The best buffet in town hands down! We’ve been enamored with the mushroom raviolis in porcini cream sauce since first trying them over 10 years ago. The dessert case is spectacular, with a full selection of freshly made gelato. The mexican food is a favorite of mine-if you have a chance, try the tacos. The pesto pizza is also pretty tasty. Variety, selection, quality-all here at the Buffet at the Eldorado. We eat here at least twice whenever we’re visiting Reno. Thanks as always, for a great dining experience!

This buffet is awesome for the food and price point. It’s $ 36 for two people at dinner time. It’s not a really big buffet, but they make up for it with the quality of food they produce. There’s a salad bar for healthier options, your typical meat carving station, and your starches like pasta, pizza, mashed potatoes, and/or fried rice. I don’t really go to too many buffets, but I like how this place serves ice cream as a dessert option. They have a small selection of ice cream flavors and desserts, but definitely oh so good. Cheesecake was creamy and ice cream was the same. To save you time, the buffet is located on the second floor. And lastly, I think their menu changes often. Before committing to anything, check the menu which is posted just outside the entrance.

Went to the Sunday champagne brunch and it was amazing! The price came up around 40 bucks after tax for two people. They had endless choices and everything was incredibly delicious. The servers were attentive. Mimosas were excellent. I would highly recommend this place especially for the brunch. I definitely will come back if I ever go to Reno again.

So when I need to kill 20 to 30 minutes with someone I bring up the Eldorado buffet. I think the El Dorado Buffet might be my favorite restaurant in town. It is not terribly consistent but it is a really good deal. The two good deals are weekday lunch Buffet at 1499 or Sunday night Mexican Food night at 1899. If u get only good items at a good deal it’s great. The mexican food night is filled with mexican families and is super legit mexican food. As with any Buffet some food is great all the time and some food downright inedible. Things I get everytime Mashed potatoes, so good with little pieces of skin White rice, mac and cheese Chili Verde pork Tacos DE lingua *sundays also get the menudo on sundays Lasagna * tastes remarkably similar to the expensive Italian restaurant LA strada next door. Mushroom Ravioli *same as above, the ribs, the $gelato, specifically the chocolate, cookies and cream, and mint chip, the chocolate covered macaroons. Now if u get an item and you dont like it, just don’t eat it. The amount you have to waste off of your plate is nothing compared to the amount of food they have to trash at the end of everyday. Ok, now to the things to avoid… the fish… have never had good fish here. Baked chicken, just go for the fried chicken. This weird fruit salad things that no one eats except for my girlfriend and people with no teeth. The pizza is also always fresh and the service is great. I get a pepsi, a iced tea or hot tea, and a coffee at the end because it adds value to my meal I already paid for so why not. I always try to tip well because of how hard they work and how many drinks and refills and plates I get. Sat and sun have a local discount at 25.99 but that’s a little pricey… but if you do go, get a plate of crab and shrimp and ask the guys behind the counter to steam it for you and get melted butter and it’d be awesome

This is my favourite buffet in Reno, hands down! My family and I come here a lot since it’s awesome! The Buffet at the Eldorado has never ceased to amaze me. The environment/atmosphere of this buffet is great since it’s clean and bright. The food here is both quantity and quality. There is hell of a lot of food here and most of them taste great! If you come here on the Friday or a Saturday, you get seafood like Snow Crab legs which are juicy and delicious! The dessert here is the best in Reno; there is a lot to choose from and most of them look and taste wonderful! I would recommend this buffet on any day! I am very pleased with the CEO of Eldorado since he has put in a lot of quality in the restaurants and he has made a lot of effort in renovating and maintaining the property’s cleanliness. However, the rooms at the Eldorado could use some improvement, like renovation so to speak.

