Stopped for breakfast yesterday and had the French Toast platter which is 4 thick slices of French Toast, eggs, and bacon. Food was delicious, service was good, price was fair($ 24.00 for two of us) place seemed clean as well. This is a chain restaurant that I am embarrassed to say I like, probably for the gift shop as I can always find something neat and funky for someone. Lol Not only do I get a good meal, but I get a gift or two. Also this place can get a bit noisy, but it serves a lot of people so to be expected I guess.

The food here is always delicious. However the service is always slow. The servers don’t come back right away for refills or if you’re missing a side. The biscuits used to come out before dinner. Now you have to ask someone for them and they come out with yor meal or after your meal. I’ve been to other Crackel Barrels before and the service is better.

My family and I were passing by from a long trip to Niagara Falls. It was our first time eating at a Cracker Barrel, and we were blown away by the food and service. It was a Sunday at 3:15pm and we were seated immediately. The waitress was very nice and got our ordered right! The food was delicious. I would recommend and will be going back to a Cracker Barrel near home soon. The fried okra was amazing!

Typical Cracker Barrel, like other locations. They were busy, we were with a large tour group. I know that they have lots of tasty food that I no longer can eat because I’m eating to be healthy and fight cancer and diabetes now. My friends and I, who are also healthy eaters got the vegetable special of 4 side choices for only $ 7.79, which was a great better price than getting individual sides. We all were happy enough with the food, but would not chose to eat here if on our own. Service was OK, I had to ask for a drink refill.

Good old southern food. Having spent my first four years in Memphis when I first came to this country, southern cuisine is something that will always hold a special place with me. Biscuits, gravy, hashbrown casseroles, buttermilk pancackes, cornbread, collard greens, fried green tomatoes, corn. Cracker Barrel is the fix. Hearty food, great friendly staff and super service. Everyone’s always on their tippy toes and make sure you get a good experience out of this place. Definitely a must visit!

Good at being what it is. This is a chain restaurant that specializes in stuffing the living shit out of you. All of our entrees came with respectably large portions, plus way too many sides, plus a big plate o’ biscuits and cornbread. Plus extra food, which I’ll mention below. Entrees– Rainbow trout: This was decent, not overcooked or totally murdered by the ‘lemon-pepper’ seasoning(seas’nin’?) advertised in the menu. Chicken tenderloin dinner: My wife is nuts for this, rave reviews. Mac-n-cheese: one kid loved it, the other did not. fried chicken: both kids loved it Sides – Okra: This is money. Get it. Turnip greens: kindof good, but had an off taste we didn’t really like, we couldn’t eat them Mashed potatoes(taters?): thumbs up from the wife Cole slaw: SUCKS biscuits: they look like doorstops, but are actually tender and flaky within cornbread: bland, but with a great tetxure, especially the crispy edges I’d give it four stars, for tasty food and a decent value(no one’s dinner was over $ 10). But then the service. Not only was it quick, kind and considerate, but she kept giving us extra stuff, and not because we complained. For example, she accidentally brought out two turnip greens instead of one, and just laughed and said we get double for free. Then, when we didn’t really like them, she noticed and all but forced us to take two to-go orders of mac and cheese to make up for it. It kept going like this, just the friendliest and most generous service. We left full and happy. I just hope the plumbing in my house is equal to the task of processing the waste from such feasting. I would add a sixth star, if I could, for décor. See pics.

Okay so we went here for fathers day because my father in law wanted to have breakfast here… Anyway, I have never eaten here in my life and so here was my chance… First off we have to go through the gift shop and this made it seem like we were in Disney Land… Next we get seated relatively quick given the amount of people in the place and the server was very friendly and new her menu well… Next the coffee is served and it was very tasty indeed… Then our meal arrived and it was not half bad and actually tasted well made… So in short this place is just okay with nothing more to say really, it’s just okay…

I really don’t like to frequent chains but these guys do a good job and the food is great if you want comfort food. The pancakes come with real syrup and it’s hot. How can you beat that? The blueberry pancakes are massive and fluffy the yogurt breakfast with egg beaters and turkey bacon and fresh fruit was delicious and very satisfying. I love this place.

I am a hard core Cracker Barrel fan. I’ve gone in many cities and you can’t miss with the grilled catfish, Mac n cheese, or their biscuits. Their eggs in a basket and pancakes are usually awesome as well. Service is normally quick and friendly. Today got a rude waitress, food was just ok and manager didn’t seem to care when we told him our experience was subpar. Prob won’t go back to this location again. Can’t wait for my next road trip!

No! The store was dark and uninviting. I didn’t care for the waiters demeanor. Asked for no mayonnaise and got some. Fries were old. Yes! The manager apologized. I do not recommend this location.

