We stopped by here on our way home to San Francisco from a camping trip. With my specific dietary needs (medical reasons) eating out can be challenging. These folks were not only very patient and accommodating, but also so cautious with carefully checking all labels for me for specific ingredients in both their meats and sauces. It was SO appreciated! And in the end my husband and I enjoyed our meal very much. Thank you so much for everything.

When I lived in San Francisco my favorite sandwich shop was Ike’s Place. I always try to find comparable sandwich shops when I’m traveling and this place has a very similar sandwich style. They are large, hot sandwiches wrapped up and served in a paper bag with a napkin and a sucker, just like at Ike’s.
I got the Angry Bird Vegetarian sandwich without the vegan turkey. It was good, but the vegan «chicken» was weird. I realize I just said fake chicken is weird, but it was, lol. I used to get the Ugly Owl at Ike’s with breaded vegan chicken and it was better. Other than that though, the sandwich had good flavor and I’ll definitely go back! I suspect their real meat sandwiches are delicious.

Was looking to stop off I-​5 for a good sandwich place and came across this place. So glad I did, AMAZING. Great service, friendly staff, and they even let me bring my dog inside so he didn’t have to wait in the hot car. The sandwich was perfect

I was in town for business and google mapped around to find a local sandwich spot. After clicking through a number of Subways and Togo’s, I stumbled upon this establishment.
First thing I gotta say is that the service was excellent. The two gentlemen working were exuberant and friendly, and my sandwich was made swiftly.
Second, the sandwich was excellent. I got the «Deputy Dog,» which is a pastrami based sandwich, on Dutch crunch bread. The sandwich came with bacon and I replaced the cheese with cheddar. It was just fantastic. The bread was perfectly crunchy and the pastrami was delightful.
I’m going to make a point to stop in every time I’m passing through Redding because this place is worth it. I suggest anybody else do the same.

The food is awesome, great taste but run by a bunch of immature high-​school kids. Called an hour before closing just to be sure they were still making sandwiches. Showed up within 15 minutes of my call and was told by the punk at the punk at the front they were closing. I informed him I just called and was told they would be open for another hou, he quickly reverted and said he would make an exception. I told him not to bother and went to a different shop. I won’t go here for the sole reason of the unprofessional manner they choose to conduct their business. It’s a shame because the food is great. (Why I gave it 3 ***)

Food was tasty, service was ok, atmosphere left a lot to be desired. I did not go to have lunch with my wife to hear loud rap music glorifying «smokin’ weed» and other degraded activity. Yes, I listen to the lyrics of the tunes being blasted on the radio in the joint.
So, I would consider trying again, but will immediately leave if offensive noise is flooding the place when I walk in the door. Redding is not the «inner city».

The name of the place says it all! Best Little Sandwich Shop! By far the best sub I’ve had in a long time. The bread was nice and soft, not tough at all. The veggies were all fresh! Highly recommend the number 22!
And on top of having an amazing sub, the staff was all very friendly and courteous, greeted me upon entering and thanked me as I left. I will definitely be back!

Another great experience! This is my go-​to sandwich spot, and I eat a lot of sandwiches. Always good and never fails. I get the spongebob because I don’t eat meat and it is amazing.

I SO want to give this place 5 stars. It’s awesome, what other place will let you add bacon, avocado, cheeses etc for free? The only thing I wish was different, is if when people are ordering, if they were on one side and then paid when their sandwich was ready. I say this because I order in advance by phone before I take my lunch. When I leave for work my sandwich is always ready, but if there are a couple people ordering, I often waste most of my lunch waiting in line, only get to take a couple bites before I have to return to work :(

Good stuff! Needed a sandwich place to meet some friends. Not being familiar with Redding, we relied on Unilocal.The Best Little Sandwich Shop is a winner. And with kiddos, we appreciated the Pee Bee and Jay. Huge portions and the bag of chips is included. Plus an unexpected candy sucker. We will be back.

A wonderful gentleman handed us the flyer to the place, so we checked it out. We had the O’Riley’s sandwich. Extremely friendly. Our order was super fast and tasted amazing. I recommend this place. I’m coming back for sure!!!

After having a few bad experiences with things not being done correctly and some rude service I have to give them props for trying to make things right. Spoke with management and after taking down details I could tell that they genuinely care about customer satisfaction and we’re trying to make me happy. Overall the food is really good! I’m starving and can’t wait to enjoy the best sandwich I’ve came across thus far! #22 — o’rileys rilicle. Super good. They even make me a special dipping sauce that consists of buff sauce, BBQ and ranch. Sounds weird, tastes amazing! Go eat!
