One of the best place to eat in the Microsoft campus. I usually order the Burrito Grande with diablo chicken. I’d actually rate it above Qdoba and Chipotle. It’s usually pretty consistent comfort food. On Fridays, they have free juice.

Their downtown Redmond location – actually locations, since it moved once before closing – was a great spot to get a burrito or whatever else tickled your fancy. They loved to brag that they didn’t have a can opener on the premises; everything was fresh. I cannot verify that they still make that claim since moving to «The Mixer» on the MS campus, but the food tasted pretty much the same as it used to. It’s busy, and it’s very much a food court setting. Given that’s also a corporate food court setting, any hope of a five star rating is probably gone. Who’s going to come in here just for the food if they don’t work here or have business to do on campus? It’s not like you can sneak in without some effort – you need a cardkey to pop the door. But, still, it’s a going commercial concern that just happens to have located themselves here. It’s a bit of an assembly line, with guys across the sneeze guard taking your order as you move down the serialized tubs of ingredients, then dropping the finished product on an electric frying pan for a couple minutes to toast up the tortilla a bit. The end result is tasty and satisfying without being overly filling/bloating. Pop is free, and the food price is subsidized, but, again, this is an employee deal. Solid choice when in Rome.

First off, don’t try to get in at noon on a sunny day. It’s a CRAZY town! I ordered 2 fish tacos which were reasonably priced– around $ 2 each. I was asked to wait, which was fine, paid for my food and they gave it to me when it was ready. I loaded up on lime and various salsas and sat down to eat. The fish was cold and none of the salsas were very good. Pretty disappointed overall, won’t be back. :(

I work in a building right next to The Commons on the Microsoft campus, so it is a easy walk to get here. I have looked at all the eateries in this complex and have to say a lot of the places are overpriced for what you get. Well thank goodness for Acapulco Fresh. I have not tried any of their outside locations, but this place actually makes a decent burrito. There are a number of chains that Acapulco can be compared to, but it seems to match up the most with Baja Fresh which also has a salsa bar in store. I got the chicken burrito($ 5.75) which came with a small bag of tortilla chips. Picked up some cilantro and onion along with pico de gallo. The condiments were fresh which was good. The burrito itself was not amazing, but pretty solid given the locale. The chips were crispy which is good. In addition to burritos, they have an array of other offerings like quesadillas, tacos and more. I even saw slices of tres leches cake sold here. Plenty of seating here which is good. The Commons has a good ambiance, it is just overpriced. I think Acapulco Fresh is one of the more affordable and filling places in the complex. Though there is a Chipotle just down the street at Crossroads and Taqueria Guadalajara is just several blocks south. For The Commons, Acapulco warrants four stars. But in the real world, this place is really a three.
