Service has a little to be desired. I’ve been here twice for all you can eat sushi and the rolls are really good! For all you can eat, I feel like there should be more of a selection of rolls… but I’m not a huge carb eater. I barely can get through 2 rolls before I’m calling it quits. I have a love/hate relationship with sushi. I love it while I’m eating it… and hate it 20 minutes later when I’m digesting it. I stuff myself until I can’t move every time. Maybe expand the menu options? At least for the other crazy sushi eaters in my party.

Haven’t been back for a while after some unhappy experiences. Things have definitely changed for the better, and we’re really happy to have a neighborhood sushi place again. The fish with both the nigiri and rolls is quite good-impressed with the quality. Service may be a bit slow, but I’m not having sushi to rush! Staff are friendly, and we will definitely be back. Thanks!

My husband and I love this place. The Summit Roll which isn’t on the menu, it was a special is very good. Also Hot August Night is delicious too. The owner usually greets us with a bow and they staff is always very friendly.

I really like sushi and so does my son. We are not particularly picky sushi eaters and have eaten at many AYCE sushi restaurants in Reno, Carson, and Tahoe. This one was hands down the worst… by far! My first roll wasn’t terrible and I ate it but I wouldn’t say it was good either. It was drizzled with a way too sweet special sauce. I like eel sauce but this wasn’t eel sauce and it was too sweet. Tasted almost like Chinese sweet and sour sauce. My second roll was inedible. It was deep fried although it wasn’t clear on the menu that it would be deep fried and it was just horrible. I talked with my son and his friend about eating everything they ordered because that is standard etiquette at AYCE sushi places. My poor son’s friend was looking sadly at his roll after eating one piece so I offered to help him out. After eating one piece I told him he didn’t have to finish it because it was gross. It was half cream cheese inside and it was so much that it just ruined the roll. My son ordered a deep fried California roll and it was smothered in ranch dressing and chocolate sauce. Yes, I know that sounds crazy but it really was! Since this was the third inedible roll I talked with the sushi chef and asked why there was chocolate sauce on my sons sushi roll. She argued with me and said it was not chocolate sauce. All three of us tasted it and it was most definitely chocolate. Finally my son and his friend forced down a plain California roll because that was the only thing on the menu not covered in something weird. After eating a piece of my second roll and a piece of my son’s friend’s roll that were so gross I felt sick to my stomach and didn’t order anything more. It was a real disappointment because it was supposed to be a celebration lunch for my son and his friend. To top it off the lady sitting next to us at the bar was cursing loudly the entire time. Not the fault of the restaurant but they should have said something to her because she was so inconsiderate of the other patrons. So now you have been warned. I wish I was.

When was the last time you were scolded for not eating all your food? Yesterday my friends were treating me to an early dinner before my flight home. He ordered 2 all you can eat sushi. He did all of the ordering for me and his wife who just had a roll. I did not eat 5 of 40+ piece of sushi rice. I was trying to be respectful of my friends and eat what I could. The waitress sees the 5 fat sushi rice balls on my plate and scolds me. She said I broke the rules and I had to eat all my rice. I’m 50 years old. I haven’t been scolded since I was 5 years old. If you do have RULES on your all you can eat… then PRINTTHEMINBOLD! Whats happened to the customer is always right. She was out of line and rude. Oh, Oh D on’t order their rolls… They have no taste and fake spicy tuna. Rude!

I really like this place. I eat here a lot but most often order a few rolls take out and eat them at home. When you do eat here, eat at the bar. I’m not saying all the servers are bad, because I’ve had a few good ones. But for the most part, when I’ve sat a table the service was incredibly slow. And silly things like forgetting to take my drink order when I’m having all you can eat. The last time I went I for all you can eat they served miso soup, which I had not been served with ayce before. But it was really bland. Guess I wasn’t missing much. Some of my favorite rolls are the Krispy Kreme, Pepple Beach and the Viagra. All are very good. I also like the snow flower and the Hawaiian Punch.

I have been to Wasabi a couple of times and just can’t jump on the bandwagon. The food is ok at best. I had pork Katsu and found it to be plain… not a lot of flavor. The same with the tempura veggies that came with. My friend that I went with mentioned how there is not much on the menu for choices and I agree. The service was great though…

I haven’t been able to fully enjoy sushi for a long time due to how badly it affects my blood sugar for hours after. My husband and I wanted to celebrate and really wanted sushi. I called around to several sushi places to see if any would try to make sushi rolls without the rice and they all said no. I called Wasabi, and they said they would. My husband and I drove 30 minutes to get to Wasabi even though there were probably 15 closer sushi restaurants to our house. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. Trey weren’t used to being asked to make sushi without rice but even the owner went behind the counter to make sure I was being taken care of. They could’ve been like all of the other sushi restaurants and told me no, but they were able to accommodate my health needs and requests and they have earned our business from now on.

Don’t love this place. Tried many times. Rice is sweet and doesn’t mix well with flavored. They don’t have any spicy crab topped rolls which are a personal favorite.

