Redmond Tire Factory

When we need new tires, alignments and oil changes we head straight for Redmond Tire Factory. We are always given two or three options for tires and believe they have been honest and accurate with the information provided. They have never attempted to sell us «more tire» than we need. As a woman, who usually brings our family’s cars in for service, I find Joe very easy to talk with. He is professional and communicates clearly. Although the phones ring and people enter the shop, I have never seen Joe rush a customer. Last visit he had a lengthy conversation in Spanish with a customer. Although other tire businesses are nearby, we will continue to bring our cars to Redmond Tire Factory! We are satisfied, long term customers.

This is a top notch business. I’ve been going there for many years and always get great treatment. Also they sell Nokian tires which are a perfect match for northwest winters!

I have been twice and had great experiences both times. The managers are knowledgable, friendly, and honest about differentiating work that could be done from work that really needs to be done. First visit was to swap out seasonal tires and get an oil change… fast and reasonable price. Just went back to replace rear brake disks and rotors and again got a great price. I actually got that work done and their top-​end oil change for substantially less than the pre-​tax quote for just the brake work at Honda of Seattle! (I think saving about $ 80). I’ll definitely be back if they keep delivering service like that!

1. IF you think you are saving with a coupon… YOU ARE NOT! They tried to pull a fast one and not honor the correct discount… and then nickel and dime you! $ 1.99 to add a little windshield washer??? Ah, NO…
2. Inept at a simple oil change, that took over 1 HOUR to do… I got in the car, the oil change sticker was WRONG… and the SERVICE engine light still on.
I requested that it be reset (simple to do) and because I was a woman, they told me that only the Dealership can do that… I said no, Youtube it… which he walked away, I Youtube it, and reset it (extremely EASY) and the two «technicians» couldn’t do it!!!
NO I WOULD NOT trust my vehicle to be TOUCHED by these guys.

First, the tire I ordered the day before was not there when promised. Second, they did not call when the tire finally did come in as I asked. Third, when I went and had the tire installed they did not replace the hubcap. Fourth, I just found out that they didn’t put my spare tire back, either, so now I have no spare! I will take my business elsewhere!
Addition: after attempting to reach the business by phone and getting no response, I drove back yesterday and while they did accept responsibility for the mistake (and I do believe it was genuinely a mistake) and returned my spare and replaced my hubcap) I have had enough mishaps with them to go elsewhere. I just wanted to ad that I think it is commendable that they did make it right, even though I wasn’t offered an apology, more of a sheepish, «oops». I figured out that in travel time and time spent at the shop it was over eight full hours on this single issue. Not acceptable.

I like them because they are honest and straightforward. I will go to them without ever having to think about it. Customer service is awesome to boot.

I’m going to revise my review downwards on this place.
We recently took the Jeep here to get work done — ATF flush and coolant change. Turns out a few months later, after taking it to a different shop for a different set of work, the transmission fluid pan was leaking because the bolts were over-​torqued when they did the work. When you got under the car it’s pretty clear there was a leak. That’s a big reason why we decided to get rid of the car.
So yeah, that’s not so great. Add to that the constant need to closely scrutinize the bill anytime we get work done (they’ve charged us multiple times for rotation despite ‘free rotation’ when you buy the tires here), and the fact that they’re really not a very cheap place to get work done, and we’ll be looking elsewhere next time.

They guys here are always helpful and try to give you the best price they can.

I visited the garage today to fix my tire. it got a nail in a debate area but Joe and his folks fixed it well. I went to two other stores before coming to Joe’s. They said it must be replaced without a second thought, which I didn’t quite believe. Joe gave me a reasonable solution and he is doing the business from the point of customers. I really appreciated it. I definitely don’t want to have another nail in my tire. But this store is the one I will revisit in the future if there is a need.

