Coworkers and I went in for a early lunch. We were the only people at the resturant and the service was still really slow. We had to wait 15 to 20 minutes before we got our first drink. One of our girl’s pasta was overly salty we sent it back to the kitchen. Its been a 1.5 lunch now her food has yet to come back. We have to leave and get back to the office nnow. Really disappointed with the poor service. Won’t be coming back. Won’t recommend this resturant to anyone.

Service was ok… besides that we had to keep asking for refills. Nachos came out cold. The tortilla soup came out hot and was delicious. All in all 2.5 star…

This place has gone downhill. Came in during a power outage and was surprised it wasn’t packed. Now i know why. Waited to put in name and the staff walks around like they’re so busy when at most was 40% filled. Was told about a 20 min wait which turned out to be a 45 min wait. Could’ve went to Qdoba but the kids wanted to dine in. Finally got seated and saw our waitress three times. Beginning, order and check. No how’s everything or refills in between. Apologizes at the end when she brings the check that she was swamped. I only counted six tables on her watch so not buying what she was selling. The tip reflected the service which luckily for her wasn’t zero.

Just all around meh! No worthwhile qualities, never plan on returning. Waiting for them to go out of business so something good can go in place.

Great food, good service and pretty nice ambience. While it is slightly on the pricier side, food portions are pretty generous. Good number of vegetarian and gluten free choices on the menu.

Used to love eating at this restaurant. What happened? The décor is ridiculous… the table sticky and the carpet worn and dirty. The fork pre-set on the table was covered with food(not a good start). I ordered the chicken quesadillas which I’ve had several times before. They were covered in grease. Unable to eat them. The corn fritters were overcooked and evidently no longer served with honey butter(price much higher). There was 1 table of customers sitting outside and we were the only other people in the restaurant. It still took ½ hr to get our food. Sorry but there are many other choices in Redmond. We won’t be back.

Food below average and expensive for what you get. Service was good considering restaurant was empty while I was there. Restaurant looks not very clean and the carpet is disgusting!

My experience at Canyons has been a mixed bag. The onion rings are wonderful. You get a nice big portion, they are well cooked, crisp and light and I was tempted back to try their Wings Wednesday — $ 5 for 10 wings — man were they a disappointment. When I saw the Mango-Habanero flavor, I knew I wanted it. So I had Wings and Rings. The Onion Rings came out perfect. Hot, crisp, delish. The wings, what a disappointment. small, barely warm, the Habanero overwhelmed all else. I could not detect any hint of mango at all. Even the celery sticks were a disappointment. You know how they dry up and curl when they’ve been cut and left out too long? Yup! They weren’t quite limp yet, buuuut… I’m not coming back for Wings again.

Way too expensive for food that is just okay. Actually, calling this«okay» is being more than generous because the problems go further. There are a few surrounding restaurants that are more cost-friendly, and virtually all of them are better choices than Canyons. For that reason, I can’t see myself ever coming for a second meal. Entrees are pretty expensive at around fifteen dollars on average; it’s quite easy to blow twenty bucks at this restaurant on the entrée alone. That to me spells craziness, but when the wait for your food also takes nearly twenty minutes, there’s a problem. There were barely any other customers, so it’s not like they were busy. I ordered the baja seafood tacos, which were packed and full of flavor but absolutely tiny considering the price. The menu marked them at $ 16 for two tacos; I think I’ve had bigger tacos at Taco Bell for less than half that price. Their profit margin is probably huge, but they must also be scaring away customers in the process. They did also serve chips with salsa as dip, but even this was not enough to save my lunch. The chips were very greasy and the salsa cup was pitifully small as well. Seriously, it’s like they’re not even trying. Any of the nearby restaurants at least put some effort in getting their customers to come back.

Horrible. The place is also a freak show as far as décor. Just like the menu its totally obnoxious. My almost famous was totally forgettable. Way too salty, no blackened flavor what so ever, about a pound of provolone, I tiny slice of avocado and a pitiful slice of under ripe tomato. The buns was stale and too small for the chicken. Gross just gross. We shared the sesame asian salad. Seriously so happy that we ordered the dressing on side. We didn’t use it. It was so sweet and had a thick gelatinous consistency about it, it actually jiggled. No asian anything in the salad unless you want to call the bright red pickled ginger asian??? Not. My daughter had the sliders. She liked them. My other daughter had the prime rib dip. No prime here. Just chewed grey meat. Service was slow and when I told the server about the salt lick of a chicken burger she said she would inform the kitchen… I paid $ 65 for horrible food and not so great service and a frick n headache from the lighting and the noise. Never again.

