As a former food writer, this is my restaurant of choice in the Tri-Cities. The staff is friendly, welcoming. The food is fascinating – the kind of food I used to prepare back in the days when I was exploring the vast world of ingredients and food preparation. Now I’m quite happy to sit and enjoy what I’m served at Ethos. I miss the Sunday Suppers though, the amazing winery-inspired dinners where we all sat around one long table at their other place and talked about food and wine.

This is a convenient lunch option if you work in North Richland, but there are a couple tradeoffs you should be prepared to make. I ordered the«Spring Harvest Gnocchi» from the lunch menu for takeout and it was ready to go when I showed up 15 minutes after I placed the order over the phone. Ethos almost ran out of the Gnocchi before noon, but thankfully had one serving left. However, I’m not so sure they should have scraped together the extra Gnocchi, because the portion size did not match my expectations nor the price of $ 14. There were a grand total of 9 gnocchi, a smattering of peas, and a couple of spinach leaves. You get more for a third of the price as an appetizer elsewhere. Thoroughly disappointed at the cost to portion ratio. As for the quality, I can say they make a good dish from a taste perspective. Ditto with the $ 3 strawberry sage muffin.

We tried this for a dinner meal for the first time. The atmosphere is what I would call Casual Chic, not necessarily fancy but very well polished. The food was absolutely amazing. It is one of the open kitchen type atmosphere so you can see the chef at work as well. Both of our meals were exquisite, and prepared with obvious care. The menu was extremely diverse, and unlike anything that we have been able to find in the Tri-Cities area. While the portions were not large, it was quite filling and satisfying. The owner was there, and was very personable and friendly. We were looking for something different for a dinner venue, and we certainly found it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who was just the same. It is not an inexpensive place by the way

Amazing! Fresh, locally sourced, gourmet, very nice wine list, unexpected. Menus change by season. We had the Wild Mushroom Deviled Eggs(with nettle pesto, crispy guanciale, crème fraîche, and chive), Lamb-Beef Meatballs(with spinach-tomato ragu, feta, and mint), and Forager’s Pie(pizza crust topped with sweet onion bechamel, wild boar, smoked mozzarella, roasted mushrooms, spring onion, braised carrot, rosemary, and pea tendrils). All good, I particularly liked the meatballs although I felt they were a bit overcooked. Did not like their decaf espresso. Unique, enjoyable, and recommended!

Very good food — pizza(not the typical), pasta, deviled eggs, burger, a nice variety… The food has been a little on the luke-warm side a couple times, but hasn’t happened in a while. Servers are knowledgable and friendly. Good atmosphere. It is a little«uppity», in case you don’t like that atmosphere — my husband and I have on multiple occasions been over looked by the manager(or owner?) and severs and it comes across as if we don’t always look the part(what can I say, we are casual). That is, until someone finally asks what my husband does for a living, then they change their tune. That is my only gripe, the staff seems to cater more to the wealthy(looking) guests. At least that is our perception.

In Pasco for just two days for work. Atmosphere is upscale, fresh, and inviting. Mix of small and larger tables. I ordered one of the gourmet personal pizzas — enough for TWO people. Delicious. Highly recommended.

My sisters were in town and we took then here for dinner and it was AMAZING … Everything was perfect. We tried a little of all the offerings and we were so delighted with each bite .And the staff was wonderful. We really loved that we could watch everything being prepared. We can not wait until our next visit. Highly recommend this restaurant …

I have eaten lunch here several times, both food and service were very good. The pizzas were exceptional. I was a bit disappointed with dinner. The burger was over cooked and very dry. The deep fry oil needed to be replaced because both fried risotto balls and fries came out very dark(looked burned). Not sure if we will go back for dinner any time soon.

The best meal I have had in Richland /TriCities . Great donuts, bread and brunch food. Great drinks.

Food is pretty good for the tricities but prices are high and portions are ultrasmall. It would cost an average person ~40 bucks(conservatively) to get full. Maybe good for folks trying to maintain their figure. Just not for me. Worth a visit though…

It makes me so happy that a restaurant like this exists in the Tri Cities area! We don’t need anymore chain restaurants or cheap food in huge portions. This takes me back to living in a big city and going to a genuinely nice/yummy restaurant. The food is AMAZING.

The food and service were amazing. Everything is made in house and very seasonal. We had lunch there today and the food was exceptional. Also save room for the desserts. Macaroons here are comparable to France!

