Good food, but having a valet in a such a small parking lot is a cheesy and annoying idea.

There are 3 things that I normally look for in a good restaurant, good service, scenery, and food quality. Here is what I thought of W’s China bistro: Service: Our waiter Vaclav made my whole dining experience very enjoyable. He was very pleasant to ask about different menu items and always spoke in an upbeat manner, which in my opinion made the dining experience that much more enjoyable. Scenery: Upon entering the restaurant through the parking lot side, we were greeted and asked how many people(there were 7 of us). We had a reservation and were taken to our table near the front of the restaurant. The scenery is very classy and elaborate with symmetrical art but also a hint of freedom with the design using flowing lines. Besides the cocktail bar there are no tv’s in sight and the restaurant is accompanied with music that usually consists of rock and pop songs that play in the Backround. It is a little noisy but that’s just because there is always a lot of people which is why reservations are preferred when planning to eat here. Food: last but not least there is the food. We got Kung pao chicken, shrimp and lobster, and a couple of other small dishes. Long story short everything was prepared beautifully and it tasted just as good as it looked. The chicken tasted fresh. The different flavor intertwined perfectly and it was an amazing experience all around. I would not hesitate to come back here if I got the opportunity. In my honest opinion, it was one of the best Chinese meals I have had in a long time. All in all W’s makes great food and there is not one thing I can say against them. 5 stars!

It’s very important to be authentic. And it’s important to put it all into perspective. W’s is just like a PF Changs, it’s very dim, nice, modern and hints of China or better Asian styling inside. I have Chinese family, a masterful chef from Szechuan province for a grandmother and business in HK, Beijing, DG and Taiwan. To the point here, I visited alone and ordered 7 dishes, more than enough for a yin & yang meal. The staff are great, my server had been there for 15+ years. The spicy dishes were not spicy at all, so I was able to get more chili peppers on side. The sauces used on the spicy shrimp, and others did have to much salt and thick sauce. The best dish of the 7 dishes was by far the eggplant. Garlic noodles were very good, just not enough spice. All and all, fun spot, lively and modern dim. But the food was a big, big let down. I might go again for garlic noodles.

The food is good but I called in to place a simple order and they said 12 minutes. I got there in 15 and they just put the order in when I arrived. Total 35 minutes for a small order. No happy at all. 2 stars

This restaurant was truly amazing! It definitely satisfied my tastebuds and it was appetizing. The wait time isn’t long at all and the price is neither too cheap nor expensive; the price is just right. Also, try the beef tenderloins. One of the best beef I have ever tasted. :)

Went searching for the best Chinese on the West Side Chrismas eve, I found W’s had 4 stars on Unilocal.Every bit that, and at the end of a wonderful meal, 5STARSISEVENMOREAPPROPRIATE, The four of us loved every shared plate we tried. Great hot and sour soup, lettuce cups, ahi poke and spare ribs for appetizers. For our mains, we shared the crispy prawns and hot pot fish,(accompanied for 2 bucks extra by the garlic noodles) and a side of spicy string beans. Too full for desert. In all great food and service in a comfortable dining environment. Worth the 40 minute trip from Playa Vista. We will be back soon. Note: When I made our rez, I spoke with the manager, Polo. I told him it was to be our first time there and inquired about their corkage fee. Polo said to ask for him, and as it was our first visit, he would waive the $ 15 charge.

My wife brought me here on date night. She was excited for me to try this place since she would come here with friends of hers and she swore there garlic noodles were awesome! So we gave it a shot. We walked in and got seated right away. We also had reservations but there was room to find a seat. They also have free valet Parking. We sat down and of course I checked in on Unilocal and got a free cream cheese wonton appetizer. That was cool and they were very tasty and crispy. We also had there calamari that was also very good but needed to be a little hotter. We ordered there beef broccoli, orange chicken, garlic noodles and spicy shrimp and it was all very good. The garlic noodles were very good along with some chili paste. It was something I have never had before. Orange chicken was tasty and not overwhelming with batter how other places do it. Beef and broccoli is my favorite and the meet was nice and tender and broccoli cooked perfectly. I ate till I couldn’t eat no more and what ever is left over they pack it in it’s own individual container which makes it easier to reheat later. It was a good experience and food was great. With a try if in the area or you want to take a drive. You will not be disappointed. Our waitress was also very good and attentive. Removing plates that were empty, refilling waters and asking if we were doing ok and how everything tasted. Great date night.

