After eating lunch at this place I found a new addiction. I ordered the Beef Teriyaki w/Vegetable Fried Rice, along with an amazingly fresh and flavorful Vegetable Spring Roll. The grilled beef was tender and flavorful and the rice was fresh and a good companion. The house teriyaki sauce was out-of-this-world and perfect for dipping the sliced beef in, as well as mixing some in with the rice. Definitely a place I plan to make a regular.

Teriyaki chicken plate that is about 2 meals for me. It’s really delicious teriyaki chicken and they’re happy to give you extra sauce, which I dump over my rice. it’s all good and I think around $ 8/plate, so it’s a good value, especially if you get to have it again later as leftovers.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars, because it is better than 3 stars, but not as good as 4 stars. I’ve been there a couple of times and I’ve gotten the Spicy chicken teriyaki with either fried or white rice(have to get extra teriyaki sauce on the side because the rice can be a little dry) and the food is 3.5 star good. The chicken is all charbroiled and it tastes really good, it makes up for the rice being a little too dry. I think the price is probably $ 1.50-$ 2 too high, but the food is good– & I would recommend it– as I do go here probably once a month.(don’t recommend the egg roll. it is greasy and crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside) The lady at the front(who I assume is an owner?) is always very sweet and friendly.

This place has been around for few months and has a very local mom and pop vibe. Parking here at busy lunch hour can be a task but if you come little after lunch or at 11 am when they open, you’re IN for a pleasant surprise! Décor keeps changing every time I stop by which tells me that the owners are trying very hard to get this going. Most important for me is the taste of the food and the service(of course…) Teriyaki Chicken(spicy or regular) is the BOMB! They really have amazing food. I live up North of Plano but when I’m in Richardson, I make sure I get my teriyaki from this place. They make everything fresh and the prices, while they seem a little steep, are more than fair with the amount of food and the quality of the food you get! I’ve been going there since they opened. The teriyaki sauce they make in house has a good balance of flavor without being too sweet or salty. Andy the key word here is «sauce they make in house» not store bought. Overall I love it there and am always pleased with my service and food.

Cold veggies, oily egg rolls, cocktail sized napkins, hand written signs, and a strange presentation explain why this place is empty at lunch hour in a busy restaurant area. I feel bad when it’s painfully clear someone has no idea how to run a restaurant and they are trying(in their mind) their hardest… But it’s days are clearly numbered.

I’ve been to Teriyaki Sensei twice during my lunch break for take-out. Both times I had the Spicy Teriyaki Chicken with white rice and steamed veggies. I have enjoyed my meal both times and have not had any issues. The serving size was more than enough and I’ll definitely be going back.

Asked for beef AND shrimp teriyaki. Owner said«can’t do». «Try beef and shrimp fried rice». I did. Massive plate of rice, no beef, no shrimp. This place is not long for this world.

I thought this place was quite good! New restaurant in the area. I had the spicy orange chicken for lunch and thought it was tasty. Menu is very simple which I can appreciate! Restaurant was clean, prices are fair and service was fast. Will be back to try more of the menu.

I had high hopes for this restaurant but unfortunately not worth a second visit. Rice was the only thing that was hot on my plate. Stir fried vegetables were cold. I had the chicken breast and beef teriyaki and the meat was between cold and warm. It was like they had been cooked hours ago and just sitting waiting to be served. For the price, the meat should be fresh and cooked to order. Not worth the price at all!

We kept passing by hoping that there were some other brave souls trying out this new place, but each time we went by it was either empty or closed. So we kept chickening out. But today we made the decision to go for lunch. For real. We went around 1:45 and there were a few tables with customers. That was to be expected since we got there after the lunch rush. Our order was taken quickly and the lady at the register was friendly. There was a bar that had the fountain drinks, a rice cooker, kimchi and various condiments. The rice is all-you-can-eat if you dine in — which would be a huge plus for our kids. I ordered the gyoza appetizer, the tonkatsu plate and 2 drinks. The gyoza were deep fried, which wasn’t expected and they tasted ok. The tonkatsu plate came with a portion of rice about the size of a small bowl and a small salad. The salad dressing was a little watery — it had decent flavor and I wish that I had a little bit more. The rice was a little dry but passable. The tonkatsu was a huge portion and tasted pretty good. It was nice and crispy and seasoned well. They gave me a small cup of tonkatsu sauce which tasted just like the Bulldog brand that we would eat at home. I wish I had a little bit more to eat with my gigantic piece of pork. We’ll definitely be back with the kids. We’re hoping that they eventually add other Japanese favorites like Curry to the menu. That way we could get Katsu Curry, Chicken Katsu Curry or Curry Udon next time we go! Whee!
