Anyone remember the days when your delivery pizza was free if it didn’t arrive in 30 minutes or less? How simple it all was back then, when a pizza party, Hi-C Ecto Cooler, and some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles could cure what ails you… Mountain Mike’s has solid pizza, albeit a little pricey. They definitely don’t skimp on the ingredients(double cheese REALLY means double cheese!) — your hearty pizza is piled plenty high with all the fixings. And much to my delight, my pizza arrived in about 25 minutes instead of an hour(which is the expected wait time per their website). Woohoo! Our order was also piping hot when it arrived, and it totally hit the spot. The prices here are a little higher than I prefer and while the pizza was good, it just didn’t rock my socks enough for me to become a regular customer. I love the cheese and toppings, but I’m not too crazy about the crust. It’s not bad, it’s just not great. Mountain Mike’s proximity to my house is what will likely bring me back from time to time.

This pizza has too much dough and it tastes plain, like there is only flour and water in it. The toppings taste old and out of a can. I hear good things all the time, but when I ate it, I was surprised that so many people said they enjoy it.

Our goto pizza joint in south Reno! We have ordered pizza here(pick-up & delivery) about a dozen times and every time it has been excellent pizza & customer service. Delivery has always been on time and by a friendly employee. I highly suggest the Mt St Helens pizza… so good!

Came here for the buffet at 12pm. Pizza has been sitting out so long the pinapple on the Hawaiin pizza was getting hard and shriveling up. Had to wait 20 mins for a fresh pizza. Salad bar also leaves a lot to be desired as does the customer service.

Their menu clearly states they have 30% off any large pizza on Sundays. I went in today and ordered 3 large specialty pizzas(their most expensive) and noticed I was going to pay full price, when I asked about their 30% off the woman said we only do that when there’s football, to which I responded it’s football season, she then said only when we have football on in here. What the heck does that even mean? A clear example of false advertisement. I will never buy pizza here again.

I took the family for a Saturday casual meal, before buying my son a car. We hadn’t been to this location before. I was quite impressed, the gentleman that took our order was very pleasant and helpful. We ordered a large vegetarian pizza and 4 salad bar salads. The selection at the bar was nice, they had a lot to choose from although I thought almost $ 5.00 a pop for the salads was a bit much, but we don’t get together as a group much so it was worth it. The pizza was yummy and the veggies were fresh as you can see. The place wasn’t busy at all we were the only ones in the joint, not sure what that was about. I prefer this location over the one on vassar. We will be back!

Terrible customer service! I don’t know how someone can run a business treating people the way I have been treated every time I have visited. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time I came in and assumed the cashier was having a bad day. Every time since(twice) the same chashier has been stuck up and rude!(Older lady with white hair) The pizza was okay but the bathrooms were disgusting! I will not be returning!!!

Wouldn’t honor the Reed high discount card that their name is clearly on. Guy behind the counter had no clue what he was doing. I’m sticking to Pizza Plus. Now that I have made it home and eaten it I can now say the pizza was horrible!!!

I’ve never had a problem but I usually have it delivered or pick it up. Driver is always friendly an the pizza isn’t my first choice but ti not bad not bad at all. I went in once at lunch time and I do agree the salad bar was a mess, but it was a little after lunch time.

Mountain Mike’s Pizza is in our neighborhood. This is the first time we visited. My step dad LOVES Mountain Mike’s, it is the only pizza he will eat. So, we decided to finally give it a shot after my sons football game. My son kicked major butt tonight on the football field, so we wanted to reward him with a big pizza full of meat. I have heard that they pack on the toppings, so we went with the Garlic Tuscan. We were NOT disappointed when we opened the box. The large cost us $ 23. It is more than we usually spend on pizza, but I think it was well worth it.(We need to up our pizza game anyway, we usually just make our own.) I am originally from PA, and nothing compares to my hometown pizza, but with Mountain Mike’s being in the neighborhood, I am sure we will be back. They have lots of yummy sounding pizza, the people were nice enough, and the place was clean when I went to pick it up. It was ready when they said it would be ready. If I wanted to be nit picky, I may say that I would like a bit more herbs and seasoning, but the meat brought a lot of flavor. My teenage son and husband are happy!

