It’s not that it’s bad per se, it’s just that there’s so much better. Maybe 15 years ago or so before a bunch of other places that significantly upped their BBQ game started popping up all over would this place be considered good. With all the competition in BBQ available nowadays though, Dickey’s has fallen far behind the curve. The ribs were mostly tasteless, and seemed like they may have been par boiled. Turkey was kinda mushy and flavorless. Brisket was moist but more«roast beefy» than smokey. The sides(green beans and BBQ beans in my case) tasted like they came out of a can from Walmart. The pecan pie was ok, but then again, pecan pie is always good. I did like the roll it came with though, and the service was friendly. The 3 meat plate with a slice of pie and a drink came out to almost $ 18. For that much, there’s so many other places that are far better you can go to, and not very far too. If your were in the middle of Minnesota craving BBQ and this was all that was available, sure, go for it. But in Texas where there’s a dozen other places within a 15 minute drive? No way. Not recommended if only because there’s so much better out there.

Tried it a couple times. I have had better bbq. Definitely better options out there. Overall just kind of blah

Bbq is good for chain restaurant bbq. Other than the food, the staff and customer service is quite terrible honestly. Almost every time I’ve walked in to eat there, whether it be take-out or dine-in, I’ve received a very unwelcoming glare. No greeting at all. Not a very friendly staff!

Probably one of my favorite Dickeys. Service is really good and the people are very nice. I enjoy the Po Boy brisket sandwich because it’s a very good size for the money.

We usually just order take put so I can’t comment on any longterm interaction with the staff but my husband who’s dashing in while I sit outside with the kids usually doesn’t have an issue. I would like to point out that any to go orders should be checked before you leave especially if desert was ordered because time and time again my husband’s come home missing something because he was in too much of a hurry to check. The food however, the sauce and the prices are great. Always fresh, hot and tastey. We prefer this to the Keller location which is a tad closer.

I like their barbeque sauce better than other places in the area. The staff is usually gruff, but they are quick. Other Dickey’s have waffle fries, here it’s steak fries. Their sweet tea is great. It’s just kinda meh food. They always and I do mean always have Fox News on. If you want to see my blood pressure raise that is a great way to do it. I just always sit facing away from the tv’s, so that my dinner isn’t ruined. Not sure why you’d not have sports instead.

This dickeys for some reason is on another level than the other dickeys I have been to. And kids eat free on wednesdays!

Baked potatoes and rolls, yet, they have no butter. Yes, they have some kind of whipped chemical spread… that is not butter. I have no problem with offering the fake stuff to those who prefer, but have the real stuff for people who prefer. It’s like only offering sweet & low and not having sugar. It just doesn’t jive. The BBQ… well, it’s not bad, not stellar. Staff isn’t helpful. Not impressed.

I have to preface my review by admitting that I am a Yankee who was forced to move to Texas. That being said, this is a chain BBQ place and I understand that BBQ is a bit of a sacred thing in this state. I did, however, like my lunch here! I went here for the heck of it. You order at the counter, then grab a tray and get your sides yourself. I had a BBQ Pork sandwich and two sides. You grab the sides yourself so you can really load up your plate! I got mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. That and my sandwich and a drink came to like $ 10. I noticed behind me was a mini-salad-bar thing — which had cheese and bacon bits — which i promptly added to both my mac n cheese and potatoes. I also noticed — a self-serve soft-serve vanilla ice cream station! Free ice cream! The sandwich was all right — the pork was good in that it was not fatty at all. Not HUGELY flavorful but OK. The sauce was that typical overly sweet stuff I have been finding at these chains — I actually really liked the sauce — you can go get more if you want, which I did. But it’s almost like they use some kinda strong sweetener, or fresh vinegar — it’s the type of BBQ sauce that kinda burns your tongue? But as I said — I’m a yankee so what do I know? I still liked it. The mac n cheese and potatoes were all right — adding the bacon and cheese helped. I had the ice cream too just because — well, it’s FREE! This would be a good place for kids: go up and get more sauce or whatnot. Napkins on each table. Free ice cream(and cones too, no less!). Make a mess and some noise and you’re fine. I did like it well enough — very filling for a lunch but I knew that going in. Not bad!

The place was decent in décor. Pro: chicken tacos were good, free soft serve, décor, open condiment bar(great for the baked potatoes) Con: Customer service didn’t exist, a bit over priced The cashier could have asked if there was anything that we wanted that I didn’t see. There was a few things I wanted also, never asked because I didn’t think I would get what I wanted. Considering the place was dead, they should have been doing cartwheels for me. The restaurant management needs to spend some time on the moral. Despite no customers, the employees need to stay engaged, it will help getting out of a slump.

Placed a big order for brisket for take out Brisket was pulled not cut. Way too much excess fat, was not like I had ever gotten from a Dickeys before, when they catered. Too darn pricey for low quality, I was disappointed in this location

Food is very good and the service is welcoming. Price is just a little high compared to other BBQ places.
