Redmond Way Dentistry

Been going here for over a year now and have had a great experience every time. The staff is very friendly, and I’ve never had to wait for my appointment long at all after arrival. The hygienist always does a great job and explains everything well. Both dentists that I have seen are very friendly and knowledgeable. So happy to have found a great dentist!

Used to LOVE this practice with Dr Hogg. It seems like they’ve gone through quite a few dentists after he left. The last time I was there, I witnessed another patient getting upset with the hygenist for something (not sure what) and then leave in a quiet huff. I also overheard a very quick and sounding-​like-​reading-​from-​a-​dental-​textbook assessment by the dentist that sounded so impersonal and generic. I also witnessed the front desk completely overloaded with calls and not able to handle calls and people, putting people on hold left and right, etc. There are so many dentists in this area — don’t settle for this place.

Just had my first visit here and it was great! Staff was very welcoming and kind. I had a cleaning done (first one in a few years) and they were very gentle, sometimes you go there and they just tear your mouth apart, but not here! Couldn’t have asked for a better first-​time experience at this location.

I thought I would never say this but I like going to the dentist now, after I started going to Redmond Way. Staff is very friendly, professional and make it easy since they are open on weekends to work into your schedule. I appreciate the reminders sent before the appointment as I keep forgetting after booking six months in advance. The doctors vary from time to time but I guess it has to be that i schedule my visits on Saturdays. Thank you for your flexible schedule.

I first ended up in Redmond Way Dentistry due to a need for an emergency tooth removal. That was a rough process purely because of the situation, but Dr Koogler was fast and efficient, and did an outstanding job. And both he and the rest of the staff were very responsive to my frequent phone-​calls during recovery as I panicked about whether it was healing properly.
I’ve now also had a standard new-​patient appointment and cleaning, and the hygienist was thorough, effective, and didn’t subject me to much pain despite the fact that I hadn’t been to the dentist in quite awhile.
So far I’ve had no complaints, and I would recommend this denstist to anyone.

This place was a nice change from my previous dentist! The teeth cleaning was quick and painless and my dental hygienist was so nice. She let me know what she was doing beforehand and showed me my x-​rays and explained what was what.
I do have to go back to have fillings removed and re-​drilled which is never fun by the dentist was incredibly nice explaining the process and helping me through the breakdown of price.

Really disappointed in my experience here. I had made an appointment about a month in advance here, received several reminders via email and text that the appointment was upcoming and confirmed, and I then showed up about 10 minutes prior, ready for my cleaning and examination.
Upon showing up, I was immediately asked if I’d checked my voicemail. It turns out, the office had called me 5 minutes prior (i.e. 15 minutes before my confirmed appointment was scheduled) to let me know that the dental hygienist had gone home sick nearly 2 hours prior. There wasn’t anyone else available, so they offered me an appointment about 3 weeks later. When I asked why I hadn’t been called when the hygienist had gone home, there wasn’t a clear answer, which was immensely frustrating.
I asked to be placed on a waitlist for the coming weeks. I was called later that day and offered a time that didn’t work out with my schedule, but was never called again (it’s now been a month and a half). Very frustrating — I won’t bother scheduling with them in the future.

Had a great experience here. Didn’t have a dentist in the area after moving here so I first came in after breaking a tooth off in a frozen Snickers bar after years of neglect. Expected a lot of guilting but everybody was nice and professional with more of a «Yep, we’ll fix this» attitude.
Have since gone back for a cleaning and some fillings. Happy to have my mouth back on track!

I highly recommend this office. I chose this office based on Unilocal and Google reviews and was not disappointed. Hygienist was very thorough and nice. Dr Koogler was great. He spent a lot of time answering my questions. I left only needing to watch a few areas and my next cleaning is set in 6 months.

After moving to a new place, I wanted to find a dental place which is closer. After research a little bit, I found Redmond Way Dentistry on Unilocal.Based on its straight 5-​star review, I made an appointment with them right away. The cleaning was great. The hygienist was super nice, gentle, and considerate. However, after initial exam, Dr. Koogler told me my teeth has lots of cavities, which totally surprised me because I never had any cavity before. So I stopped going there and went back to my old dentist. Guess what? My old dentist told me I have no cavity but some stains. I feel so happy that I chose to stay away from dental place and went back to my old dentist!

My last (and beloved) dentist retired and I’ve been on the lookout for a new provider. Done!
I cracked a tooth on Monday, called to schedule an appointment (given Unilocal reviews) on Tuesday and was fixed by 10:30 Wednesday. Grateful.
I was super impressed with the office vibe and every one of their team I encountered.
Spotless, calm, efficient (read no crazy wait times), personable, approachable, reasonably priced and centrally located. The only downside is the parking lot. The practice shares the lot with Trader Joe’s and other businesses. It can become impossible to navigate when busy.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. Before I even had a dentist. I had a dental emergency come up out of the blue. I called Redmond Way Dentistry, and after explaining that I really thought I needed to see the dentist today, they got me into the chair within an hour, even though they were booked up. Identified and the problem, gave me antibiotics and mouthwash, and it was fixed in a week. I had a cleaning yesterday, and it was easily the best experience I ever had at a dentist in my life. The people are are calm, gentle, informative, and thorough. If you’re looking for a great dentist, look no further.