Mediocre food, not that great of service and overpriced. We went with a group for a work Christmas party. It took forever to get drink orders, then the guy forgot my wine. Not much for those trying to eat healthy. I got steamed veggies. Probably won’t be returning!

With more options in the area, Canyons doesn’t stand out. It’s not all bad, they have some good items and the atmosphere in the restaurant side is pretty good,(except when full, at which point it gets very loud.) The issue seems to be that they can’t quite nail the concept, despite several menu revisions and swapping out décor. Prices have gone up and they’ve eliminated their Prime Card discount(which for anyone that works at MS knows, that can really boost the cost of eating there– can’t blame them, but that may have been a bad move.) Lastly, my favorite item, the nachos, are great, but now at $ 12 for something like 5 pounds of nachos isn’t worth it. It’s just overkill, especially if you’re getting entrees. They used to offer a half size, but again, another change and I have another reason to go elsewhere.

Amazingly bad. Went three times in three days starting on Valentine’s day. Day 1: errors but decent overall. Day 2: errors and bad food, good manager(Teg) salvaged ok resolution. Day 3: errors, bad food(some wrong, some rotten, some in bad shape), lazy staff(barely moving), rude staff(Ivy, designated to help the manager avoid complaints it seemed), hostile manager(Gunner, didn’t like being required to do his job.) We’re not going to this location again. Bad as the Bothell location. Canyons is over unless they discover they depend on me, the customer, not the other way around.

Pros: * attentive, friendly service Cons: * overpriced, average food * loud setting — feels like a bar * lackluster menu * took awhile to get our food Sadly, I won’t be coming back and probably won’t recommend my friends, either.

Been here only once, and will certainly come back in the near future. I’d make this review six stars if I could. As by recommendation by a friend, I came in for late lunch and happy hour during a Seahawks game. I chose to sit at one of the tables by the window instead of at the bar for optimal viewing of the game. Nonetheless, it was very easy for me to watch the game from where I was sitting given the fact that a plethora of TV’s were feng shui’d by some master of interior design. On that note, I noticed that the inside had brilliant space distribution upon sitting at my table. The walkway was spacious and the tables were spaced in a way that was both intimate but not intruding. I was immediately greeted by my server upon sitting down, and before I could say«what do you have on tap?» three times, I was brought the perfect pint. My server Taylor made a note to spend extra time at our table since it was our first time here to make sure we had a good time, and it certainly didn’t go unnoticed! I wanted to go for a modest salad, but was talked into the steak & prawns. I wake up each morning to thank God for vesting me with the proper judgment to accept his suggestion. I don’t possess a large culinary vocabulary, so I’ll keep my description to one word — divine. Have you ever had food so good that you suddenly become sad, knowing that eventually you will eat it all and there will be no more left? Throughout the whole game, I was brought water refills and our table was checked up on frequently. The staff there is super laid back, yet professional. They make you feel like you’re part of a family. Chain or not, this place is a gem and I will be recommending this place to everyone in the future. Good food, service with a smile, lovely ambiance… what’s not to like?

The Good: The Dry ribs were delicious, my ultimate burger was pretty good. The Signature burger looked good too. The fries were pretty good and the Light and Stormy was pretty tasty as well. The cook was very friendly and so were the waitresses. The Bad: The slaw with the ribs was day old, wilted cabbage that tasted like it had been on the plate for days while they reheated the ribs for our order. The waitresses both were inattentive on a non-busy day, as well as doing a few workplace inappropriate activities. I got a water replacement(8 oz glass) when I got my bill. Some of the fries were very stale, so it seemed like they mixed new with very old. The Dark and Stormy was made with regular rum, not dark rum. The Ugly: Seeing wait staff work untamed hair over tea and water pitchers. Knowing the coffee is brewed and stored in carafe’s, not brewed after ordering. Conclusion: I guess we waited too long to visit this place. Because it seems like they don’t try anymore.