Yeah, yeah, yeah… the work done was great like others have already mentioned.
We can argue about whether the price is good or not all day…
But what I really wanted to focus on was the quality of the service. I think that’s underrated nowadays. And it’s in this checkmark, that this place shoots a mile above the rest.
First of, they open at 7 AM. I’m not a morning person, but today I had to be at a doctor’s appointment at 9 AM. Just as I arrived at the doctor’s office, I noticed my car’s right front tire was going flat. So, I looked up a place to go, and this one was open (yay!). I rushed there, and asked if they could take care of that, which they did.
A few minutes later, my car was ready to go, and I was ready to pay…
…except that I had forgotten my wallet at home. I explained what had happened, and Joe let me go without threats or warnings. I’m sure he wasn’t very sure I was gonna come back to pay. But I really appreciated the trust.
If you’re reading this far, I don’t recommend «forgetting» your wallet next time you go there for service – not sure that they’ll make a habit of letting customers with unpaid bills walk out that easy, but it’s just a token of the caliber of people that work there, and I wanted to publicly thank and cherish that.
PS: I’ve settled my bill with them already :)

I was planning on going to Discount Tire to replace my drivers side front tire which had extremely low tread due to my alignment being off and my crazy driving style.
I noticed on Unilocal that this place was closer and had 0.5 more stars in the reviews, so I went to the page for Tire Factory and found a coupon to save me $ 25. That coupon would have saved me about $ 15 over Discount Tire, but I elected for the better tires that have a longer lifespan. I ended up paying only $ 15 more than I would have at Discount Tire, and got better tires (roughly $ 25 more expensive). If I’m doing the math right that means I saved about $ 35 total.
Also the service was very fast.
This place definitely lives up to its five star reviews!

I recently got my BMW 3 series run flat tires replaced here. They beat the quote of BMW showroom by almost 50% and the process was practically pain free. Great prices and friendly staff. Upon delivery of the vehicle, I found a couple of minor stuff annoying. 1) the sensor light in the dashboard was not reset 2) the air pressure on the tires was not set to optimum recommended. I had to make a trip to the BMW showroom to get those items fixed.

Funny, Some say the pricing is great. Maybe they don’t shop much. Got new tires for the wifes car and found the same tire at GoodYear who makes that brand so they gave me a credit for the difference on the tires. Went back this month to buy some tires for my truck and their prices were completely out of line. Tired to get my credit back and got nothing but the run around. Don’t know if I’ll have any success. Nice people but, they need to reconfigure their pricing. Too bad.

