I really enjoyed my dinner here tonight! The food was great and filled with so much flavor and spices! I was able to try many types of food because everyone at my table shared. My favorite was the butter chicken with garlic nan. So delicious! I checked I and in and was able to get 10% off my entire purchase!

Was planning to go this place from long time but work never gave me chance untill yesterday(Sunday). I must say the food is really good here. Went with my wife and we ordered chicken lollypop, chicken tikka platter and chicken noodles. Everything was yummy and spicy the way we asked for. Even though chicken noodles had eggs into it and my wife doesn’t like eggs which I forgot to mention. When I asked for another order the manager replaced it which was really so kind of him. Servers need little bit training but overall we enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back.

The most authentic hyderbadi biryani place I have been to since I visited texas. The customer service is just amazing. The staff were kind enough to give us suggestions from the menu as we were new customers. Placing order here is very simple, we are given a pen and sheet of paper with all the menu items and we just have to pick and choose the dishes we want. The best appetizer for vegetarians is the paneer 555. Apart from biryanis and curries they also have tiffins like dosa and idli. Do not forget to try the pesarattu here. For the desserts, I would surely come back again for the butterscotch pastry. Looking forward to try many more items here.

This is my go to place whenever I have an Indian food fix. They have the best biryani in the Richardson, Texas area.

What kinda restaurant sends their customers away when they walk in before the closing time??? Ummmm, ones who don’t have the basics of customer service right. This has been the typical behavior of most of the Indian restaurants. Start with a bang and then see them gradually shutdown… this place has decent Indian food in the area. but they need to extend their hours in the evening a little bit and improve on the customer service.

I’m not biryani expert but this place is so delicious! I came for lunch and ordered the Bawarchi Biryani lunch plate. The Hyderabadi chicken curry is spicy but I love it! I wouldn’t recommend it for people who can’t take the heat. After I ordered and they poured a glass of water for you and the food came out in a minute! So great to come during your lunch break. Good food, fast and not too pricey.

I go here on Sundays to pick up lunch on my way to work. I have also picked up food during the work week. The byriani is hit or miss. Sometimes it is dry and you can tell it has been sitting there awhile. I now order the butter chicken and it is delicious! The service is good and I know they are making my butter chicken fresh because it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to make regardless of how empty or busy they are. So definitely call ahead if you are in a rush! They are a bit pricey, but I mainly go because it is close to my work.

Despite getting the wrong to-go order(goat curry instead of chicken hyderabad curry), I enjoyed the spiciness of the tikka masala and goat curries here. The lunch platter has good variety between the appetizer, curries, biryani, and dessert(1 gulab jamun) but the appetizer and dessert are chef’s choice. Dont expect to have input. The naan was soggy by the time I unwrapped the foil. Wish they wrapped semi open in butcher or wax paper or napkins, or anything else to avoid a wet naan. In the past, the spiciness of nearby Indian restaurants hasn’t satisfied me. But the curries here are actually spicy, which I appreciated. The wait time for a to go order was crazy, at 40 minutes from door to door but I did go during Diwali festival and lunch hour so understandable. Overall, great choice for its location and spiciness. In hindsight, I wish I ordered a single curry rather than the lunch platter. I like control over my appetizers and desserts for a player; plus not enough curry sauce(although plenty of meet) in the lunch platter.

Bawarchi Biryani Point in Richardson, TX is one of the best Indian restaurants you will find in the DFW area and that’s saying a lot given the multitude of fine Indian restaurants in Dallas. The consistency in their food is unparalleled. The biryanis and the chicken appetizers(the tikkas) are great — most people know that about Bawarchi — but if you are in the mood to try out something different, do check out their wide selection of what Indians classify as «tiffin» items — dosa, idli, poori and the Mysore bonda(only on weekends). Also, try their spicy mushroom curry. A 5-star item that. Their tasty lunch platters and thalis are a convenient way of trying multiple delectable dishes through one order. And nothing to beat a hot breads pastry to finish off your meal. A notable feature is that they generally cater to the specific needs of their customers on the spice levels and ensure inclusions/exclusions in a dish are accommodated if possible. Service staff and the manager are very professional. The ambience is a clear differentiator and that’s what sets apart this elegant, well-lit, clean and rich looking restaurant compared to some of the other good Indian restaurants. I’ve taken clients here for business lunches and they were very impressed. I’ve also catered for a party of 100 with them and my guests were all unanimously positive on the variety as well as quality of food at the event. Too bad, I’ve moved out of the area to WA state recently and can’t frequent the restaurant anymore. I would like to request the owners to consider opening one in Seattle, WA. Seattle definitely needs to learn a thing or two about quality Indian restaurants.