Two days here at the Eldorado with a group of 25 people. We have experienced the worse customer service. We just finished brunch and we’re constantly badgered by our waitress about the number of people in our group. We were taking up too much space. She was a nice as a rattlesnake. At 17 dollars per person I would think more is better. Food was ok but you will definitely not be welcomed or appreciated. Yesterday same warm fuzzy feeling at the coffee shop when we spent over 350 dollars and we’re treated like castaways. TAKEYOURMONEYELSEWHERE. . NOHOSPITALITYATELDORADO

Has good variety of food. Cold meats and salads. Mexican food. Asian food stand. Breakfast omellete stand. Huge dessert stand. I went in on Saturday afternoon. Plenty of food but it looked dried up in the air of the casino/restaurant. Cold pasta salad did not taste too good. I enjoyed the freshly made veggie omelette. Asian fried rice and coconut fish had different flavor. Drinks were included — had a juice and coffee.

This place has an hour-long line, which you can’t see when you join it. It is ridiculous that they’ve not raised prices to make the line shorter. Go there is you’re up to wait for an hour

Terrible! The wait in line is over an hour. The food is ‘C’. The price is high(for the food they have). Waiting for over an hour doesn’t worth it!

3.5 stars(rounded to 4. It beats all other casino buffets in Reno). We asked quite a few Reno residents which buffet was the best, and they always said Eldorado’s The Buffet or Sterling for Sunday brunch. So we dropped by The Buffet at noon on a Saturday morning. Brunch runs until 2 pm! Quite nice for those who love brunching and sleeping in. It was $ 16.99/person and totally worth it. Highlights: — Juicy and tender carving station with turkey, brisket, and whole homemade sausages. — Breakfast section with omelette station, chicken fried steak, eggs benedict, sausages, bacon, banana pancakes, French toast, waffles — Pizza that doesn’t taste like cardboard — Fresh ceviche and cocktail shrimp that did not give me the runs — Steak that is not old and tough — Legit Mexican section with taco station, pre-made tacos with quality ingredients, fresh salsa, guacamole, simmered pork, and chopped chilis. Did not give me the runs. — Italian section with ravioli, pasta, and seafood canneloni packed with fresh shrimp. — GELATOSTATION! Dessert is hidden in the back corner! At first I was disappointed at the small, limited sweets section which included yogurt parfait, 3 kinds of cookies, 2 kinds of pastries and 2 kinds of mini muffins. But no! There is way more in the back, so save some belly space. When I saw the real dessert section I jumped up and ran over, eyes bulging despite my stomach being stretched to capacity. But you know what they say. there’s ALWAYS room for dessert! Firstly, their gelato is as good as some popular gelato shops I’ve been to. Walnut, pistachio and cookies and cream are their most popular flavors. But they also have coconut, strawberry, mango and more. They have toppings too including chocolate chips, reeses bits, yogurt chips, and other goodies. I wish I had room for all the desserts. darn it if I knew they and all this, I would’ve skipped my second plate and splurged on sweets! Their goods come straight from their bakery, and they kept replenishing the plated desserts little by little, so nothing is ever stale. They had Boston cream pie, carrot cake, sugar free berry pies, brownies, thick cookies, fat slices of cake, chocolate mousse, eclairs, bread pudding, cheesecake. everything I had room for was delicious! While it wasn’t pretty, my favorite was English trifle and of course the gelato. While I usually say, «I will never come back» when I eat buffet food, my fiancé and I both agreed — we will totally be back.