Order pizza from here couple times a month on the saturdays I work by myself and can’t leave the office. First off the pizza is absolutely amazing, I order the everest which comes with meat and all sorts of veggies and its really fresh veggies and tastes great. The guy on the phone is very nice and explains it could be 45 – 50 minutes before its delivered because they are busy which is not a problem but usually they show up early. Delivery guy is very friendly, great attitude and always includes peppers and parmesan without even asking for it. Would highly recommend them, great food great people.

Tasty and on time. We haven’t been disappointed by them. Just had delivery and it was yummy. Hoping it stays good. A lot of these reviews are bad. Hopefully management changed and it’s good from now on.

So, my first couple experiences with this location last year were awesome. I ordered for delivery and the pizza arrived well before it was expected, hot and the delivery driver supplied Parmesan and hot pepper without having to ask. The pizza tasted great. Our first delivery this year, took over 2 hours to arrive, was tepid, and no condiments were supplied. When I called about this, there was no apology or offer to discount. I asked for one and was told that they would give me a discount on the next order and all I had to do was mention the guy’s name. Well, that didn’t pan out. When I called again, they pretended to not know who I was talking about despite the manager having the same name. Cest la vie, we were hungry and not feeling like going anywhere or cooking. Again, the pizza came later than expected. No condiments were offered and the pizza had, again, declined in taste. The last visit, about a month ago, we decided to go in instead of having the pizza delivered. We enter and it wasn’t terribly busy. There was a Christmas tree still in the dining area, the carpet was missing in a large spot and while it looked clean, it had that dank, damp smell. A group seemed to be just finishing and leaving yet the staff was acting frazzled. The person at the counter kept wandering off prior to and during my order without one apology for stepping away or for keeping me waiting. Another person seemed to be angrily and loudly, speaking to another worker. It was in another language so, perhaps that’s how they speak to each other, but it didn’t sound nice. I ordered a draft beer, our pizza, and a drink for the kid. My first sip of beer was disgusting. The beer wasn’t near cold enough and had a vinegar taste. It was obviously old and I suspect the lines hadn’t been cleaned in a while. I returned the beer to the counter, explained the situation, was given no apology, courteous anything, and was not offered a refund so I asked them to refund it or give me a bottled beer. I was given bottled. It wasn’t all that cold either. Looking at the salad bar made me wonder how they remained open whout killing people. Product looked old, things were mixed together, the temperature wasn’t where it should be(blue cheese dressing shouldn’t have oil separating on top and be warm). Many items were wilted, dried out or otherwise showing their age. The kid found only one of the games in the game area, to be working until it took his quarters. Upon telling the staff, they just shrugged and said that it worked before. I never visited the bathrooms and from reading the reviews, I’m thankful I didn’t. The pizza took forever to get served. I wanted out of there so badly, I asked for a box the second I got it. I might add that I watched it sit on the counter about 5 minutes before I went up to see if it might be ours. Considering there was only us and one other person who arrived after us, it seemed pretty likely, but far be it for me to expect them to call my name(oh right, they never asked it) or to bring it to our table. I had to borrow the cheese and peppers from another table. There was only one set of containers for the entire restaurant. No packages were offered to us so, I sprinkled the pizza on the way out the door. Seriously, I don’t understand how this place has ever passed inspections. You can’t tell me the salad bar is a new thing and that draft beer had been around a while. I guess if you get delivery all the time, you’re none the wiser. Needless to say, we won’t be ordering from there or visiting ever again. It’s a shame because it’s fairly close to home and their pizza used to be really good, but their lack of customer service is too much. Their inability to even be courteous is shocking. Their quality and speediness has taken a nose dive. I won’t risk food poisoning again.

We showed up with 8 adults and 3 kids, ordered pizza and salads, 3XL pizza 1 medium and at no point did the gentleman working the counter say that was probably too much pizza for the # of people. Guess it should have been a sign when we were the only ones there, made the quota for the day on our order he did!