Neither appetizers nor desserts are included in the all you can eat price. The sushi wasn’t bad but the service was slower than usual for a sushi restaurant. If you want to pay 19.95 for just dinner sushi– it is ok. but I would rather pay a few bucks more to get all you can eat appetizers(such as mussels and pot stickers) and a desert option included.

Quick, helpful service and very yummy sushi rolls! I was surprised at the diversity of the veggie rolls offered: usually sushi places offer a few vegetarian rolls that are all mostly similar in taste, but wasabi had rolls that had lots of different ingredients and toppings that made them very distinct. Overall great experience: we were served immediately and didn’t wait for any of the rolls we ordered!

Great meal. Great service ***. Had the Fish Katsu and my partner had the Chicken Yakiniku. Perfect portions. Great value. We will definitely be back. Need to try their all you can eat Sushi for $ 19.95 next time. Lots of other menu options that I would like to try also. ***Only issue that I had was that whenever I said thank you, the waitress said«no problem». Whatever happened to «you’re welcome»? To the younger generation that says«no problem» instead of «you’re welcome», it shouldn’t be a problem if you’re doing your job.

I like my menu choices like I like my women. Very small. And, my service like my dentist… slow. Nope, I didn’t enjoy the visit.

Don’t waste your time and money like we do. If you really like sushi this is not the place. Crystal shrimp it’s only fried flour with fried dry shrimp chopped with no flavor at all. All the rolls are the same. Service is good Hope the owner improves the quality of this sushi place. I won’t recommend to any of my friends.

I am giving 4 stars for their consistency. Very solid good food every time we have been there and we have been regulars for over a year. They will do substitutions without a huge fuss(within reason) and the service is pretty good most of the time. Sometimes they get a little backed up when really busy but no really long waits. The place is very clean and good seating options. Not crazy noisy and no ridiculous tunes playing which is my pet peeve! This is our go to place. Love it:)

Went here on a last minute whim because my friend had a gift card. It was almost empty I am thinking because there was a crawl downtown. The sushi was good, the tuna was not my favorite but I had the Indian summer roll that was a spicy delight. For being as empty out service was not super great but overall it was a good dining experience. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a different sushi menu than the usual.

After skimming the rave reviews about wasabi I decided to give it a shot after a fun day at the range. Jazmine was surprisingly closed on a Sunday. Interesting. Anyway: When you first walk in its a little confusing. I thought it was just a Japanese restaurant, but the sushi bar is actually in the back. I found myself sadly disappointed with my dining experience. For a Sunday evening the place seemed pretty quiet. Customers came and went at a steady pace. So, I expected it to not be sitting around waiting so long for drinks. Which all I ever have is water but the person I was with wanted a Sapporo. The rolls were slightly disappointing. The rice to fish ratio was off. With each bite I tasted rice and most of the rolls lacked as much flavor as they did fish. I don’t normally use soy sauce because I like to taste my sushi, but I found myself dousing my bites just to add flavor. If appetizers came with the all you can eat, there was no telling because a) I couldn’t find them on the menu and b) nobody offered us any. The server we had seemed really nice and polite as well as the chef that’s why I gave them two stars. Also, it would have been nice to know that we had to pay for the bill on the way out because we probably wasted 10 mins waiting for the check until we discovered what needed to be done. Sadly, I don’t think I would return or recommend them to anyone. This morning I woke up with my stomach in knots and I feel pretty sick. Could be something going around, could be the food. Hard to tell, but this mixed with my disappointment from last night just kills Wasabi for me.

White cloth napkin does not equate to «fine dining» I stopped by here to get early dinner before the Dolce Vita Elite event. There were only two other customers and usually that’s enough to discourage me but it was an odd time and I was set on getting some udon. Having scoped up the area before hand, I picked Wasabi from the few restaurant options and browsed their menu. They have some lunch and dinner specials and of course their ayce option but I wasn’t about to do that by myself. The server quickly gave me the menu and a glass of water. I ordered the seafood udon. It came with a side of radish. I’d give the presentation and service five stars but that’s pretty much it. The broth was on the sweet side. For a place that has a sushi bar, is it reasonable to expect that they would use *fresh* seafood with this udon? Perhaps I was a little too hopeful. The shrimp were small and reminded me of something you get out of a can. The crab was a piece of imitation crab. The scallop was okay and it’s pretty sad when my favorite thing out of the whole thing was the egg and daikon.

Late lunch with friends following a movie. The décor is a bit upscale with cloth on the tables and simply decorated with wood tones and shaded windows. The overall atmosphere is clean and classy. We were greeted right away, seated, given menus and water, and offered drinks. Our waitress gave us ample time to decide what we wanted and checked in with us throughout the meal to see if all was to our liking. I had the lunch special — Miso, salad and one long roll and a sampler of 4 nagiri. My friends had salmon and beef short ribs. All the meals were good and portions were generous. The meals were in the $ 10 — $ 12 range. I think it is a great alternative to the usual shopping center food of hamburgers, pizza and bar food.