I would give this place a 3.5 star rating. I think its the best buffet of the connected buildings. Great quality of food, décor, quality in set up is good, delicious and good service. I didn’t give more because I feel like they need to work on their Asian section of food. The last 3 times I have gone, the Chinese soup or Asian soup has pretty much been them dumping Asian veggies in a pot and calling it Asian. Like tonight had tofu, bean sprouts and something else. I didn’t bother to try it, didn’t look appetizing. Their chow mein and selection of options really lacked in care of execution and planning. Doesn’t taste or use authentic styles of cooking and ingredients. I think I’m spoiled in Seattle, though, so its hard to find good Chinese food besides Asia or Seattle/Cupertino/Houston. Their Mexican section has gotten better through the years, although sometimes I feel like they throw all the crappy cuts of meat into the pork Chile Verde like they did tonight. Lots of pieces of fat and there was too much dry looking options, salsa drying out and just didn’t look appetizing. I think they need more work in their specialty salad bar dishes, tonight they had a cauliflower salad… odd right? Looked like barely anyone touched it. They also need better quality fruits to offer like strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, etc. I always see oranges and cantaloupe. lol I sound so mean, but this is my honest opinion. Also they need to have more high chairs on hand. We had to hold our daughter the whole time during our meal and switch people, so one could eat. Smh. Saw another table use the highchair for their car seat and the kid wasn’t even sitting on there… should be a rule of some sort. Requesting a high chair and not actually using it… yeah, no. The star of their buffet is their PASTAS, crab legs, prime rib, mussels, antipasto, gelato, dessert, roasted vegetables, wood stove brick oven fresh pizza! Yum! That’s what draws me to this place, the quality in these dishes are above and beyond. Just wish they paid as much attention to the Asian and Mexican options. Highly recommend this buffet over the others in the connecting casinos. I still want to try a couple More other buffets in the area! But the star dishes are what keep me coming back.

Unfortunately, nowadays, good buffets are hard to find. It’s as difficult, if not more difficult than finding a decent guy. 24.99 for dinner AYCE. 18% gratuity on groups of more than 6. :.From what I remember, December 29 dinner menu:. Meat station: sausage, beef brisket, prime rib, chicken, broiled sirloin steak Salad station(I don’t eat veggies so I can identify the species), cocktail shrimp Dessert station: cheesecake, chocolate cake, carrot cake, gelato(mango, strawberry, coconut, pistachio, chocolate, cookies and cream, cherry), macaroons(not macaron, there’s a difference), raspberry custard tart Asian station: beef/broccoli chow mein, eggroll, Tom yum soup, Italian station: lasagna, ravioli, fettuccini, pizza, Parmesan chicken All the food were ok… It was either under salted or over salted. Nothing really stuck out to me. Desserts were decent but even the gelato were plain in flavors. Got there at 5:45pm on a Tuesday, and there was a long line out the door already. Surprisingly it moved super fast but I think it was because we had a group of 12.

Of the buffets in this area, The Buffet has both a visually appealing setting and delicious food. Nothing seems half-assed here compared to other buffets. For example, the Mexican food here I thought was fantastic. It wasn’t a sad taco bar like other places but they had so many choices from the meats to the toppings. I had a carnitas soft taco and it was bomb. They had top sirloin steak the night I came in which was juicy and worthy of getting seconds of. What really tops off The Buffet is their dessert selection. The gelato selection sets it apart from all the other buffets in the area. There are other dessert choices in small portions(with exception to the big slices of cake) so that you can try a bit of everything. The servers are very helpful and remove plates frequently. This is definitely the best buffet I’ve had in Reno.

Don’t judge this buffet on my review, I’m not a buffet fan by any means. But this was were the other half wanted to go for thanksgiving. I’m not a fan of buffets because if I really wanted to go track down my own food, I’d go out hunting with my brother and shoot it myself. Eating out should be table service. Sure there are a ton, litterly a ton of options. But I don’t need that many choices. And I can’t eat enough to justify the price. I settled on just a few– a stack of crabs leg(a little too watery), shrimp(peel them yourself and little mushy) and the mushroom ravioli. The hubby was certainly delighted in his full turkey dinner. Along with lamb, ham and prime rib. Other choices were Asian foods, pizza and Mexican fare. All the stations were constantly kept clean and well stocked. Drinks were always full. Dirty plates picked up immediately. Bless the staff– it was a holiday and everyone of them I saw had smiles on and were so gracious.

I know people poo-poo buffets, but this was a GREAT meal with a ton of variety. I was sufficiently in a food coma at the end. I think with a lot of buffets, the flavors start to blend together and it’s difficult to distinguish between the foods. This one was distinctly different. There were flavors from Asia, Italy, Mexico and the US. I tried something from each station. The raw fruits and vegetables for the salads were fantastic. You pay as you enter, so you aren’t charged extra for sodas and such once you are seated. I liked not feeling nickeled and dimed. We arrived just before they stopped allowing people in for the night, and I was pleased that they kept all the food well-stocked as long as people were in there eating. I hope they make good use of all that leftover food, but I was certainly glad my choices weren’t diminishing due to my late arrival time.

