having such a great conversation it didn’t matter, and it was well worth the wait because we discovered a great Napa brand(Hoyt) that wasn’t overpriced at $ 8 a glass and quite delicious.
So could have been better, could have been worse, but I left satisfied and feeling not ripped off, and that’s all you can really ask for.

This is my «go to» place if I’m craving sweets! Their cup cakes are wonderful, the gelato is yummy and their pastries and other sweet items are really good as well! It’s family friendly(there’s a place for the little ones) while the other side is a wine bar! Just an excellent place to hang out with friends with a great atmosphere and friendly workers.