Unlike other chain restaurants… this particular business seems to fall in that category… but not this Cracker Barrel. Despite its country atmosphere, I was thoroughly amazed by what it had to offer. The usual gift area is in the front which to me… depending on what you decide to buy, can be pricey such as the classic candy or trinkets. However, the products they carry are sometimes American-made after inspecting some of the tags, but most were Chinese which is well… disappointing. The decorations and styling was the typical country, rustic atmosphere you would expect so nothing new there. Alas, the food here I would imagine would’ve been mediocre to fair, but my pancakes and sausage had good flavor and satisfied my hunger so nothing to complain there. The waitress’s I had for both times I went there were always cheerful and were happy to serve me… a bit creepy but pleasant. A bit interesting to find a Cracker Barrel that doesn’t turn me off… but I’ll be more than glad to return though, mostly only for the food.

That restaurant/store that our parents and grandparents are always talking about and now I see why. I went to Cracker Barrel for what I can say. was the first time. since the last time I visited I was super young. I did remember it being very homey and it all came back to me when I stepped in the door. If you’ve never stepped foot in this place just try and imagine a rustic, farm-like setting mixed with country style seating and décor. I was meeting other people who were already seated so I didn’t get a chance to see how the wait was, or how long it took to be seated. Being a Saturday around dinner time it actually seemed fine and it didn’t seem too busy either. I think one thing I instantly enjoyed was the fact that you could order breakfast, lunch, or dinner. honestly sometimes I’m in the mood for either one no matter the time of the day. This time I went for lunch I guess. Our waiter was excellent. He served us our food and had a smile. I think that’s all you need honestly. No complainants at all. Oh and of course on the way out/in you get sucked into the cute-ness of the store with all the candy, jewelry, clothing and home décor. I was tempted to buy things that I didn’t need… so props to Cracker Barrel for setting up their place like this. almost worked on me, haha. All in all. yeah I’d come back. The food was beyond reasonably priced and delicious and the staff was excellent.

My husband and I are not a huge fans of chain restaurants for breakfast but our family wanted to meet here. We personally prefer those little«mom and pop/greasy spoon“diners. Food: We were kind of disappointed that Cracker Barrel does not have regular home fries or hash brown patties. Instead they have hash brown casserole… Of which, we are both lactose intolerant and did not want to risk it. Our meals were ok. Would be hard to mess up eggs and bacon. Service: The service was excellent! It was nice that every server who passed offered us more coffee. Overall: We feel that Cracker Barrel is a little over priced for the food quality and smaller portions. If you are looking for«southern comfort food,» this is probably the closest thing around. Won’t be back anytime soon.

Like other Unilocaler’s I don’t love chain restaurants and I have a grandma who does. A-OK cause you get exactly what you expect. Our waitress was kind but a bit off, for instance; I asked for some water, which she brought and then when delivering it she asked the table if they needed anything else, someone said a water so she looked at her tray befuddled and gave them mine. I asked«can I also have a water», she looked at me and said«yeah I just gave her yours», «yeah I know, that’s why I’m asking for another one» I replied. I ordered the chicken friend chicken, it was moist and flavorful, oddly I couldn’t tell from the shape(odd) and texture if it was a patty or a butterflied breast. Mac n cheese cause why not, I’m not going to make a pan for myself… was low on flavor but high on creamy. The turnip greens were inedible, tough, stringy and the dried meat didn’t help. Sweet potato was a standard bake with some brown sugar. The biscuits were good but cold. Over all I find the clientele and the setting a bit depressing but you know what you’re going to get in each one you walk into.

I only ever dine here occasionally for breakfast(lunch or dinner are a no-no!). Breakfast was great as always. If you arrive around noon on any given Sunday, be prepared to wait for a bit. Most people browse in the store or enjoy the rocking chairs while waiting, so the time passes by much quicker. Again, if in Henrietta, Cracker Barrel is a much better choice than IHOP. Why? Well for starters, I’ve never encountered a hair baked in my waffle. I’ve never had to wait like an hour and a half for a meal because the chef quit mid-day and walked out AND it is generally much cleaner. There’s also a really sweet server there who has been there about fifteen years and shes really awesome. This past weekend, we had a party of four and were seated within twenty-five minutes. Our food arrived very quickly and everyone enjoyed the meal. Our sever was very friendly and attentive. She also seemed to know what we wanted as soon as we began to give our order, this was very cool, but almost creepy(like she was reading our minds). Overall, on a lazy Sunday, its an alright place to grab a quick meal.

