Jersey Mike’s Subs

This is the worst Jersey Mikes I’ve ever been to. They have screwed up my order 3 times. I get the same thing every time I order which is a chipotle chicken philly. The first time I went they gave me beef. The second time they gave me just a regular chicken philly. When I went back to correct them, the guy making the food made me yet another chicken philly with little to no chipotle sauce and undercooked chicken. The guy making my sandwich had headphones on so maybe that was distracting him from being a decent «cook». I will never return and if you’re placing a special order that involves them actually cooking the food, keep driving. Not worth your money or time. The staff was barely apologetic and I didn’t even ask for a refund. I wish I could give them a ZERO.

Yummy food. A little more the subways prices but much better quality. The staff is super friendly and seems on top of things.

I have always been a fan of Jersey Mike’s. There is something to say about having the meat sliced right in front of you as opposed to having the store pull the pre-​sliced meat out of a bin! This location was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Even with folks in line behind me, I was surprised to have the guy making my sandwich ask me how my day was going so far and take pride in providing a friendly atmosphere, while still quick at work as to not hold up the other customers.
As for the sandwich, it was good but not the best I have ever had. I recently decided I would start waiting to post a review after I have visited the location more than once if I have the ability to do that. In this case, I do not reside in the Richmond area, so they only had one chance with me. I was not dissatisfied, but they weren’t a one hit wonder either. Although the sandwich was good, there were a few things that made it not the best Jersey Mikes sandwich I have had in my life.
The gentleman making it was as nice as he could be, but got very heavy handed with the pickles, banana peppers, and O&V. I should have spoken up. It made it seem like I had been punched in the face by a vinegar bomb in certain bites. I also found it weird that when I ordered my Italian Sub and my friends «American Classic» (ham and cheese), I was given about the same portion of ham as my friend, and was also given that portion of three other meats. I would have thought he should have gotten at least 3 times the ham I was given on my sandwich. Hence, I would recommend the sandwiches with a larger assortment of meats. if you are hungry, that’s the way to go at this spot! When I brought it to my friend, he mentioned his meat portion was pretty weak. The only other downside to the heavy O&V is that I have the feeling my leftover half sandwich could be a little soggy. But, I should not be so quick to judge, I have not opened it yet. One of the great things about Jersey Mikes is that their bread is hearty enough to withstand the juice (at least for a little while).
All in all, it was a good lunch and maybe next time they will kick it up a notch!

There are so many sandwich places in town, but this one stood out to me in comparison. I stopped by here just to try something different, and discovered they have great sandwiches, I got a cheese steak on wheat with chips. The one downside, they are a little pricey, but the food is good.
Bonus for me was the cashier saw I was wearing an Xfinity shirt and hat and he told me that because I work for Comcast, I get a 10% disocunt. Pretty cool… Every little bit helps.

I just recently discovered this particular Jersey Mikes. I was anxious to give them a try. I have been going to Jersey Mikes in Short Pump for many years, and they have always been consistence in making a great Sub.
I ordered the Italian Sub and they had a NEW guy in training… and he did a great job. I asked for extra toppings and he was very accommodating. The final product was great, and I have NO complaints. So, I am glad to see a Jersey Mikes closer to home and I do not have to travel as far.
The ONE problem I had with this store, they posted several photos of the place and it is NOT the same place. So, I posted a couple in what the place really looks like. It is clean and inviting. You can miss the place easily if you are traveling on Staples Mill Rd. You almost have to be on top of it to see where it is located… Once you do find it, it is worth the trip.
I plan to go back again soon. Jersey Mikes makes a great Sub, however they are limited in what they can put on the sub and they ONLY have a couple of choices in the choice of Sub Roll. Check them out when you can… You will not be disappointed.

You have a different kind of sub here, more of an old school Italian bread, good quality meats and sizeable portions.
I have had the steak and cheese twice and it’s awesome. My girlfriend had the grilled chicken Philly and loved it.
All in all the best sub I’ve had in Richmond. That’s why I give it five stars for what it is, a sub shop. The staff here at Staples Milk is friendly and helpful.

If you want a quick sub, go to Jersey Mikes. They have high quality meats unlike other chain restaurants (Jimmy Johns). Highly recommend the Cancro special which is Pepperoni and Roast beef. Make sure you get it Mikes Way.

I agree with other reviewers in saying, for a chain sub place, Jersey Mike’s is the best. They slice the meat and cheese right in front of you, the bread is fresh-​baked, and the toppings are usually fresh. Get the two hams and provolone every time. The Apple map has the location misplaced at Staples Mill and Glenside, when it is actually on the SW corner of Staples Mill and Parham Roads.

Jersey Mike’s is probably the best place for subs of the chain stores. The meat is always cut to order and the people are always friendly. My only complaint is they seem to have been preparing for the bacon apocalypse for years. Every time I order a sub that includes bacon they seem to «forget» to put it on until I remind them and then it is used very sparsely. I will also say the last couple of times I have gone they seem to be doing the same with the amount of meat on the sandwich which doesn’t justify their higher prices. All in all a good sub but my visits have become less frequent because of the price for amount of food.

Jersey mikes rarely dissapoints in terms of fresh ingredients and taste. They have daily specials on combos too which makes the price right, although even without the specials I still don’t mind paying a little premium because these subs are so much better than anwhere else. The one issue I have with this place is it feels a little dirty. Just a little time wiping the counters and making sure employees shirts, hats, etc are in good shape would make this place go from good to very good.

I had the Italian «Mike’s Way» and it was delish! It was a ½ hr. Before closing and the staff was as friendly as ever. Sometimes, staff can have an attitude when customers arrive just before closing and this is what I waws expecting. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful customer service and frienliness.
The sandwich was great and he bread was fresh!

WTF I had no idea there was a Jersey Mike’s hidden here! As good as all the other Jeresey Mike’s! Make sure to go during peak hours, or expect your sandwich decorator to be stoned like a mountain! Club Supreme is the way to go!