This dentist is the most unprofessional dentist I’ve ever been to. I was in excruciating pain for 4 days have not slept for three nights and I come in and they weren’t willing to do any work until Monday when they could contact my insurance. They gave me a prescription for Vicodin which didn’t do anything. Not to mention the patient areas are divided by cubicle dividers not very private. Did not have a good experience here at all. I ended up going to Gentle Dental they were great! they removed the nerve right at the first visit like Redmond Way Dentistry should have. the staff at Gentle Dental were shocked that Redmond Way Dentistry wouldn’t do anything until Monday considering how much pain I was in

An other terrific experience with this dental group today.
There are many dentistry out there but only Redmond Dentistry take the real care for their patients.
Awesome service, kind employees and super clean office.

UPDATE:
One of the dentist from this group named Paul contacted me about this review few months back when I was in process of seeing another dentist asking me to take down the review and they will pay me $ 500 or whatever it would cost to fix the still paining tooth.
(The tooth that Dr. Koogler worked on and put crown is in same pain as it was before I went to see him). I had refused to take down the review.
My new dentist had recommended me to see an orthodontist for a root canal evaluation. And it turns out that I need a root canal on the tooth which Dr. Koogler worked on to put crown. It’s as if all the pain and time I had put in at that time, now I have to go through the same again on the same tooth. When I again confronted Paul about this, they agreed to reimburse full amount I had paid from my pocket which is very nice of them hence I am updating my rating and this review. All the reimbursed amount + some more from my pocket will now go towards getting a root canal (costing 1600+ per tooth).
Based on my experience, please (at least) get a second opinion before you go see Dr. Koogler so you don’t have to waste money nor go through pain or waste time etc before you get any tooth work done from him.

Highly don’t recommend this place.
I went to see this dentist based on Unilocal and Google reviews. After initial exam, Dr. Koogler said i need atleast 2 crown moldings and 6+ fillings costing well over $ 3000. Insurance paid some and i had to pay around $ 1500+ from my pocket. Got everything done in one go. During the time he burned my mouth in 3 different places. I understand minor burns are expected but didn’t he realize that the tools were malfunctioning while working on the teeth? I had 3 major burns and it was very painful which lasted for weeks. I went to see him about this and gave prescription meds.
No call from the dentist or the receptionist asking how am i doing as some people were praising in their reviews.
Not only the burns, initially i was said they will put ceramic crown but the day when i went to replace fake with ceramic, i came to know that it’s porcelain and not ceramic as the dentist was referring to use red plastic to test biting as it works well with porcelain. Couldn’t even confront them about this as i was on anesthetic and couldn’t talk. After they replaced the crown, i started feeling very bad pain when chewing or drinking anything. When i called the office, they said they don’t have any opening. Seriously??? Shows how they care for their patients once they got their money. Suggested one time which didn’t work and when asked if they have anything else, they said «no openings, sorry». Unbelievable!!!
When i confronted them how easy it was to take my money and now they don’t have an opening? They finally setup an appointment with another dentist. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

For being someone who avoids the dentist, I actually had a very pleasant experience here. The staff is very friendly, the place is very clean, and they are very thorough.
All together, no complaints just positive things to say! I would definitely recommend Redmond Way for anyone who needs a dentist, especially those who dread going to have their teeth looked at.

I’m not a fan of the dentist, but Rachel was excellent — super professional and did a great job. There have been changes in the dentist itself as the old dentist sold the practice, so I have no experience with the new guy. The office staff is nice and the office equipment is technologically new (digital x rays with monitors at each chair).

Being nearly 30 and never having been to a dentist sounds kind of unreal, but that’s the truth of it. I had some pretty high anxiety about visiting a dentist but after my experiences with Redmond Way Dentistry, all those anxieties have been removed.
Each visit, I was greeted by a very lovely receptionist who I enjoyed chatting with while I waited for my schedules appointment time. Following those conversations, I met with Rachel, Dr Shaw, and her assistant to get cleanings and fillings. They were all super sweet and did a great job assessing the problems with my teeth and following up with fixing and applying preventative care. On 4 separate visits, I never experienced any unnecessary delays and all staff members were prompt with their services.
The facility and management was also top notch. The spaces are clean, look new and fancy, and the manager Gary always seemed to have a positive and friendly vibe.
5 stars, BAM! See you again in April!

I had a great first experience at Redmond Way, having moved to the area earlier this year. Everyone there was very friendly, and I didn’t wait more than 5 minutes before seeing an assistant. My teeth cleaning was thorough but not painful.
The dentist has a good eye – he caught a cavity that didn’t show on the x-​ray. When it came time to fill it, I felt no pain during or the days after. Most impressive to me was that the dentist called to follow up and ask how I was doing. I’ve never had that before, at least not at a dentist.
Overall I left very impressed. There’s a very high level of care and I can tell that the doctor-​patient relationship means something to them.

Excellent! A dental experience has three components:
The staff: they understand how billing works and resolve your issues, sparing you the misery.
First, Dr Koogler really takes his time reviewing your case. Second, he develops a plan with you to achieve the best results. Third, if you require specialty services, he knows excellent oral surgeons that are networked by most plans. Fourth, he and his staff understand that the dentist can be stressful and they are determined to make the experience successful and as relaxed as possible.
I highly recommend this dentist office as a true Jewel of Redmond.