Was really looking forward to the Sunday brunch today, so we waited 30 minutes past our noon reservation. At 12:35, the staff seated a party with a 12:30 reservation instead of us. Unbelievably disappointing! After we were told we needed to wait longer, we let the host know we were leaving… None of the staff seemed concerned and they let us go. Not sure if or when we’ll be back at Ethos.

I love Ethos. The owners are great and the treats are delicious! They have beer, wine, and a full menu. Can’t wait to schedule a meet-up here with friends. Classy place with good food! Just keeps getting better!

Great place to be. Love the atmosphere and the servers knowledge of the food being served. The chef has amazing choice of many different delicacies and the food was to die for! Recommend this place to anyone, one of the top restaurants in Tricities

Ethos is the only high-end place in North Richland, a place that is slowly growing but lacking in lots of things. While a new addition, I’m sure lots of people will be happy with new options and another good date restaurant. And if you aren’t used to having lots of options Ethos will be great. In Chicago it would be another story, and so my review is perhaps skewed with my own rose-tinted glasses. Service is great, food presentation is nice, but portion size, taste, and price leave something to be desired. The Butternut Tortellini just look amazing, and the balsamic crème plated nicely. But the tortellini were fried, disappointingly reducing the flavor from the butternut squash. Still worth the $ 6, just wish they were baked, or boiled, or prepared in a way that wasn’t frying. The Buckwheat Pork Rib Lasagne was one of the smallest pieces of lasagna I have ever had, and I left hungry after both an app and an entrée. Sure the pork ribs and buckwheat noodles added a unique flavor to it, but there wasn’t the heat that provolone piccante would indicate and mushrooms dulled the flavor a bit. So nice exterior, but more work needed on the interior. Ethos is very new, and has nothing really to compete against, so only time will tell if the food quality goes up or down.

Kind of near PNNL in the Research District in same building footprint of GESA almost on the corner of Stevens Drive and University Way. We(three of us) enjoyed a fun lunch at Ethos Trattoria. The dining room is spacious with high ceilings, large tables with Riedel Wine Glassware a view of the beautiful copper pizza wood fire oven and prep-chefs cooking area. We decided to try(3) different single serving(~12″) pizzas($ 13.00 each). We enjoyed the«Razorback, L’Italiana and Pesca Bella Pizza’s. Each exhibited different base sauces and topping combinations. The wine list is limited with(2) whites,(2) reds,(2) rose’,(1) sparkling Prosecco. Wine mark-ups weren’t too bad. Craft beer selections were pretty decent. Kitchen efficiency was pretty good and the service was very good The restaurant advertises they are open from 07:00AM to 9:00PM(Weekdays) and(08:00AM to 10:00PM) on Saturdays. Be aware they enforce their serving times. Cut-off for breakfast is 11:00AM, Cut-off for lunch is 2:00PM. Dinner begins at 5:00PM. You are basically AWOL from 2:00PM — 5:00PM with very limited eating selections. We checked out their dinner menu. Prices and interesting entrée selections are reasonable and diverse. We will be back to try dinner.

Went in for lunch on a Friday at about 12:30, service was good for how busy they were. It’s not fast food, but it wasn’t slow. The open kitchen allows you to see cooks hustling, which is always nice. Food was excellent! I’ve eaten dinner at Ethos Bakery(the precursor) a number of times and was always pleased. But at a new establishment there’s always room for mistakes. Not here! I ordered the burger, which insanely is served on a croissant. Buttered leeks, maple bacon vinaigrette, and Beecher’s sharp cheddar top a perfectly cooked 8 oz. burger! With those toppings, it’s a fork and knife burger. I paused at about 5 oz, but ate the last several bits. Interestingly, the patty is so big it stayed hot all the way through. Daughter got a «personal» pizza. This is no greasy 5-inch gut bomb from Pizza Hut. This is crispy/flaky 10-inch, hand-tossed, sourdough crust baked in their beautiful copper topped stone oven. She got the l’ Italiana with charred eggplant sauce, summer squash, squash blossoms and mozzarella. She ate half — so two meals for the price of one! Side note she was in Italy in July and said of one of the restaurants«The pizza was good, but Ethos is better.» Espresso(Stumptown beans) available all day, for north end workers who really need a jolt to finish a 4 – 10 schedule! Note! The TV may not be there yet. But it will be tucked away in a corner for news junkies. They plan to keep it on BBC America or other foreign outlets to serve the many foreign workers at Battelle PNNL and Areva.