I have had 2 dining experiences here at W’s, within the same week… cause the food is so delicious. This place came recommended by a trusted source, and my meal was going to be paid for… so who was I to say no??? During my first experience, I was gearing up for a red eye flight and thought this was a much better alternative to filling up on expensive and crappy airport food. Due to my time crunch, we ordered take out. The food was super hot and seemed to be really fresh. We had ordered the Chur Fun w/chicken and Orange Chicken with a side of steamed white rice. The Chur Fun is a flat/wide noodle that has bean sprouts, scallions and is doused in this yummy soy sauce. We added chicken to our order, but this dish is worthy enough to eat as is. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the taste was out of this world. They must have some other ingredients that go into the soy sauce because this dish had a hint of garlic to it, or maybe that was from the chicken… either way, its a must order dish. The serving size is generous, one order was enough to feed 3 – 4 people. The Orange Chicken is just as delightful as the Chur Fun. The orange flavor was super yummy and the taste did not seem artificial. They use chunks of white meat for your order, so you wont be getting any mystery meat. The chicken had a nice crunchy texture to it, but was not overly crunchy like Panda Express. This order was enough to feed 3 – 4 people as well, and it went great over the white rice. On my way home from my vacation, I was going to be stopping in Redondo again and KNEW that I was going to be making a stop here. I was mostly craving the Chur Fun. I arrived in town and made the drive over to W’s. The place is located on PCH and is next to a Chipotle as well as a Peet’s. Just be sure to park in the lot right behind W’s, and not in the Chipotle lot which is next door, don’t want to get towed. On this visit, I ordered the exact same things… with one new item added to my order, Fried Prawns. These were lightly battered and fried, just like the orange chicken and had a really good flavor… being that close to the ocean I would hope that it was super fresh. The app came with 8 pcs. The food only took about 20 minutes and what is really cool is that you can walk down the hallway and look in this giant port-hole type window and watch the chef’s prepare your meal, its kind of fun for a minute. The wait staff was really great, I took some leftovers and said I would be eating some in the car during the rest of my trip and they provided me with some nice cartons and utensils. The staff is super friendly and the place was really clean… no complaints. I cant wait to go back and I highly recommend to anyone wanting some good Chinese food along with fast and friendly service, and reasonable prices. Be sure to check-in when visiting and redeem your Cream Cheese Wonton app, don’t forget like I did.

I decided after 2 years I would try this place again. I just spent $ 50.65 for a to go order. First of all they said it would be ready and it wasn’t. I waited another 25 min. for it. The Mongolian Beef tasted like fish. The fried potstickers weren’t fried and were cold. I think they just put them in a box. The sweet and sour chicken was tasteless. I ordered pork fried rice and didn’t receive it. Sorry but this is the last time I go here. I always give places two tries and I did. I will go to PewWei’s or P.F. Chang’s from now on.

Great service! Good happy hour prices! Food is flavorful! I will definitely be back! Decorate is authentic and the restaurant looks clean. Everyone is very friendly. I had the beef fried rice! The beef was cooked very well and the rice was not over seasoned. Check in to get the cheese wontons for free!

Well, ya know… if you might even be craving P.F. Chang’s then believe it when you hear that this definitely fits the bill — if not better. I’ve always been uninspired by P.F. Chang’s Menu but after seeing W China Bistro offering Pork Belly Sliders as a special made me feel inspired to see past your typical Chinese offerings and believe that I might be turned on to something I’ve never tried before. Too bad we were in a ‘something simple’ mood. We ordered the Garlic Noodles with Chicken, I believe, and Cream Cheese Wontons. Both were good enough to make us want to come back and try something else in the future.

This is definitely one of those Chinese restaurants where you go for the atmosphere and not necessarily the food. The quantity of food you get here per entrée is much less than other Chinese restaurants. The quality of the food is about average. The garlic noodles are definitely worth trying. Don’t get the honey walnut shrimp because they only give you a measly six pieces.

I like this place. The garlic noodles were good, we added the combination of beef/chicken/shrimp to it(as shown on the menu) and it rocked. I highly suggest that as an entrée. Plus garlic is good for you so win/win. We also had the cream cheese wontons too and those were good. I kinda like it more than P.F. Changs, not because the food is prepared better or anything, but I liked W’s China Bistro’s selection. P.F. Changs is still good though for what they got. That’s all I got. Probably gonna do an update once I order more stuff, and my guess is I’ll probably be bumping my rating up to 5 stars then. I just did not order enough to earnestly give it a solid 5 star rating.
