Recently stopped here for lunch, and the sandwich I had here was one of the best I’ve ever had. They did forget my fries and served them late, but other than that I was very impressed with the quality of the food.

Almost a 5.. .. Except if you’re eating with kids. The food was awesome. I had the Paleo OMG and it was tasty with a great blend of flavor. It was filling while still feeling light. My husband had the California sandwich and said it was«as close to perfect as a sandwich gets» and thanked the chef when we were done. The only drawback for us was the menu didn’t have kid options(but to be fair, my kids are very plain in their tastes). I didn’t expect a kids menu, but I thought there would be a way to make just a turkey or cheese sandwich. Not a huge problem, but know before you go! Overall, will definitely eat there again!

I rarely write reviews, but I have to with this place. I ordered through grub hub and was so excited with the healthy food options, I over ordered to try more: fireman’s chili, charred Brussels sprouts, fire roasted curry cauliflower popcorn, & paleo OMG. I can’t wait to eat the leftovers! The food arrived in a reasonable time. The delivery man kept the food in 2 insulated bags to keep things hot and cold, and boy were they! I’m so used to room temperature delivery on grub hub, so this was a wonderful surprise. You can tell the food was made from scratch with fresh quality ingredients. The taste wasn’t even close to bland. The spices, cooking techniques, and pairings made the taste bold with unique textures and kept me entertained! I cannot wait to order from them again! Made by Meg: keep adding/updating the menu because you may end up being the only place I grub hub from again!!! Maybe add breakfast? THANKYOU!

I had the California coastal chicken sandwich. The place is small and the hours are limited. However, when I got there there weren’t any menus to look at. The cashier was nice enough to try to explain the menu items written on the board and what was on the actual menu. The sandwich was OK and a little small and light on the chicken for the price. I’m sure the catering business does well but I would look elsewhere for a good sandwich as you can do much better for the price.

Really good food. I was too hungry and I eat fast. No pictures. However, I got the Coastal California sandwich with garlic fries. Shared with my husband and that was enough for both of us. They have kombucha!!!

The. Best. Sandwiches. Anywhere. Just plain amazing. I am a sandwich LOVER! I love sandwiches and Meg knows what is up. I always get it To Go because it really isnt a place you eat AT. Not a lot of places to sit and they seem busy preparing for whatever catering they are doing and squeezing in the sandwich part for the general public. I am glad about that because otherwise I wouldnt have the opportunity to eat such deliciousness. Hours are limited during the week, but you must go if you are like me and you are a fan of the sandwich.

Wanted good food while in Redondo Beach for the weekend, found Meg’s. It’s awkwardly located in a strip plaza on the PCH. But DONOT let that stop you from coming in. Awesome food choices in a small, condensed menu. I had the brick house«sandie». Awesome, fresh, tasty… Couldn’t ask for more!

Seeing as how my name is Meg, I just HAD to check this place out. It did not disappoint! My fiancé and stopped by here on a day spent full of confirming final wedding details in Redondo Beach. We were on the hunt for something quick and healthy… which can be a challenge. I had the«Beets Me» salad and he had the«Coastal Californian» sandwich. Both were simple and done really well. Neither came with a side but the portions were nice. We both checked in on Unilocal for a free cookie. They were out of chocolate chip(our favorite!!) so we settled for a lemon white chocolate chip and a gingerbread. I loved my lemon cookie! We will certainly be back for a tasty quick lunch next time we are in the neighborhood.

It’s never a bad thing when your salad comes with bacon bits – and when those bacon bits are cooked til crunchy? We’re talking good times here. I mean, how could we not be? And when the company is good and the food is great? A sure recipe for success. And that’s exactly what Made By Meg is! An assuming little hot spot in Redondo, this bright Tiffany-blue joint is a great little spot for those looking for lighter fare, but unwilling to compromise for flavor. Specializing in salads and sandwiches, «you really can’t go wrong with your selection», the waitress chirped. And you may not believe her, but this is definitely one of those you-had-to-have-been-there…rather, one of those you-had-to-have-eaten-there types of deals. Because in complete honesty, once you do and once you have, you just can’t go about not believing her. I ordered the Paleo OMG salad, which came with bacon bits, candied pecans, avocado, grilled onions, and a lemony vinaigrette.(The salads also came with grilled chicken for a small additional fee). It was a balanced symphony of flavors – the sweetness of the onions paired with the creaminess of the avocados… the sweet crunch from the pecans counterbalancing the saltiness of the bacon… all tied together by the acidity in the vinaigrette – truly, absolutely and beautifully harmonious was what it was. If it wasn’t so horribly rude and wrong, I may have licked the plate clean… I don’t know whether it was something in the air, the water, or the bacon, but I was in love. It may have also been that free cookie after checking in. Say what? Thank. You. Meg!

This place is driving the bus to flavor town. Beets Me salad and turkey sandwich is out-of-bounds. So money.

Meg went above and beyond for a wedding we worked on together in July 2015. We had some issues with rentals and she managed to bring some of her own personal items to help out. Her staff was incredible! They were so nice and always willing to help out. I always appreciate caterers that stay to do the walkthru as well. As a wedding planner it’s so important that I have vendors I can depend on and Meg and her team at Made by Meg are on the top of my list. Thanks again Meg for everything that you did and for the AMAZING food you served!

If you’re looking for a gourmet sandwich that’s light, yet filling and delicious — this is the place to come! I always get mine to go but there are a few seats if you dine in.