I am revising my review somewhat due to new information.
I used to go to this place for all of my tires (cars, pickup trucks, etc.), but there have been two problems recently that force me to stay by my decision to take my business elsewhere.
About a year ago, my girlfriend took her car in for service. The next day, there was oil leaking all over the driveway. Turns out that they had put the wrong oil filter on. To be fair, they did fix the problem, and I know that nobody is perfect, but having worked in this business, I feel like this is a pretty significant error, and can lead to major engine problems.
As to the issue with my car, I was shocked by the attitude of the person who was «helping» me that day.
Less than 2 years ago, I took my car in for a front-​end alignment and two new tires for the front, because the old ones were worn badly n the outside edge. Less than 2 years and 20,000 miles later, I noticed the front tires were again bald on the outside edges. Not just worn, but completely bald, as no tread left whatsoever. Assuming the front end alignment either hadn’t been done or done wrong, I took the car in. The guy checked the records, looked at the tires, and said «the new tires you bought are on the back.»
As background, I use old tires on my property, so I always ask them to put the old ones in the trunk instead of recycling them. When I had the tires changed 2 years ago, I discovered that they had NOT put them in my trunk, and when I called, they said «oh, well, if you come back down we can give you a pair of old ones, but we don’t know which ones are yours.»
While I have no proof, it appeared to me that they had replaced the rear tires (some places will sell used tires with a lot of tread left), and took the front tires off the rims and reversed them so the worn outer edge was now turned in where I couldn’t see it. In college, I had worked for a time at a garage that did tires, and this sort of shenanigans was not uncommon with some employees, so I’m not just some conspiracy theorist making stuff up. While I can’t prove this is what was done, and I can’t say the owner knew about it, I know what my belief is.
But regardless of what did or did not happen back then the bottom line is this. Two tires with less than 20,000 miles on them showed far more than the 40,000 guaranteed (after 40,000 they should still have tread, even if not legal depth, but certainly should not be entirely bald on one side). And by the employee’s own admission the new tires had been put on the rear instead of the front, even though the front tires were the ones I wanted replaced.
The employee insisted that the horrific amount of wear was due to me not rotatinng the tires enough. Ask anyone who knows anything about tires, and they will tell you that yes, front tires will wear faster if not rotated, but no, they will not be after less than 20,000 miles.
Yet the employee insisted that it was 100% my fault that the tires had worn out, and he’d be happy to sell me two new ones. At full price, of course. Plus mounting and balancing. I said «no thanks. I’m to buy my tires some place where they stand by their product.» He said «yeah, whatever. I’ve got plenty to do.»
Since posting my original review, which was much harsher, I have received a call from someone identifying himself as the owner. Unfortunately, it was early morning and I was still asleep, so when he asked if the problem had been resolved, I said yes and thanked him and hung up. He called again later and left a message saying that his records didn’t show them resolving the problem so could I please call him.
I guess he didn’t understand that when I said the probelm had been resolved, I meant that I already gone elsewhere to buy tires. (I went to the Kirkland Goodyear, and found them to be friendly, helpful, and very reasonably priced for a quality product. In fact, there was a glitch in their website that accidentally gave me the 4-​tire dscount for 2 sale tires, but they honored the (wrong) price anyway.)
The guy who called seems like a nice, earnest guy, but, as the lawyers say, «you can’t unring a bell.» Whoever was on desk duty that day (some very large guy with dark hair) was insulting and thought he could intimidate or fool me, as if I’m going to buy new tires every 15 or 20,000 miles. Maybe it would have been different if the owner had been there, but I can’t patronize a store where it’s a coin toss as to whether I’m going to get even minimal courtesy and support. Even if the problem was somehow my fault, which I have yet to meet anyone who could explain how, you don’t have to be a jerk about it.

I have been going to this place for a while now. Got a flat tire yesterday and went here for a repair with a coupon. They fixed it right away without charging anything! That’s right, FREE! And they also checked air pressure on other tires and replaced the spare with the fixed tire. This is as good as it gets. I highly recommend them and will go again for all my car needs.

Have been coming to them for years with all my cars from the BMW to the honda to the gmc. They are always considerate of my budget and always have great alternative to get me by. New or used tires these guys are great!

I have done business here for over 5 years.
They always go above and beyond, and I trust them completely.
Would never go anywhere else!

My afternoon and tire were ruined by an unfortunate industrial staple. I called them less than half an hour before closing and they could take me right away. It took all of five minutes and I was on my way! Cheerful, fast, and reasonably priced. My evening was saved!

My husband and I were driving back home to Maryland after a visit to relatives in Washington, when the night before we were planning to leave, I found a bulge in the sidewall of a front tire. I checked online and found the Redmond Tire Factory opened at 7 am, so we arrived at the store the next morning just as they opened. After looking at the tire, we were told that the sidewall had been damaged and we needed to replace the tire. Since our tires only had about 6 months left before they needed to all be replaced, we decided to replace all the tires. We were told they could have our tires sent over from their warehouse by 12 pm, but when we told them we wanted to get on the road back home before that, they expedited our service and our new tires were on the car, the alignment was done, and we were ready to go a little after 9 am. I usually buy our car tires at our local Costco, so am used to a tire job taking all day. What a pleasure it was receiving such fast service!
My husband and I were impressed by the fast, friendly and professional service at the Redmond Tire Factory. I highly recommend getting your tires here.