Having stayed at the Eldorado on a mixed personal /business trip, I had the chance to eat all three meals at The Buffet. I’m not a connoisseur of casino buffets, and I’m told there are much more upscale buffets in Vegas. Well, Reno is not Vegas, it’s much more down to earth, and I’m certain that some of the high end buffets there have prices to match. Dinner at Eldorado’s buffet is around $ 14.99, which really is a steal for the quality of food you’re getting, never mind the fact that you can eat as much of it as you want. The mushroom ravioli is delicious and rivals pasta I’ve had anywhere. I found out afterwards that it’s a signature dish there, which makes sense. It’s worth a trip on its own. I had a wide variety of American, European, Asian, and Latin American fare on my three visits. Everything was good, several items were excellent. Service is really good too. Water and sodas are always being refilled, and the staff is extremely friendly and enthusiastic. Perfect place if you’re hungry, indecisive, or just want to sample a bunch of different things to eat.

Needed to find a place to dine with my folks and my aunt and uncle inside the, «Inside» strip(E, SL, CC), so I picked this place as most restaurants you pay close to the same price for 1 dish as you can for AYCE, and tonight was seafood night $ 25.95, and $ 3 discount for locals w/proper ID. I ate at this restaurant many years ago when it first opened and it was not impressive, which was strange as we used to dine in the old buffet which was across from this one, and that was always 4 to 5 stars. I didn’t eat here for a long time, then heard it was good again, tried it and agreed. I ate here 2 more times and both times were 4 – 5 stars, that is if you got the dishes that always look the best and the ones you like. Tonight really was impressive, we were quickly sat, and served, I went out to get a plate and saw the mushroom ravioli and decide to load up, I got about 8 to 10 of them, and most places that would be all you get for $ 18(probably a couple less raviolis too), but then I added tortellini, a small serving of lasagna, a loaded baked potato, fresh medium rare prime, and grabbed my seat. Everything was 5 stars, even the potato was excellent! I was sufficiently stuffed, but it’s kind of pricey, so you got to dig in and go for the uncomfortable stomach for a couple hours, so I grabbed another plate, and loaded up crab legs, mussels, and peel and eat shrimp. Again, all 5 star dishes. I was very shocked to have so many different dishes on such a high level! Service was great, all plates quickly cleared, server was available anytime for drinks, napkins, etc. Last I did desert, I again went for a belly buster consisting of cheesecake, butter finger something, flan, and mint chocolate chip gelato. The gelato was the star of this show, with everything else being delicious. Glad to see an old favorite come back to life and deliver an outstanding meal for my party of 5 with the greatest of ease!

I dined on a Thursday evening. 14.99ish Far from wowed, but for a buffet this was a decent meal. For a buffet. Service was great. The asada tacos were my favorite… can’t believe I’m choosing tacos at a buffet… ugh The Chinese food I sampled was incredibly salty. Salads…nothing was identified so I went with fruit which was ripe and tasty. Swiss steak was good Fish of the day was absolutely horrid, fishy tasting, jerky like, dry as hell. Meat at the carving station– brisket was dry and tough, turkey had no turkey flavor, links dry. Corn on the Cobb was perfect! I did notice stuff being removed in order to keep the offering fresh, but not the things I was after. I will not return on a Thursday.

I really like this place. I rarely go to buffets but when i do, I’m quite picky about it. My boyfriend and I wanted to check out this buffet because there’s good reviews and ratings online and the exterior of the restaurant is quite fancy with pretty bright neutral colors. We came here earlier for $ 16.99/person buffet for breakfast/brunch. We had a total of 3 plates and a dessert. First plate: scrambled eggs, bacon, croissants, french toasts, and sausages. Second plate: mashed potatoes with gravy, fried chicken, and fruits. Third plate: chow mein, New York Steak, and fruits. Cookies and cream gelato. Some were good some were not. Overall, I like this place and will most likely come back for the dinner buffet.