My favorite sandwich/salad place in Redondo Beach! Love how small and cute it is inside. They have all kinds of fun drinks to choose from. My personal favorite sandwich is the Spring Turkey! It has Roasted Turkey, Brie, Pears, and a Walnut Aioli on Multigrain Bread. SOGOOD! I have also had their Paleo OMG salad a few times and it is so good. We usually get one of each of their sides… all are delicious! The music is great. The people are friendly. You can sit inside or outside. Can’t wait to go back :-)

Landed in Redondo from NM looking for a unique place that served up simple food with fresh ingredients. Searched on Unilocal and started off on my 1 mile walk. Was the walk worth it? Yes! Got a turkey sandwich with pear and cheese. Really good. Quite a small place with limited seating. They seem to do a bit of catering so maybe check them out for your event. Nice place

Had lunch here today for the first time and it was delicious! I’m so happy I live down the street because I will be coming back! I had the California coastal and garlic fries and the bacon jam is to die for! wish there was a little more chicken in the sandwich for the price but still worth every bite!

This review is based solely off my experience from having their sandwiches catered at a birthday party. I was blown away from the sandwiches I had, and had to ask where they were from(made by meg!). Typically, catered /party foods are hit or miss bc it is based off quantity over quality. This was not the case, I was eating little sandwiches left & right at this party. What stood out were the Roast beef and California chicken sandwiches. Yum. I do hope to make a visit to the counter soon, whenever it is open. Hope I don’t encounter any of those bad review points!

I have tried to come here oh so many times, but their hours are very limited. They are open for lunch only, 11:30AM — 3:00PM, Tuesday through Saturday.(«Happy hour» is 1:00PM-2:00PM, during which the menu is buy one get one.) Finally, I made it! It is generally a kitchen which is used for Meg Hall’s catering company. In front, there is a small order counter with a counter with three bartsools and a small table for three. There are also two 4-tops out front on the sidewalk. It is a very modern vibe — metal tables and seats. The color palette is seafoam and white. The music is awful — techno rap? We arrived at noon, and there was one«dude» working. Poor guy couldn’t get into the computer system, but he called the boss to get the password, took our order and got to work.(He was a one many show — taking orders, filling orders, and distributing orders.) He said that it would be 10 minutes for our food, and I think that it was less. Impressive! The food was a-okay, but it was nothing special and had some real misses. I wanted soup, but they(and I quote) «had not yet made it.»(When, after noon, are you going to make soup for a lunch place?) We split: Squash it to Me Salad($ 9.25) — mixed greens were tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette and topped with roasted cubes of butternut squash, candied pecans, caramelized onions and a hunk of burrata. First of all, the burrata was nearly sour, was very spongy, and was inedible. I gave it the two bite taste to make sure that I was not losing my mind — disgusting. The greens were fresh and tossed in a minimal amount of vinaigrette, which is perfect. The squash is not a «summer squash» as advertised(in fact, its a winter squash), but it was fine. The pecans were the best part — lightly roasted with a hint of cinnamon. Loved these and frankly the only reason that I did not return the salad when I took off the nasty cheese. Charred Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Lemon Butter($ 4) — about 10 Brussels sprouts that were halved and roasted in olive oil with salt and pepper and mixed with lardons of bacon. I tasted no lemon butter whatsoever. The rest of the dish was okay, but it was pretty basic. Nothing special. Fire Roasted Curry Cauliflower Popcorn($ 4) — popcorn? Is this a joke? This dish is merely roasted cauliflower florets that have been seasoned with curry powder. Nothing special; made it a million times at home. Meg breezed in and out a couple of times while we were eating, and she had a smile and a hello. She’s a nice person. It is clear that she is very successful — catering to celebrities, etc. But, this place will not blow your mind. And, watch out for old, sour cheese. Personally, I recommend that you skip it. Check out Source Café in Hermosa if you want fresh, healthy alternatives.

I live fairly close to this place and have been going by it for nearly two years. Tried to stop in several times but they have relatively short lunch hours 11:30 — 3:30pm. It is great to know that there is a small gem in the neighborhood like«Made by Meg». The the majority of their business is on the catering side, but if you’re a lover of specialty sandwiches and salads, this place should be on your bucket list. They also have a great selection of uncommon beverages that are organic and healthy, such as various lemonades and kombucha drinks. I ordered the«Spring turkey sandwich» which consisted of roasted turkey breast with brie cheese, heirloom tomatoes and a walnut aioli on grilled multi-grain bread. It was very tasty and tickled the palate in a pleasant way. The staff there was very friendly as they were preparing food for a catering event. I hope to frequent this great place more in the near future

3.5 stars If you’re looking for a fresh healthy alternative for take out — try this place. Stopped in for lunch based on some other Unilocal reviews. It’s a small place — indoors there are a few stools at a bar and a little table that seats 3; outdoors there are 2 little tables. More of a takeout place though we ate there. One of us had the Autumn Grill sandwich(Farmer’s Market Apples, Arugula with whipped Goat Cheese and Balsamic redux on Parmesan sourdough, minus the grilled Red Onions request) and said it was a tasty combo. Also got the Ahi Ahi Salad — really enjoyed the light and tasty dressing and would def get that again. Their fryer was down so couldn’t try the fries… but so glad as the Roasted Fingerling Potatoes w/Wild Mushrooms and the Roasted Curry Cauliflower were delish. It’s a small menu. Most of the business appears to be geared towards catering but I was pleasantly surprised with the dishes we got — the ingredients were fresh and prepared well. Even though we didn’t know it, they have a ½ off Happy Hour pricing on certain items from 1−2P and rung that up for us.