All the items were overpriced. There are better Indian restaurants around this area who ever better food for better prices. Egg Bhurji with two chapattis costs $ 9.00! Seriously… there is no justification for this price…

Loved the Veg biriyani here. Rating it with just three stars because I was very disappointed with crispy Chili baby corn, veg manchurian and fried rice. They were not even close to their names. Veg fried rice was such a bummer, looks like they add some kinda garam masala or rasam powder kinda thingy, it tasted so weird. Veg manchurian was like a mixed vegetable curry. Filled with carrot cubes and green peas. Haven’t had one such manchurian till date.

Great flavors. No unnecessary and extreme spice… Chili chicken and Bawarchi special biryani are brilliant. Superb stuff.

I love their biriyanis! So tasty and highly recommended. I like it that they’re affiliated with Hot Breads since the cake pieces are nice treats for dessert. They gave a free cake piece for the birthday boy. I thought their ras malai tasted good but was a bit pricey. They’re a bit pricey with their meals in general and i understand why some people feel that its not worth it. I just feel that their food is tasty enough and the atmosphere is nice enough to where i cant complain about the price. I have never heard complaints about their dosa — they’re big and come with 4 different dips(coconut chutney, mint chutney, sambar, tomato chutney). Pretty satisfying for their size. I don’t recommend their shrimp curry since the shrimp was undercooked.

My sister and I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala with rice and naan. The Chicken Tikka Masala was very flavorful and had the perfect level of spiciness without it being overbearing. I was just disappointed in how runny the consistency was. It was very liquidy and didn’t hold up well with the naan.(Which the naan was very thin and too soft). There wasn’t really anything too special about the food, but I will look to try some more here in the future. The main thing I was disappointed with was the customer service. I just came to order and takeout the food, but they were very rude and when it came to using my Unilocal 10% off check in, they were very suspicious of me, even when I showed them my phone to redeem the offer. I felt very uncomfortable.

This Bawarchi Biryani Point is a bit hidden away and I’m glad I found it!
Beware that it didn’t register on google maps at first. Find it off Greenville Ave. on the north side of Richardson in an area called EastSide. I’ve traveled to the Delhi and Rajasthani area of India and eat frequently at Indian restaurants throughout the DC/Northern VA area, and still don’t claim to be an expert on the«best» Indian restaurant(especially not being a desi!) Yet, I know what I have experienced and this was good. Originally I asked for Samosa chaat(not on the menu, but a fav of mine) and was told that they were missing some ingredients and they didn’t feel good giving me something less than correct… I really appreciated the honesty! Others might have slipped me something similar and hoped I just accept it. Kudos! Loved the service, really nice guys there, fast service and I was there early enough to have the place to myself, just before dinner rush. What I had: 2 Samosas: flaky, hot, tasty inside with a small bit of heat — nice… Paneer Korma: The gravy was yummy, a little low on the heat(would love the opportunity to ask for my own heat level preference) paneer was plentiful. Just the right amount of naan and gravy for a full meal. Chicken Biryani: Tasty, though not quite as good as some I’ve had. My favorite spot near me in VA(Bollywood Indian Cuisine in Dahlgren, VA — love you guys!) makes the most fragrant, addictive Biryani with golden raisins(and usually I hate those, but they work here) and I’m not sure what else… that gives it a sweet and savory blend of heaven.
Overall, my time at Bawarchi was a lovely experience. Now for my final test. chai.
I’m amazed that most Indian restaurants give customers a bland cup of hot tea with milk and call it good chai. Really? When I ask for it, it better taste like I’m on a street corner somewhere in India, with the scent of cardamom and cinnamon wafting through the air. Up for the challenge Bawarchi Richardson? I’ll be back to try you again!

Love the concept! Modern and trendy café style with fast and friendly service. Had the samosas, fried corn, chicken 555, tandoor chicken, naan and some stews. Fantastic. Faves were the naan and chicken 555. Spicy and flavorful. And you can put out the flame with a cold Kingfisher lager. Would recommend for a try. If you are new to Indian, it’s very accessible and you can go early and share a couple apps and have a drink. Will recommend and go back soon.

Went there with high expectations but came out disappointed. Ordered dhum mutton n chicken briyanis but there were both equally bad. Raita was decent but gravy(salna) was nothing short of terrible. Their plano center served better briyanis than here in my opinion. Won’t be going back here again. Sorry folks. Wanted to give one star but giving two stars instead for quantity. They do truly provide more than enough, sadly let down in quality.

Food took a while to come out… I should have taken a hint when I found the place empty… but I was craving Indian food… so I took a chance… food was ok but the service is awful… server sleeping in empty stalls and other servers eating their meal at the patio with their bare hands… sorry not coming back.

Excellent food. We got the lunch special with chicken Tikka Masala and lamb curry. Everything was served hot and tasted great. Was quick and easy and very filling. Great lunch option!