The wife and I were down for some chow, but nothing in the area was jumping out at us. I had a bit of a brainstorm and suggested Cracker Barrel, given that I had not eaten there since(I calculated) 2003. I’m fascinated by the concept of Cracker Barrel(here on referred to as CB) since they don’t advertise. Seriously, has anyone seen even a print ad? No television commercials up this way, or radio for that matter… yet the parking lot always seems to be fairly full. There must be something to it! So we headed in, and you go through the«gift shop» to get to the hostess stand. Which, I must say, is smart marketing, because you at least get the idea planted in a diner’s head that *there is stuff to buy on the way out.* Smart for the kids, too, I’d bet. Lots of toys and food and knickknacks and things you probably don’t really need. My wife and I were seated, and I can only describe the décor as a «countrified TGIF.» This is not a bad thing; actually, some of the stuff on the walls was pretty cool, but I dig that old-timey look. My head swiveled around for a bit until the server came. The missus went with the meatloaf and some sides; I opted for the chicken-fried steak. Drinks came fast; corn muffins and biscuits came fast. So far, so good. The meals themselves were not bad! I say that… how to put this. My wife’s meatloaf was good, and according to her, the mashed potatoes were good too. We both got a cucumber, tomato & onion salad as a side — again, not bad. Not mind-blowingly good, but not bad at all. I had ordered(as sides) the fried okra and the mac & cheese(along with the aforementioned salad). All were… good. Comfort food, no frills, good. Now for the chicken-fried steak with pepper gravy… good. Solid. But here’s where I get deep. I’ve never really had a chicken-fried steak, with the exception of a Chicken-Fried Steak Bagel Sandwich at a McDonald’s down in Roanoke back in 1998.(Really. Test-market stuff.) So I have no benchmark already set when it comes to a chicken-fried steak. I asked myself, well, is this good? It’s not bad! There’s flavor, and it IS what the menu says it is. I know one review for CB slammed their gravy — it’s pepper gravy. I know that’s right. So if you were to ask me, «Hey, was the chicken-fried steak good?» then I’d have to say yes… though I really don’t have anything to compare it to in terms of «better than» or «worse than.» Overall, the meal was good, and inexpensive — we only dropped around $ 25 for the food and drinks alone, not counting tip. Of course, they did get me for another $ 10 when we came back through the gift shop. Don’t be fooled, there IS some good stuff in there. There were probably a few things I could have picked up that I absolutely DIDNOTNEED but would have been fun to have(who wants a bacon bookmark? or candy dots on paper?). But bottom line, the food, service and ambience were what I expected — just not mind-blowing and jaw-dropping. A solid, fair meal worth a visit or two. Don’t take my three-star review as a cue to avoid the place.

Ugh, did not like the food here at all! Which was really disappointing since I heard such good reviews from family. I had the chicken and dumplins with baby carrots, corn, and pinto beans(and comes with biscuits and corn bread), and the only thing that I found really good was the biscuits. The chicken was plain-tasting and smothered in the same«okay» broth as the dumplins. Dumplins were overcooked and mushy, and so were the carrots. The first server I had(who was apparently just trying to help out the actual server for the table since he was busy) was super friendly and enthusiastic. My experience probably would have been much better if she stuck around. Unfortunately, my actual server was just plain awful. He kept trying to rush us out(even though the restaurant wasn’t closing yet) and wasn’t around when we needed anything. The store part is kinda neat. They sell some snacks and trinkets and such, which were fun to explore. unfortunately, my experience at the restaurant was so awful that even the store part can’t redeem a few more stars. Definitely NOT going back! NOT worth my time or money!

I say so many times how I am not a fan of chain restaurant, and yet I find myself going to them every once in a while. Actually, my husband really likes their breakfast food, and we will stop in on an occasional Monday when he has off. We were scoping out the scene over at the new Golden Corral.(Again with the chain restaurants!) BUT, we figured we’d at least see what’s up. Of course the line was ridiculous — people waiting outside, wrapped around the building, in the rain. NO thanks. After scoping out a few places that were too packed, we headed over the Cracker Barrel because, well, there was no longer a wait. I was either too hungry to judge the quality of the food, or it was really good. I went for chicken and dumplings. Something I RARELY eat, and really liked it. The greenbeans were so good. And the friend okra. Ok, I think I was really hungry. Everything was so good. My husband’s burger was tasty too. And probably the best part of our dinner was the waitress. A friendly, pleasant older woman who seemed happy to be working even if it was busy. She made me smile, and well after the crazy week I’ve had… it was nice. And we were able to pick up some Big Red soda for father’s day in their country store. Worked out all around. Bottom line: great breakfast. great in a pinch.

Stopped in for a mid-morning brunch and is a good choice because they serve breakfast all day and served the lunch & dinner items when we sat down so that everybody could have what they wanted. We had a group of 12 and thought we’d have to wait forever, but only waited less than 10 minutes and they sat us front and center in front of the fireplace. Luckily it wasn’t lit or my backside would have been flame grilled. Standard comfort food is what Cracker Barrel is famous for and consistency across the country is what we like. My son had the eggs-in-a-basket where the eggs are centered in cut out pieces of toast. Cute for the kids. I had the meatloaf, which is pretty standard, but the accompanying sides always make the meal for me. You can’t easily get hash brown casserole and fried okra in the NE, so I indulge. Gonna have to start a list for all the cracker barrels we go to!
