I recently went into the Redmond Radio Shack to purchase a USB external battery pack. I was helped by Ray, the store Manager, who was super helpful. He walked me through different options, and explained the pro’s and con’s of one model/type over the other. I decided on the 16 hour charging pack, but they were sold out. Ray was kind enough to lend me a demo model he had in store, which I thought was incredibly kind. His generosity did not go un-noticed! I will be shopping at the Redmond Radio Shacxk for all of my electronic needs in the future.

While the girls picked up crochet supplies, I stopped by to pick up an extra iPhone power cable. The place was empty except for the clerk and me so I also asked him about tablet covers. All said, in and out in 5 minutes and under $ 50 which is not bad. Too bad it’s rumored these places are doomed in the near future. I hope not.

I had a super nice experience at this Radioshack, the employees were nice and courteous and went out of their way to call up another store and ask them to hold a couple of phones for us which were out of stock in this store. Truly deserve the 5 stars !

I needed a new wireless router, so I went to this Radio Shack. The first problem had is that they have a very limited selection. The second problem I had was that the router I did decide to buy had a gross pricing error. It was marked as $ 79.99 on the shelf tag, but the clerk instead rang it up as $ 200. Well, $ 200 was the price he stuck with, so I looked at the limited other options. The third problem was the clerks then could not agree which of these very few other options there I should buy. As they debated it with each other I walked next door to Staples and bought one there instead. So, to sum up, bad service, inaccurate pricing, and terrible selection. Skip this Radio Shack if you need a wireless router.

Prior to my trip to Europe for business last month, I purchased an adapter/converter from RadioShack. It was defective. I was not able to charge my electric razor or my cell phone, even for 5 minutes, while on my trip. Having a dead phone and a dead razor for two weeks on this trip was not a convenience. To top things off, when I went to the store this morning to return the item(as I am getting close to my 30 day limit on returns), the store was not open. In the store window, it says their hours are 9:00AM to 9:00PM Monday through Friday(today is Tuesday). At 9:00AM the door was locked. I came back at about 9:15AM and the door was still locked. Okay, so RadioShack probably doesn’t have many customers, so no real reason to unlock the door, I guess. Regardless, they have lost me as a customer forever, and I shall do what I can within my(fairly considerable) sphere of influence to steer people away from RadioShack. Avoid.
