The thought behind this non-profit coffee shop is really beautiful and the coffee is sublime. However, I feel like whoever is running this place is not giving the employees an adequate amount of support during business hours… almost like they’re setting them up to fail. More often than not, they are out of drink trays, straws, hot LIDS, the credit card machines not working, the register’s not set up yet, etc. All things that are not the cashier’s responsibility. Any time before 9am there isn’t any management in sight & the ladies are left to fend for themselves. So, although this is usually my go-to for coffee, when I don’t have a lot of time to spare… I go elsewhere. Hopefully management can fix these issues and this shop can flourish.

I love this place! I know a couple people who come here or know of this place and say that their coffee is burnt but I’ve never had any complaints. They offer a wide variety of lattes, cappuccinos and other fancy drinks with a variety of milk to choose from, which is important to me because I’m dairy free. I also really love what the company stands for and all that they do for the community and helping those in need. Aside from their delicious drinks and food, they sell their coffee beans to brew at home as well as interesting and unique clothing items and shoes as well as art. I also visit the Greenhouse Café which is the same owner as frequently as possible. Given the choice between all the local coffee shops around and near my home I definitely choose to go here!

Delicious, freshly roasted coffee beans. All very affordable too(10 – 13 $/pound). My favorite is their Nicaraguan beans– so fruity and well balanced. I love getting my bag of coffee beans here!

Great coffee and good business to support. 1st they roast their own coffee which is such an important key for the best coffee experience 2nd coffee is from fair trade so make you feel even better. They have a great program supporting women in distress, which is all of us task to support the fallen. A+++

The place is nicely decorated! Great variety of fair trade coffee. HOWEVER, customer service wasn’t even close of being great… The lady there had a dry and unfriendly attitude. Pretty much she rushed us to «get what we wanted» and sort of leave! Never invited us to stay! Not sure if I would come back

Stopped by the Coffee Connection on a lovely afternoon in the«South Wedge» area of Rochester, a vibrant and fun area to explore — especially with a cup of CC’s fantastic mocha in your hand. I didn’t ask, but they’re fans of Hedonist Chocolate across the street, so it’s possible they use the same fine chocolate in their mocha… The shop is fun, and not just for the great fair trade coffee connection! There’s art, shoes, clothing and other items to enjoy and maybe even purchase, as well as comfortable seats and tables to while away your time. The focus on fair trade is sincere, and everywhere in the shop; and the local vibe is serious. This is a place that cares about the coffee and its farmers, as well as being part of the«buy local» movement. A small table outside lets you enjoy the scene, as long as someone else isn’t there before you!

What a wonderful place for coffee. Check out their website for their story; it’s very cool. The brew only fair-trade coffee, many organic as well. The women are friendly and make you feel welcome. Their prices are fair too. There is ample seating for studying, small meetings, and dates. It’s a good location with free street-parking. I only order regular coffee, so I cannot comment on their mocha, latte, or other blended drinks, but their coffee is great! They also sell homemade items from Peru(purses, shoes, tablecloths, scarf, jewelry, etc.).

Basically what you expect from a coffee shop. I only ever order regular coffee so can’t comment on the lattes, mochas, chai or whatever other sugary drinks people get, but the coffee here was good. Maybe about 3 or 4 tables and some couches and soft seats so not huge inside but not tiny either. They have quiche but it looked a little grayish so I passed. Would return for coffee though.

I’m a fan of Coffee Connection, but think that a 7pm close for this location is far too early.

This place is so cute and the coffee is delish. All of the ladies there are very friendly and I really like supporting this organization. I find that sometimes it’s a bit chaotic there and the service can be a little slow, but these women aren’t your standard«baristas» so just try to be patient with them, they are always grateful.

A good cup of coffee is necessary to my sanity. I stopped in here the other weekend after wandering around South Wedge. I was on the hunt for some warmth and caffeine. Coffee Connection is a unique coffee shop you can’t help but adore for its«glocal» mission and Peruvian goods. Who doesn’t feel better knowing they’re drinking organic, fair trade, sustainable coffee. Even more than that, the shop provides jobs for women recovering from addiction and homelessness. I must say the baristas made a fabulous soy latte and even got the soy milk foamy, which can be a challenge. While waiting for my coffee I took a peek at the Peruvian jewelry — oh so tempted to purchase. Also, I’ll be back to grab the at-home coffee roasting kit. I love me a DIY weekend activity.

Good Coffee … Good People … very relaxing atmosphere … Very easy 5 Stars! Coffee with a conscience …(actually they phrase it «Conscience in Every Cup!») — They work with women in recovery as well as international efforts of reform. I proudly support their retail and wholesale efforts.

I really like this tiny coffee shop. And it’s for a great cause! They roast their own coffee! and it’s fair trade. Plus, all the women who work there are terribly sweet and friendly. I usually just pop in for a coffee and leave since it’s near my home, but they have some comfy looking chairs and such to sit ad read or chat. I love to browse the eclectic gifts as well! Hedonist chocolates go great with the french roast Peru!

Now called Coffee Connection. Nice neighborhood coffee shop in South Wedge. I’m really rating the all-around organization. This is a not-for-profit with multiple causes and definitely worth supporting(go to the website for more information). Otherwise it’s a good coffee shop. I had the Ecuadorian and Guatemalan. They were good, but not strong enough for me. The PMS cookies were good(minus the name). The décor is standard for an indie coffee shop — assorted second-hand furniture and small tables with Peruvian-styled table-clothes. There are a few comfortable chairs and outdoor seating. Music varied from jazz to indie-alternative at the whim of the barista. They said they have wifi, but my tablet couldn’t find it, which would be a first. If I lived in the neighborhood, I’d frequent there for coffee, but since I have to drive or bike, who knows.