How I heard of this place: After having shared an evening of prayers and spiritual food at the Redmond Baha’i Center, friends wanted to go out for a bite to eat and some light conversation. Walking through the parking lot to Soul Food Books & Café, it was quickly realized that they were closing soon and hosting a large number of patrons at a concert. So we switched gears, walked further through the parking lot and into Canyons. Type of cuisine: A variety of options, which includes something for everyone; from tender Baby Back Ribs, Sizzling Fajitas and Juicy Burgers to Crisp Specialty Salads, Spicy Fish Tacos, Outrageous Burritos, Tasty Wraps and much more. Their website boasts that the«food is fresh, has been carefully prepared and is unique in flavor and style. Our Tap Room features an extensive lineup of regional handcrafted and bottled beers, varietal wines and a proud selection of spirited libations.» Ambiance: A unique atmosphere with a southwestern flair, filled with artwork, metallic sculptures, rock carvings and«inspirational mural depicting cave wall images from around the world that seem to transcend time and man himself». What I ordered: The four of us at the establishment chose to share two bar appetizers and one ice cream sundae. One order of steak quesadillas($ 9) with the addition of sour cream($ 0.79) and guacamole($ 0.79) and one order of the ultimate nachos($ 8.50) with chicken and the additional sour cream and guacamole. The ice cream sundae($ 3.99) came with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, maraschino cherries and a side of peanuts. What I loved: I loved the huge pile of nachos and the jalapneos atop! The steak, onion and cheese quesadilla had great flavor, a slightly sweeter tortilla and was reminiscent of a plate of fajitas! Why I loved it: The service was quick and friendly and the bar area served food well into the evening(we were there until nearly midnight!). Cost: Average($ 8-$ 10 for late-night bar food, without happy hour prices)

Our server Diana was awesome! She kept our drinks full and went out of her way to make sure our daughter enjoyed her food as well. It’s refreshing to have such good service! We had shrimp tacos, pasta with white sauce and butter chicken. All of the dishes were very tasty. And I’m looking forward to our next visit to try other menu items since it all looked yummy!

Back again this past Friday and, as usual, the food was excellent! Cobb Salad(the best) and Prime Rib dip(wonderful). Everything we have tried at Canyons has been excellent. However, even better than the food, last Friday, was the fact that our old favourite sports bar manager, Dave(formerly from The Game, Kirkland) is now at Canyons. He will be in the bar on all football days, and hopefully more and anybody that knows of Dave, knows what that means! We have been to The Game a couple of times, since Dave and his son, Nick, left and it has really lost«IT». There is no excitment anymore. Well, we had planned to watch the game at our home in Bellingham, on Friday, but, we WILL be at Canyons. We had the priviledge of meeting Dave’s beautiful wife Karina. What great conversation! Welcome Dave! So good to see you again! Canyons is so fortunate to have you. We also thoroughly enjoy the owner, Gunnar. He loves his customers and is a huge sports fan! CANYONS, the place to go for SEAHAWKS!

This is a review of dinner with a friend at Canyons Restaurant and Bar. The staff was very very friendly. They were also polite, effective, and efficient. We were quickly seated. Our server followed up soon after to check to see if we were ready to order. She was very patient when we asked for some extra time. The meal flowed at a good pace. The server checked in often to insure everything was a-ok. The ambiance reminds me of a large chain dinner house. It is very dark. I am really not sure why they keep the space so dark. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. They have both tables and chairs and booths for seating. Quality-wise, the food was pretty much right down Main Street. They have a varied menu with Tex-Mex, American, Burgers, Pasta, Sandwiches, etc… Carne Asada — The portion was very large. The dish was good but not great. The meat was tender and relatively flavourful. The rice and beans were good enough but lacked any pizzazz. The vegetables were slightly overcooked. Overall though, I enjoyed the dish. But there isn’t anything about it that really stood out. This is another aspect of Canyons Restaurant and Bar that reminded me of a large dinner house chain. My friend had the Caliente Carbonara. The price was around $ 47 for dinner for two(+two beers). Overall — The service was very friendly. It was the highlight of the dining experience. The food was average. The varied menu is a plus if trying to meet the needs of a group with varied tastes. I would prefer if they would turn the lights up. While it did the trick for this dinner, Canyons Restaurant and Bar is simply not a place I will frequent. It is not bad but it is also not that great.