Stop, don’t wast your money! I went to mountain mikes for the 7.99 lunch buffet. They put out one pizza and a pan of bread sicks. The pizza was good but the one pizza for 6 the customers is a joke. The customer service sucks. The one guy working kept wondering off. Do not get the buffet or you will starve or be waiting all day for the next pizza.

This place might be OK if it weren’t for the people who own/run it. Friday Night and we attempted to order on-line for pick up but the order form defaulted to delivery. A phone call to the restaurant and the issue was corrected(or so we thought). When our daughter picked up the order they charged her again(she didn’t know we had already paid) and sent her home with the wrong pizzas!(she didn’t know which pizzas we ordered) So, back to the store we went… The person who received our pizzas had also returned and we nervously agreed to exchange(where had this pizza been we wondered and have you guys traveled to Africa recently?) Get this — the management blamed us for not telling them we had already paid, as if it was our fault, and were generally short and dismissive. Their attempt to set things right was to give us an order of breadsticks — too bad we already had paid for an order so the gesture was a bit hollow. And the final salt in the wound was that they forgot to include the ranch we requested which we did not discover until returning home. So, if you’ve hung with me to this point congratulations and fortunately there is a little good news — the pizza was actually pretty tasty!(Hence the 2 stars) We ordered one with sausage and green chili’s and another meat style with bacon(the names escape me just now) The ingredients were good quality, it was well cooked and we ate heartily. Sadly, it wasn’t good enough to make us want to return here. We understand that mistakes happen but we’ll hold out for eating establishments where the owners and staff are respectful and appreciative of our patronage.

The worst ever, ordered a pizza, bbq wings and salad. The bbq wings was so burnt, no bbq sauce on them, the pizza was burnt, the salad had jalapeños throughout it. Overall most was thrown away. Pizza was very bland even with all the toppings on it, still no flavor. My dog stuck her nose up at it and that don’t happen. First only last chance to impress a new customer.

Good pizza. Bad bathrooms. Rude service. The lady at the counter is just plain unfriendly. I gather from other reviews this is normal. I overheard her being rude to a customer on the phone, she was short with my husband when he ordered at the counter, and she didn’t speak a word back when I thanked her for dropping the pizza off at our table. The women’s bathroom was horrendous. I went in just to washy hands and the smell gagged me. It takes an exceptionally bad smell to gag me– I work at a hospital. The trash was full, and the whole bathroom just looked grungy. The soap was watered down so much that I couldn’t even get it to foam. I’m not sure that washing in that bathroom does a bit of good. In fact, the thought of an employee going #2 and then using that watery useless soap to wash up after makes me cringe. I’m going to assume for my peace of mind that they wash with full strength soap in the kitchen sink.(Sorry to be so gross but these are things I think about!) So thanks to these concerns, combined with the many unfavorable reviews, things didn’t get off to a great start. However, the pizza was very good. We got the one with chicken, bacon, pineapple, and BBQ sauce; and a combo one with all the normal combo pizza toppings. Both were good but I really liked the chicken pineapple one. They definitely don’t skimp on the toppings or sauce, and both the pizza sauce and the BBQ sauce were really good too. And they cook their pizzas pretty well done, so the dough is cooked through and crisp on the bottom, and the pepperoni slices are crunchy at the edges. I like that. If they could just sort out the attitude of the lady at the counter, and give the bathrooms a good scrub it would be great.

I don’t know why Mountain Mikes has such a bad rating, I’m hoping my 5 star helps them out. We order from them on occasion for lunch at work and everyone is always satisfied with their GIGANTIC pizzas. They are definitely generous with their toppings, their bacon and artichokes are amazing, so are their mushrooms and olives, and white sauce specialty pizzas. You can choose from traditional crust or thin and even gluten free at a smaller size. They always deliver right on time and the delivery man is always super friendly, so I’m sure to give him a nice tip. Downside, the huge pizza is $ 30+ then close to $ 40 after delivery, but it’s worth it. Much better than our company ordering 8 pizzas from Dominoes. Every time we’ve had Mountain Mikes, the pizza is delicious!
